A Daydream Away

Chapter 27

*6 MONTHS LATER*

“WOW Lace you look stunning” Ana and Cass gasped as I exited the fitting room. I had brought them along for the final fitting of my wedding dress.

I felt like such a princess in my dress. I had designed it with the help of the shop assistant. I loved it. It was strapless, white lace, tight fitted at the top and flowed outwards at the bottom. The train wasn’t long so i wouldn’t trip up when i turned around. My tiara was simple with a few jewels as was my veil.

“Alex is going to die when he sees you like that Lace.”

“I hope not” I winked at Ana

“You know what i meant!”

“Go put on your dresses!” I ordered pointed to the fitting room and stamping my feet like a bridezilla before laughing. “You look beautiful!”

“You picked lovely dresses.” They both did a turn in their dresses. They were floor length purple dresses, with a halter neck and a small band around the middle.

“I’M GETTING MARRIED!!!!” I yelled as the both gave me a hug.

“Ok i think we have to get changed now.” I pouted at Cassadee’s comment.

“I don’t wanna!”

“Lacey you have to. You get to wear it in 2 days. NOW GO GET CHANGED!”

We all headed back to the fitting rooms in our lovely dresses and came back out with our boring, normal clothes on. We gave our dresses back to the lady and she carefully put them back into their individual bags. I patted the one with my dress in it.

“Goodbye lovely dress, see you in 2 days.”

“Does Alex know he is marrying a crazy lady who talks to dresses?”

“Shut-up, now let’s go get changed.”

They hadn’t told me anything about my bachelorette party. I laughed as i imagined Alex’s bachelor party ending with a staggering sing- song along the streets, a topless, drunken Jack chatting up every lady he walked past and most likely a stripper at some point in the night.

We all got changed into our new outfits for tonight: mines was a turquoise dress that went to about mid-thigh, was strapless and had a black bow at the side. I wore black heels with this, Ana’s was a baby pink dress that went to about mid-thigh too and silver heels, Cass wore an electric blue shirt with black high wasted shorts and black high heeled boots. We all looked hot if I say so myself.

“Ana would you take a picture of us to send to the boys” Cassadee asked while tossing Ana her phone. We placed one arm around each other’s back and the other hand on our hips.
Within a few minutes of sending the picture both Cass’s and my phones were vibrating.

FROM ALEX: YOU LOOK SEXY BABY! I LOVEEEEE YOUUUUU! <3 XX

TO ALEX: Thanks babe. I love you too <3 P.S. don’t sleep with and don’t let jack marry any prostitutes! Xx

FROM ALEX: I’ll try :P It sucks i can’t see you for 2 days. Don’t sleep with any men or ladies. Xx

TO ALEX: But there are so many fine looking men here tonight! :p xx

FROM ALEX: :(

TO ALEX: I’m joking, i only want you Sexy Lexy :) Anyways the 2 days will fly by since we will both be recovering from really bad hangovers. xx

FROM ALEX: have a great night baby <3 xx

TO ALEX: you too babe <3 xx

We arrived at this club where a room had been booked for my bachelorette party. All of my friends were already there, friends from both high school and college. I did the usual thing of saying hello and hugging everyone, thanking them for coming, put on my pretend veil before heading over to the bar to do some shots with Ana and Cass.

After quite a few we headed to the dance floor. We had danced around for about 20 minutes before we heard the beginning of ‘weightless’. We screamed and began to sing out loud and jump up and down. I remembered this is the song that was playing the first time i met Ana. She was singing and dancing around our kitchen in New York whilst making breakfast. I loved hearing Alex’s voice; it still made my tummy do flips.

“Can you believe you’re marrying that?” i shook my head to answer Ana’s question.

“I’m one lucky girl” I yelled over the music.

“I think he’s the lucky one” Cass replied.

Once the song had finished we retreated to a small booth for a breather and more drinks.

“Thanks for tonight you guys, it’s been great.” I hugged them both.

“Well it’s not over yet.” Cass smirked and nodded to the door where a police man was currently entering.

“Oh no you didn’t!” I buried my head in my hands.

“WE DID” They replied in unison and pulled me to the middle of the dance floor where a single chair was set up. People took picture of me in his hat, Cass handcuffed and him dancing. I couldn’t stop laughing.

I would remember this night for the rest of my life. Getting to see old friends, dancing, drinking and of course the hunk police man who was extremely hunky.
