The New Girl
Everything looked more than clear.
"Morning beautiful." John said as he created circles on my shirtless back with the tips of his fingers. I opened my eyes fully and looked up at John. He smiled down at me as I smiled back at him.
"Morning." I said, my voice sounding groggy. John smiled at me again before shuffling about. "What are you doing?" I asked as my head rested on his chest.
"I was going to go make breakfast, but you're being all lazy and laying on me." He said with a chuckle. As John mentioned breakfast I immediately pulled myself away from him before pushing him out of the bed.
"Go get food!" I ordered loudly as I rolled around in the sheets, covering me up. I heard John laughing as he left the room and headed downstairs.
I shut my eyes temporarily while the smell of breakfast drifted throughout the house and up to Johns room. I couldn't stay in John's bed anymore so I decided to get up and make myself decent. At least decent enough to go home and change.
I stood up from John's bed using the sheets to cover me as I walked around the room picking up my clothes. I quickly put on my underwear before seeing one of John's white t-shirts laying on the ground. I couldn't help myself so I put it on before I left his room.
I hopped down the stairs and lightly strode towards the kitchen where John was standing over the hob, with only a pair of tracksuit bottoms on. He turned to me and smiled before he looked over to the corner of the room and frowned.
I stepped in cautiously to find John's younger brother Shane and his friends in the room. My cheeks skipped turning pink and went straight to red. I pulled John's shirt down so it would cover me a little more as I walked over to him.
"I thought it was just you and me?!" I hissed as I joined his side, making sure I didn't let go of the hem of the shirt.
"He came home early! What do you want me to do about it?!" He whispered to me frantically. I sighed before I pulled myself up onto the counter, crossing my legs so the hormonal teens couldn't see anything. "Did you have fun last night then Shane?" John asked, making small talk.
"It was alright." Shane informed him from the other side of the room. I watched the group of boys intently as they all whispered among each other. They laughed quietly before telling Shane something, a devious smile soon appeared on his face. "Did you have fun last night?" He asked, holding back his laughter.
My cheeks flushed as all the boys looked at John and me. I shuffled about on the cold, uncomfortable side, embarrassed. Shane and his friends were obviously going to tell others about his brothers weekend.
"Are you asking to get punched?" John asked aggressively. Shane ignored his comment and laughed with his friends. "Shut up Shane." John hissed, turning away from the hob. Shane's friends continues to laugh while Shane kept a straight face.
John threatened Shane and his friends a few times but they continued to ignore him. I sighed and hopped down from the counter. I made my way up to John's room where I found my dress from last night and rested it over my arm as I searched for my shoes.
"Oh, C'mon Katie. Don't go!" John said as he entered his bedroom. I looked over at him with a blank expression.
"I have to go get ready." I informed him. "I'll be back after." I said with a reassuring smile.
"You'd better be." He said playfully with a small smile as he clasped his arms around my waist. I giggled before John pressed his lips to mine.
"Didn't you do enough of that last night?" Shane asked, stifling a laugh as he stood in the doorway.
"Fuck you Shane." I said looking around John. Shane scowled at me before walking away. John chuckled and kissed me once again.
"Do you still want to go?" He asked with a smirk.
"I guess I can stay a little longer." I said with a grin. John smiled widely and took my hand as we walked down the stairs and back into the kitchen.

"WALK OF SHAME!!!" Garrett and Halvo shouted at me from my living room as I began walking up the stairs. I'd been at John's all day so I hadn't got the chance to shower and change.
"What are you assholes doing in my house?" I asked with a playful smile as I stepped down from the stairs and walked into the living room. I was greeted by Kenny, Jared, Pat and Jess. "What happened to fat night?" I asked Jess as I rested a hand on my hip.
"Oh that's still on!" She told me. "I just didn't want to be alone today while you and John did your business." She said wiggling her eyebrows. I blushed hoping for the topic to change.
"So.." Halvo began with a cheeky grin. "How is old JohnO in bed?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows. I blushed even more.
"Why do you want to know that?" Jess asked, knowing I was too embarrassed to answer. "You got a thing for John eh?" She asked Halvo with a grin.
"Oh you know it. I just wanted to compare notes." He said wiggling his eyebrows at me. Jess and I burst into laughter while Kenny, Garrett, Pat and Jared stared at Halvo like he was insane.
"I'm just gonna go get ready." I informed Jess.
"Wait!" She shouted as I turned to walk away. I turned back to face her. "Are you going for a shower?" She asked, I nodded warily. "I need a wee, wait a minute." She said as she rushed past me. I giggled and sat on the edge of the couch where Kenny was sat.
"Not trying to sound like Halvo..." Kenny began. "But how was your night?" He asked with a friendly smile. I blushed slightly, but not as much as I did when Halvo asked.
"It was nice." I said with a slight smile. I looked around the room to see all the guys smiling at each other. I sighed. "John cooked us dinner, we watched a film, played some COD, ate some junk food and went to bed." I informed them openly.
"AWWWWWWWW." Jess screeched, re-entering the living room. I sighed with a giggle before I began to make my way upstairs. I had a quick shower and threw my clothes from last night in the wash basket.
I changed into a pair of shorts and a sleeveless shirt. The weather was rather warm, even at six in the evening. I blow dried my hair and tried to tame it before I applied some make up. I wore some high heeled boots and place the necklace John gave me for my birthday on.
I hurried down the stairs to find all of the boys and Jess had shifted into the hallway. I grabbed the car keys from the hook as I hopped off the last step. I stared at everyone who stood without saying a word.
"Is there something you guys want?" I asked as I checked I had my phone and some money.
"Can we join your fat night?" Halvo asked boldly. Jared nudged his side.
"What he meant was; would it be alright if we joined you and Jess tonight?" Jared asked politely. I smiled.
"Did Jess say it was alright?" I asked looking over at her, she nodded with a smile. "Okay then." I said with a smile. "Do you guys want to stay here while Jess and I get the shitty foods? You guys can set up beds and stuff." I said with a smile.
"Can I stay here?" Jess asked with a pleading smile. My smile faltered a little, I reluctantly nodded and made my way out the door whilst Jess and the boys started setting up the living room for the fat night.
I didn't want to go to the supermarket alone, first of all because I didn't want to look fat carrying a load of junk food and secondly because I didn't really know where it was. I'd been in Tempe for just over a year and I still didn't know where the local supermarket was.
I quickly walked over the road and up to Johns. I knocked on the door lightly and waited for someone to answer. Shane answered the door, obviously still a little pissed at me from today he shouted for John instead of saying anything to me.
John rushed down the stairs and smiled crookedly at me as he held onto the front door. I smiled at him innocently and waved my keys around.
"I'm popping to the supermarket to get some junk food for Jess, the guys and myself. Wanna come?" I asked with a grin. "You're invited too." I added with a shy smile.
"You don't know where the supermarket is, do you?" He asked with a chuckle at the end of his question. I shook my head with a laugh. "Let me get a jacket." He said with a smile, I nodded. John soon returned to the door stuffing his arms into a leather biker jacket.
He pulled a pair of keys out of his jacket pocket and started walking towards his garage. I stared at him oddly while I watched what he was doing. He opened the garage door and stepped inside. I stood on the path that lead up to his house, still waiting to see what he was doing.
A white pick-up truck started to reverse out of the small garage and onto the driveway. "Get in then!" John said loudly through the opened window. I sighed with a laugh and opened the door. I slid into the truck with a smile, it smelt like different air fresheners mixed together and the sound of Tom Petty echoed through the small vehicle.
John pulled away from his house singing along to Tom Petty with a smile plastered on his face. I hummed along to the music earning a few looks from John as he tried to keep his eyes on the road. John pulled up at the local supermarket and rushed round to open my door for me. I thanked him as I stepped out, careful not to fall over.
"I didn't know you like Tom Petty." John said as he grabbed a trolley -Shopping cart- and began to push it into the shop.
"Yeah! He's amazing!" I said loudly waving my arms about to express how obvious it was. John chuckled and looked at me.
"Do you ever take that off?" He asked referring to my necklace. I giggled.
"I like it." I said with a smile. "OOOH! Doritos!" I said loudly as I spotted Doritos on a shelf. John laughed at me as I chucked them in the trolley. "Don't laugh at me!" I said pouting playfully. He laughed again and leaned over to me before giving me a quick kiss. We held hands around the shop and cracked jokes the whole time.
Moving to Tempe really was the best move my dad had made.
"Morning." I said, my voice sounding groggy. John smiled at me again before shuffling about. "What are you doing?" I asked as my head rested on his chest.
