Sophie was a loner at school but there was one boy that she knew she would always call her best friend; Jake.

They'd been through so much together and she thought they could tell eachother anything, until the night that she found out that Jake had a deathly secret. Would this secret destroy their friendship or simply make it stronger?

You should never give up hope on your best friend, should you?

This story starts at present day looking back retrospectively in to the characters past life at school and onwards. Sophie is 28 at present. Everything written in bold italics is present day (well January 2008, that is). Everything in standard type print is past tense, written in the P.O.V's of each character.
