Don't Touch Me.
I tugged at my sleeve with a grunt, covering back up the purpley bruises quickly and hoping Amanda would just forget.
The bird caught my gaze and I shuddered, watching intently, then I looked over at Amanda as she quickly moved her hair.
"You.. Alright, there?" I asked, eyebrow raised.
My own hair was caught in the wind and blew over my white face, as I threw my applecore onto the grass. Then my attention was back on Amanda.
"Why are you being so nice to me? I mean.. Nobody actually talks to me or pays me any attention. No.. Wait, they do."
I sighed, and bit the inside of my lip until it bled a little bit.
"They pay me attention when I'm bullied."
My head bowed, but I held in tears as best I could. My eyes stung a little bit.
"Just.. You better go, before someone sees us."
I grabbed my bag, pulling it over my shoulder, struggling to my feet as I heard the bell. The jocks would come up from the football field soon and see me and Amanda.
Waving, I turned and smiled back at her.
"Bye.. I'll see you in English."
Just as I saw the face of the jocks, I broke into a run and sped up into the building.
