That Should Be Me

"Ellllie!" I sang, "Let's go!"

"Alright, alright!" She laughed.

I closed the door behind her, and she smiled, "What number are we doing today?"

"Usually, we'd both pick our own, but this one..I want it to be a surprise, so I picked your number too."

She beamed, "I know a whole lot about you, but what goes on in your head is still a mystery. I'd love to be able to hear what you're thinking at any given moment. You're fascinating."

I blushed, "I'm nothing special, just another person with normal thoughts."

"That's what all the fascinating people say." She laughed.

I shook my head, "Believe me, I'd love to get inside your head too."

"You're just saying that."

"No I'm not, you intrigue me. Honestly."

"Why?"

"I'd need a lot of time to explain that. Maybe another time, for now.." I pulled over and she looked at me completely confused.

" I told you, it's a surprise." I laughed, and grabbed the blindfold.

She sighed, "Should have saw that one coming."

I grinned, and she moved her hair and turned, prompting me to tie it.

"No arguing?" I asked, amused at her.

"No, it gets me no where with you, somehow you always seem to get your way regardless. And besides, it's always worth it."

I grinned, "I'm surprised, you're finally understanding."

She laughed, "Would you rather me argue, Bieber?"

"I'm not sure. Are you sure you're feeling well?"

"Oh shush! How much longer?"

"There's my Ellie." I laughed.

She giggled, "You aren't going to tell me, are you?"

"Nope."

"Didn't think so."



"Don't move, we're here."

I got her out, and led her inside the building. I set this up, to where nothing would give it away.

Ellie's favorite pet animal, is a cat. So that's what we were getting.

Cats aren't my favorite animals..they kind of scare me, but anything for Ellie.

I took her into the cat section of the adoption place, and I saw Ellie's face scrunch up in confusion.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

"Yes."

I took off the blindfold, whispering in her ear. "Number eight on both of our lists: Adopt a pet. Yours? Get a pet, name her Noodle."

She gasped, "Justin, this is incredible."

"Go pick which one you want." 

"It's on your list too, you have to help."

I sighed defeated, "Okay, come on."

She laughed, and we walked into the room.

All of the cats stared at us. Some meowed.

I'm sure my face was priceless, considering Ellie got a picture.

"Hey!"

She laughed, "It's a memorable moment, come on! Lighten up, sit down and help me decide who our Noodle is going to be."

I agreed, but only because she said 'our Noodle'.

I'd do anything for this girl. Even adopt a cat.

"Are they all girls?" She asked.

"Yes, I made sure they only put the girls in here."

She smiled, "Here kitty, kitty, kitty!"

All of them stared, and one brave one started inching its way towards us.

Ellie was loving every second of this, she was studying each one of them carefully.

I almost screamed when I felt something crawling on me.

I looked down, to see a little white cat, making herself comfortable on my lap.

"Awwwe! That is too cute!" She snapped a picture. 

I let out a shaky breath, and let my instincts take over. I pet the cat lightly, and it started purring.

"That's the one. We didn't pick her, she picked you."

I laughed, "Hello, Noodle."

She looked up at me, licked her lips and meowed.

We went to the pet store, and had more fun than we should have. We bought the cat so many unnecessary things, but who cares?

I was happy, Ellie was happy, it was all worth it.

We got home, exhausted.

"Welcome home, Noodle." She smiled, setting the place up for her. She showed Noodle where the food would be, where the litter box would be, and she showed her, her and my room.

I was laying down, when I heard a quiet knock.

"Come in."

"Hey, I just really wanted to thank you for today-for everything. You didn't have to do this, and you just did. Also, I know how much you don't like cats, and you shoved that away because I love them. You're my best friend."

I laughed, and jumped when Noodle jumped on my bed and laid on my lap.

"She really likes you." Ellie smiled with awe.

"She isn't so bad, and anytime Ellie. You're my absolute best friend. You deserve it."

"Night, Jay. Love you." She smiled.

"Night, Ell. Love you too."

If you only knew how true that was.

4. Go in a hot air balloon.
5. Watch the sunset, while relaxing.
6. Dress up in a poor disguise, and walk around the city.
7. Dress up in a good disguise, and walk around the city.
8. Adopt a pet.
9. Break up with Selena.
10. Go to Times Square for the new year.
11. Get drunk, watching stupid movies.
12. Go on a pointless road trip, to a different state.
13. Buy 3,000 dollars worth of clothes and donate them to people in need.
14. Swim with dolphins.
15. Give my number to a fan, without them knowing.

3. Get kissed under a mistletoe.
4. Paint a room without thinking about the design.
5. Play in a McDonald's play area again.
6. Learn how to play the guitar.
7. Fall in actual love.
8. Get a pet, name her Noodle.
9. Pet a giraffe.
10. Go to a ball.
11. Have a super romantic date.
12. Break up with Nick..
13. Get the guy who gives me butterflies to break up with his girlfriend and date me.
14. Kiss a celebrity in front of his fans. That'll show how much he cares about me.
15. Get a new look.
