Next Day

Zacky’s pov
When me and Gena woke up it was 9 am. We went down stairs quietly to see if anybody was up. Both Johnny and Seth were still in the same position as last night sleeping, but Seth’s facial expression was pained as if he was seeing something bad. “It looks like he is having a bad dream.” Whispered Gena, I nodded silently and followed her back into the kitchen. “I'm going to make some breakfast, what do you feel like?” asked Gena. I shrugged, “Anything you make is fine with me.” I said and smiled at her. “I think I'm going to make a big breakfast for Johnny and Seth.” She said and started getting everything together while we talked.
About half an hour later both Johnny and Seth came into the kitchen. Johnny was half asleep still, but Seth looked wide awake. Seth stayed behind Johnny as he came into the room and greeted us. We all sat down at the table and started to eat. “So, Seth,” Gena said, “How old are you?”
“16” he replied Gena nodded and smiled,
“Do you have a girlfriend?” she asked and Johnny and I laughed, it was a typical Gena question. She shushed us and motioned for him to answer. “Um, yeah, I do” Seth said. I was shocked. I mean, he wasn’t bad looking by any means, but he acted so shy, but then I remembered how he was when he thought it was just Johnny. “Oooh, what’s her name?” squealed Gena excitedly. Seth grinned brightly which I think kind of shocked both Gena and I, “her names Nicolette but everyone calls her Nic.” He answered proudly. You just tell by looking at him that he was in love with this girl, even if they were only 16. Johnny chuckled and Gena turned to him, “Do you know her?” she asked Johnny nodded. “I’ve met her a couple of times.” Gena smiled. “So what do you like to do Seth?” Seth just shrugged and went back inside his shell. Gena looked disappointed so Johnny spoke up, “he likes to skateboard everywhere, he’s in a band too, he plays the drums and sings sometime too, they actually just recently got signed.” Gena smiled, “that must be fun, you must be really good to have gotten signed so young.” Seth just nodded, but I noticed him send a sly smirk to Johnny which made Johnny grin in response. “Only two of them are 16 the other three are over 18.” Jonny said
“Is that why you have all those drummer magnets?” I asked Johnny thinking back to yesterday. Johnny nodded and I saw them grin at each other again. “I wanted to take them down, but neither Kris nor Seth would let me, what was it you said Seth? ‘Don’t be jealous of the truth’” Zacky said. I laughed. “Seth’s a really good drummer though, we were talking earlier that his band might get a chance to go on tour opening for some big band, I'm really proud of him.” Johnny said smiling at Seth in an older brotherly way. I shared a look with Gena and I knew we were both thinking about last night when we said that Johnny acted more grown up with Seth. “That’s really awesome I’d love to hear you play sometime.” I said, and Seth just barely nodded, not making eye contact with me. Johnny said, “It’s okay Zack’s a good guy.” To Seth, which I don’t think I was supposed to hear. Seth nodded back. “I actually have built from scars’ demo upstairs, if you really want to listen to it.” Johnny said in reply to my previous comment. “Yeah, that would be awesome, nice name by the way.” I said interested to see if they were any good. “I'll give it to you before you leave.” Johnny said. “Hey Seth” Gena said, “how bout we go check on your arm?” they both got up and left the room. “So,” I started, “how long have you known Seth?” I asked Johnny,
“Around three years I think.”
“How come none of the guys have met him before?” I asked curious, Johnny raised an eyebrow at me. “Are you serious, you saw his reaction to you, hell It was a week after I met him before he even talked to me, this week been the first time I’ve even seen him without Kris around, can you imagine introducing him to the likes of Brian and Matt?” he asked and I kind of saw his point. “So why is he like that anyway?” I asked, but Johnny just shook his head, “that’s his story to tell, man, not mine”
I nodded in understanding of what my friend meant, “So do you want to hang out today? All four of us?” Johnny shrugged, “do we have to go to the studio?” he asked. “Naw, today’s Saturday remember?” I stood up bringing mine and Gena’s dished to the sink while Johnny did the same with his and Seth’s. “Yeah, sure, it might be a good idea for Seth to get used to you, once you get to know him he is an awesome guy, kind of like jimmy if you believe it or not.” Johnny said. “Yeah, I believe it, remember yesterday before he knew I was here?” Johnny laughed, “Yeah, that’s Seth, do you know how he broke into my house, you didn’t leave the door open did you?” I shook my head. “Hey Zack, Can you do me a favor?” Johnny asked, “Sure, what do you need?” I asked. “could you not tell the guys about Seth, I mean, I know you don’t know much about him, but don’t tell them some bloody kid showed up at my house while you were here will you?” I nodded. “Of course man, I get you want to protect Seth.” Johnny nodded, “Yeah, I love the guy, he’s like the little brother I never had, I don’t want the guys coming over and freaking him out y’know?” he explained, I nodded in understanding again, the guys could be a pretty scary group.
