Chapter 1
Julian Alcroft looked out the train carriage window as it sped along the track towards a country station “Hey! Julian! Come on or we’re going to be late “ called Julian’s little sister, Scarlett ..Edward Hall looked at his younger sister
Heather. Edward was 13, Julian was 12 , Heather was 11 and Scarlett was 10. The Hall’s and the Alcroft’s had arrived in the country because World War II had started . Only the children had been evacuated to the country these children in particular had been taken to a station which served a vast country area owned by a man called Professor Amsterdam ; on with the story Julian got out of the train first then Scarlett , then Edward, and finally Heather. Julian thought Professor Amsterdam looked a bit like the old man from Harry Potter series and Julian didn’t even like Harry Potter! “Go and wash your hands all of you they are filthy!” Professor Amsterdam shouted he looked at them then retired to an armchair in the what looked like a Tudor kitchen . The children washed their hands .
