15. Full stops and appropriate capital letters
Make sure you have plenty of full stops and appropriate capital letters. Don't make your sentences run on forever with conjunctions and commas, just end the sentence and start up again. No one wants to read a paragraph with sixteen thousand 'and then' or 'after that' in it. Avoid too many short sentences. Like this. It gets annoying. The stopping and starting. It disturbs a story pace.
