The Game

Hair Dye

She stood and went to gather her books and the video games he'd brought her that she never played.

This was all she had here.

“I need to pack. Be ready by one o'clock. I will be coming to get you.”

She nodded and he approached her, feeling the need to touch her.

Mikey cupped her cheek and slanted his mouth over hers, shoving his tongue into her mouth.

Monica went along and let him have the dominance of the kiss, holding back a shutter.

“Well done darling.” He gave her a tight lipped smile before leaving the room, locking the door behind himself.
“Mom's got to be worried sick.” She said to herself, wishing she was a way to tell her mom she was at the least, alive. Leaving out the fact that her best friend kidnapped her, tortured her, raped her and got her pregnant.

Monica looked up at the clock on the wall and sat on her cot, one wasn't until a few hours yet.

Maybe she'll check out that gameboy.

She got lost in Mario Brothers and jumped when the door unlocked and Mikey came in. “Time to go.”

She turned off the game and stood, grabbing her things.

Mikey walked up to her and grabbed her wrist, locking a shackle on a chain around it. “Just in case darling.”

She nodded and followed him out of the room, and onto the game field where he grabbed a few things off the counter and pocketed them. She realized all the 'toys' were gone.

Monica shuttered as he took her up the stairs and out of the building.

He took her to his car, holding the chain like a leash. She got in and he got in the drivers seat.

They peeled out, down the hill to the road.

Mikey took only back roads as he drove to the nearest dollar store.

“Your coming in with me, and if you try to get away or talk to anyone, I swear I'll kill you and everyone in there.” He said threateningly.

He reached in the waist band of his jeans and showed her a gun. She gasped when she saw it, and nodded in defeat.

He unlocked her cuff and stashed the chain in the glove compartment.

He got out and went to her door, opening it and letting her out. He pulled a hoodie out of a bag and tossed it to her. “Put it on, hood up.” he ordered.

She did as he said, feeling the hoodie swallow her.

“Perfect darling.” He smiled, taking her hand and lacing their fingers after shutting the door and locking it.

They went inside the store and Mikey steered them to the hair dye section. “You are beautiful, but someone might recognize you.” He said quietly, looking over the boxes.

He picked out an auburn brown and held it up to strand of bleach blonde hair that poked out. “Yes, that'll do.” He said, pleased with himself. He led her to the colored contacts isle.
First he grabbed brown, but decided that'd be too plain. He grabbed some green ones and nodded. He grabbed dark brown hair dye and prescription contacts that were supposed to fix vision over time.

He took her to the register and paid with cash so they couldn't be tracked. Mikey grabbed the bag and took the silent girl back out to the car.

They got in and he locked the door, then began to drive. He drove for four hours, when they stopped at McDonalds. They ate in the car and he pulled up to a slightly run down motel.

“We're only staying one night here. Don't worry.”

She nodded, and watched him get out of the car and open her door, he grabbed the shackle.

She got out and let him lace their fingers as they went in. There was a man asleep at the front desk, Mikey knew there were no cameras and slipped behind the counter, getting a room key and taking the money from the man's wallet.

He took Monica to the room. “I got us the honeymoon room.” He beamed.

She forced a smile, and he unlocked the door.

Turns out the honeymoon room had a king size mattress and a red carpet. That's it.

Mikey shrugged and closed the door, hearing it lock closed.

He took out the red brown dye and handed it to Monica. He then pointed to the bathroom. She nodded and slowly went into the bathroom, opening the box and reading the directions.

40 Minuets later her hair was an auburn brown. She combed it with her fingers and went out to see Mikey.

He nodded. “Stay there.” He went into the bathroom and came back with scissors.

She flinched as he approached her. “It's okay darling, you just need a hair cut.”

Monica sat still as he snipped away. At last, he put the scissors back and held up a mirror for her. She couldn't help but grin at his work.

“You like it.” He stated happily.

“Yeah, it's great.” she smiled at him.

He beamed and took another box of dye out. He cuffed her wrist to the bed frame and went to the bathroom with the box.

Monica toyed with her new hair and let her mind go blank.

45 minuets later, Mikey came out.

She was shocked back into reality. “M-mikey?”

He nodded.

Before he was cute in the nerd sense, but now...

Monica knew she'd never like him how he wanted her to, but this made acting it easier.

“Wow.”

He smiled and went over to her, cupping her jaw and kissing her softly. This is the Mikey who was her best friend, the gentle one who wouldn't dream of hurting her. It was times when he was like this, that she thought maybe...just maybe...she could love him how he wants her too.

But not yet.

She smiled into the kiss and her stomach flipped. And flipped. Then twisted.

Realizing what was happening she shoved Mikey away and dived for the garbage can, vomiting into it. She spit a few times and wiped her mouth.

“I'm sorry Mikey.” She said, expecting to be kicked.

“Darling your pregnant, I understand. I thought it was morning sickness though.”

She giggled a bit “Normally it is but maybe our baby's different.”

He beamed when she called it 'our baby'.

“Maybe it is.” He agreed, still smiling.

A bit short yeah? What do you think? Is Monica falling for Mikey or just the half who's kind and gentle? Or not at all YET.

I know nothing about pregnancy, so I'm using google. I could be wrong. (Shrug)
