Lost in Temptation

Chapter Four

Lissa frowned slightly in thought. Her face looked very cute like that, I mused as we

headed towards our familier meeting place, it had been there we'd first met, the attic. When

we arrived I lounged against the wall, Lissa was leaning her sleak blond head against my

chest, and scowling about something.

"Why does she think she can just snap her fingers and get me to go anywhere she

wants, anytime she wants?" Lissa said voice slipping into a growl. I thought I knew who she

was talking about. "Because she's the queen, and you basically made a deal with the devil."

I wrapped my arms around her and she relaxing. The devil it would seem is an old witchy

moroi

with a bad temper and a fondness for dhampir males, go figure.

"For the last few weeks, I've done everything she's asked, 'Vasilisa, please show this

stupid visiting royal around campus; Vasilisa please put please put in some volenteer time

with the younger student, it looks good on aplications." I almost laughed, she'd mimicked

the queen's voice to the teeth, or was the expression 'to the tee?' I forget.

"You would have done the second willingly, I pointed out."Exactly," Lissa

exclaimed, "willing, not being needed to be told what to do. I would try to stand to her, but

that's not what I do, I am like,'yes queen Tatiana." Lissa sighed, "If only Rose was still here,

she would have told off Tatiana if she tried to get her to do those things." I laugh at the

thought and kiss Lissa on the cheek. "Rose would be arrested for treason the first time

Tatiana tried to get her to do something." When she smiled it was a sad smile, "yeah she

would," Lissa sighed yet again. "I miss her so much. I know Adrian is able to know that she

is okay because he visits her dreams. My healing is getting better and the aura thing is

easy, but still no dreams yet, the bad thing is this bond is one way so i don't know if she's

hurt or anything. Do you think I would know if..." she paused suddenly, and I could tell she

was beating herself up inside. "Maybe, maybe not, Rose is fine though she can take care of

herself," I said firmly and we trailed into silence.

After a minute I began to run my hands thru her hair, she leaned back and kissed me,

just as we began to kiss more deeply she pulled away. "It's time we have to go," Lissa

whispered." I wish she wouldn't. "Maybe this is the perfect time for you to stand up to the

queen," I said slyly. "It would be a great way to build character." She rolled her eyes and

elbowed in the chest, but she was smiling and kissed me on the forehead as she stood

up. "That's not why you want me to stay, so don't even try to play me Ozera." I smirked and

stood up following her out and muttered, "It's a hell of a lot more than playing I want to do."

I'm not sure if she heard me but she elbowed me again anyway. They're sharp by the way.

We made our way to the adminastrators building, because dear queen Tatiana wanted

Lissa to meet some royal. I felt slightly like a tag along puppy as I followed. 'You're hear for

suport,' I reminded myself.

When we arrived Kirova was talking to two people, an older moroi man and a young

moroi girl who looked about me and Lissa's age. Kirova looked up at our aproach, "Ah

Ms.Dragomir, there you are." She completely ingnored me (not surprising as I was pretty

sure I wasn't suposed to be hear). She guestured towards the two strangers, "this is

Eugene Lazar and his daughter Avery." She turned back to Lissa and me. "This is Vsilisa

Dragomir and Christian Ozera." We all shook hands like good little children. I guess she'd

desided to egnoledge my existance after all.

"Mr. Lazar is going to be the new headmaster here," the bomb dropped and I felt my

mouth threaten to drop open. Lissa's head jerked up and her eyes widened, "What?" "I'll be

stepping down though though I'll still be here as a teacher." Mr. Lazar inturuped the

awkwardness to ask us to show Avery to the guest housing and we agreed. As we were

leaving we also met Reed and Simon, Avery's brother and guardian. After that we didn't talk

much but showed Avery the housing and left, which was strange by the way.

"What's up you don't like her?" Lissa shrugged, "I don't know she..., I don't know I'm still

trying to figure it out." "Or maybe it's the fact that the 'Dear' queen made you introduce

her?" 'or she's useing Avery to spy on you.' I laughed, "now there's a thought." "What?" Lissa

asked slightly confused. "Avery could be a spy." "Ugh don't remind me."
