Understanding What We Have Grown to Be

I texted Lou to see if he had the slightest idea where Kyle and I would be going on our date that night
"Do have any idea where kyle is taking me?"
"Yeah I have an idea" Lou replied.
"Tell me please"
"I promised him I wouldn't"
"Then come over and help me"
"Ok I'll be over in 5 mins"
I sat on my bed staring at my closet at the different colors and combinations I could come up with for my date tonight. I heard the door flew open and in strolled Lou
"I'm not saying a word. I'm just here to nod" He stared.
"Ok that will help me out a lot" I assured.
"Your such a girl"
"I know. thank you for pointing that out!" I playfully hit him.
I went into my closet and put on a long purple cocktail dress and a pair of silver high heels
"That is very beautiful but no"
"I thought you were just nodding"
"I am but you look...um.....beautiful"
"Aw thank you Lou"
I went back into my closet and put on a mini skirt with a sequiny shirt and walked out. Lou shook his head no
"You think kyle would like to be out with you while your wearing that?"
"What are you trying to say?" I asked.
"I mean Kyle wouldn't want any other guys staring at you in a mini skirt"
"Good point. Back to the closet!"
I picked out a pair of cargo capris and a Saosin shirt and came out once again
"I love the pants but pick a new shirt" Lou said.
"I had a feeling you would say that" I replied "I have no idea what shirt to wear"
I went back into my closet again and found a black wife beater and strolled out where Lou was and got a thumbs up and a clap while I took a bow and sat on the bed right by Lou while he put his arm on my shoulder
"I think Andy likes you" He said.
"I highly doubt that" I replied.
"Why do you say that?"
"Cuz i'm dating kyle"
"So what does that matter? A guy has a crush on you"
"It's not proven and why would my best friend love me?"
"Cuz your beautiful and my best friend"
"Thank you Lou your such a great friend"
"I try. Your my best friend and I just want to see you happy"
"Lou I couldn't be happier. I have a wonderful boyfriend and six best friends that I'm going on tour with"
"Were not going on tour anytime soon"
"Lou you play in an amazing band with powerful lyrics you guys are going to get big and tour the world and I will be right there by your guys side through the rough times and good times"
"I don't want to put you under that pressure"
"You don't have to, It's gunna happen"
I laid my head on Lou's shoulder and closed my eyes and kicked him out to put my makeup on at the vanity in the corner of my room. I grabbed my makeup bag and started with Netrugena concealer and put it on small pimples on different areas on my face and rubbed it in. I then grabbed my Cover-girl powder and lightly dabbed it on different places on my face and then rubbed it all in evenly. I took out my Cover-girl mascara with a curled brush and put it on my eyelashes that didn't naturally curl so I had to be careful not to stab my eye, the finishing touches was my eyeliner that I put an even layer on under each of my eyes. I got a text from Kyle that read
"hey beautiful. You almost ready?"
"Ready when you are" I replied.
I then heard a knock at the downstairs door and heard my mom say hello and a hello from the other person and recognized it as kyle and ran downstairs and into my boyfriends arms and kissed on the lips
"Who is this?" My mom asked.
"Oh sorry mom this Kyle, Kyle this is my mom" I said.
"He is never over here"
"No he's not. Kyle and I have a date tonight so I probably won't be back til late"
"Ok sweetie have fun. Call me" We started to walk out the door "Don't do anything I wouldn't do" my mom yelled.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"I'm still not telling you. First my mom is taking us to our destination" He replied.
"Kyle thank you for this. I need to get out"
"Thank you"
We held hands to his house and walked inside and he yelled to his mom "I'm here and ready to go' and his mom replied 'I'm coming'
"Hello Cassie" she said.
"Hello Mrs. Pavone" I replied.
"You look very pretty"
"Thank you"
"So are you guys ready?"
"Yes" Kyle and I said in unison still holding hands.
We both climbed into the back of her Buick Rendezvous and held hands all the way to the pier on Michigan lake which had a amusement park on it and I let out a little squeal when I saw it because Kyle knew I was a sucker for thrill rides and food. We said our goodbyes to his mom and got out of the car I dragged Kyle to the ticket booth got ten tickets each and ran to the first ride I saw
"Baby slow down we have all night" He said.
"I'm sorry I'm just so excited. This is going to be an awesome night I can already tell" I kissed him on the lips and wrapped my arms around his neck. He rode almost every ride in the park and got two corn dogs one for him and one for me, I was way to hungry to share. When we were done we decided to walk around the park a little bit and found a bench and just people watched and I got a text from Josh
"How is your date going?"
"Best night of my night" I replied.
"I'm glad your having a great time"
"Thank you. I'll talk to you later"
I looked up at Kyle who was staring at me with his big brown eyes and reached my head up to his and lips passionately on the lips
"Wanna get out of here?" he asked.
"Yeah I wanna go to the beach" I replied.
"I think it's closed"
"Damn! Where are we going to go?"
"My place? Your place?"
"I got a pool"
"What does that mean?"
"I wanna go swimming!"
"You wanna go back to my place?"
"yeah I'm kinda tired. Maybe i can sleep at your place?"
"Of course you can"
He called up his mom while I called mine and asked to stay over night at Kyle's house which she said yes. Kyle asked his mom to come and get us and when she got there we again climbed into the back of her car and I almost fell asleep on Kyle's shoulder until I was woken up by her brake in the garage. We climbed out and Kyle escorted me up to his room where he threw me a pair of his basketball shorts and a t shirt and I went to the bathroom to wipe my makeup off and change and when I got back into the room Kyle was shirtless and I could see his new side tattoo. He was also wearing a pair of basketball shorts I crawled in by him and turned to my side while he was on his back texting and finally put it down on the table and turned towards me and put his arm over me and whispered in my ear 'I love you' and I fell asleep.
