Why should we discharge you?
I pause, the pen midair, and stare down at the paper. What should I put for this one. I’m not really sure there’s an answer for this one, to be quite honest. Should I even be discharged? Am I strong enough? I haven’t been outside these walls in exactly three and a half years, and now comes the time to determine whether I should even be allowed out.
I’m not psycho. I refuse to say I’m psycho. I have psychological problems. That doesn’t always mean you’re psycho. I’m telling you.
Macy Ryan is 17 years old. Ever since her breakdown three and a half years ago, she's been stuck in the Meadow's, and institution just outside NYC, on the countryside. It's not that no one gets her, it's that she doesn't let people get her.
