All Eight Guardians

Black & White

Karri's POV

The room had a beautiful black and white theme. The floor was black marble with little wisps of white in it, two of the three canopy beds were dressed with black sheets, blankets, pillows, and even a giant black comforter while the last bed was all white. There were three large windows, but there weren't any glass panels in the windows, and two of them had white curtains around them while the third had black. The bathroom was huge, having the same theme as the bedroom and had a large black marble sink and a huge white marble bathtub and of course a toilet and a giant mirror. The only thing is was missing was a shower. I wonder if they even existed in this universe?

"Wow, this place is beautiful." I whispered, but then I quickly turned around, "Are you sure you brought us to the right rooms?" I questioned.

I found Roman leaning against the door frame with a huge smirk on his face, "Don't tell me you were expecting to be put up at the stable?"

"Well, no." I said before I paused and glanced around the room.

Roman pulled himself off of the door frame and walked toward me, "What is it?" he questioned.

"My entire house could fit in this one room." I said as I took a deep breath and let it out in a long sigh.

I noticed Roman couldn't help but smile and I'm sure he was trying to keep in a laugh. "So I'm guessing you're not used to the high life?" he questioned.

I shook my head, "Afraid not."

At that moment, Nick walked into the room and pounced up onto the white bed, claiming it as his own. He stretched and yawned before he lied down, setting him muzzle in between his front paws and shut his eyes.

"Although Nicky seems to be settling in nicely." I added.

Roman nodded in agreeance, "I can see that."

I watched as Nick sighed and I couldn't help but sigh as well.

"What's wrong?" Roman questioned.

"I can't stop thinking about how his transformation is my fault." I replied.

"How?" Roman asked.

"That evil magician was aiming at me and Nick jumped into the line of fire...Er, magic?"

"Either works." Roman said as he shrugged. "But it's not your fault and Nick doesn't think so either."

"How can you tell?" I asked.

The smile reappeared on Roman's face, "Because he's practically been glued to your side since I met you at the kingdom's gates. If he was really upset with you, which I doubt, he wouldn't be with you. He wouldn't be with you right now in this very room. So trust me when I say he doesn't think it's your fault."

I couldn't help but smile a bit. This was a side of Roman I hadn't seen yet and I think I was starting to like this side of him.

We were interrupted by someone knocking on the door and I looked up to see Knight standing in the doorway. When he noticed he had our attention he stepped into the suite and cleared his throat. "Karri, it's up to you. Who would you rather have rooming with you?" he questioned.

I noticed as both guys stood at attention, trying to look their best so I would choose them.

"Well, the King told Sky to room with Annabelle, so he's out of the question." I started.

I watched as both guys' shoulders slumped and I held in a giggle.

"Being that Moose and Roman don't seem to clash so well and they have a bit of history, I think it's safest if they don't room together."

Roman pumped his fist into the air, being the first to realize I had basically said he was going to room with Nick and I.

Knight sighed and started to leave the suite, but paused at the doorway and turned back around with a smile on his face, "Karri, if you need me I'll only be in the room next door." he said.

Roman jumped on the bed closest to the door and chuckled, "She won't need you Knight, when she has me."

"Of course." Knight said quietly before he left.
