“You are beautiful,” she whispered in his ear.

‘No, I’m not,’ he replied in his head. He didn’t have the courage to say it out loud. She’s been helping him for so long, he didn’t want to push her away any further.

“Yes, you are,” she kissed his cheek. She always knew what he was thinking. She’s been there. She’s been in the same place as him, and that’s why she wanted him to get better, so badly. She didn’t want him to suffer as much as she had to.

Her skinny hands trailed down the back of his bare torso. His bones were sticking out, the blond hairs were standing up by her cold touch. He was so beautiful.

He buried his face into his hands and silent sobs were leaving his body. She wrapped them both in a blanket and tried to keep him warm. He had to confront himself. He had to get better, as soon as possible.

She didn’t want him to suffer any more. He was so much more than that. He was so beautiful.
