Understanding What We Have Grown to Be
Chapter 1
I grew up in Michigan with my six best friends who played in a band local band called We Came As Romans most people in our school thought they were weird cuz they played screamo music and they always hung out with other and me, Cassie, I was one of the bands best friends and always went to their practices in Dave's parents house. Dave's' parents supported him in whatever he did; He was the oldest and wisest in the band and always shared his knowledge with me. Then there was Lou my best friend in the whole band because I also knew him the longest and if he wasn't with the band he was with me playing video games and writing lyrics and asked me if they were good enough to be on a CD. Ever since I met Kyle the lead singer I found him very attracted but I don't think he would ever go out with me cuz Joshua was like my brother very overprotected of me and if he ever found out about my crush he would kill Kyle and then not let me come another practice again. One day at school I was at my locker when kyle came up to me and leaned on my locker and started
"Hey you coming to practice tonight?"
"Kyle when aren't I at the practices?"
"Haha never actually, Your the only one who really supports or band and I'm grateful for that"
"Kyle you guys are like brothers to me and I love you guys and your music"
he gave me a big hug and went on to class thats when Lou saw me and put his arm around and asked,
"What was that all about?"
"For some reason Kyle just told me that he is grateful that I'm always there for you guys"
"He likes you!"
"No he doesn't!"
I pushed him and walked into class and sat right by Lou and didn't really pay attention to the teacher I almost fell asleep when the bell rang for the school to be over and I met the rest of the band outside with Lou on my shoulder and a smile on my face. We met up with the ret of the band shortly after and walked home together the way we always took while the others went to go act like kids Kyle stayed behind with me talked to me and when he said
"I like you a lot" I stood frozen and then looked at Josh to make sure he wasn't looking at us. I hurried and caught up with Lou and totally ignored Kyle. Was that the right thing to do?
