All Eight Guardians

Karri's POV

"John!" Annabelle called out, causing my head to snap to the door, "I've tried everything to calm Moose down but nothing's working. So you go help him because you know what to do!" she practically shouted at him.

John stood there for a moment, stunned, I think. Because of his quiet nature no one hardly ever talks to him and no one ever shouts at him. Eventually he nodded and walked down the hall.

Annabelle sighed a big dramatic sigh before she walked down the hall and Sky waved to me before he reluctantly followed after her.

I couldn't help but silently giggle, "Wow. They were really quiet. I forgot they were even here." I said quietly.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Knight questioned.

I nodded in conformation before I turned to Roman and said, "Thank you."

"It's my job to protect you but even if it wasn't I still would have done it." Roman replied.

I smiled a small smile before my eyes couldn't help but search the room. "Where's Nick?" I questioned.

Roman shrugged his shoulders, "He took off a few hours ago."

I stood up, "Where did he go?" I questioned.

"Somewhere outside, I guess?" Roman replied.

"We have to find him." I said.

"Karri, I'm sure he'll be fine." Knight said calmly.

I raised an eyebrow, "Really?" I questioned, "How many wolves spotted in the Kingdom of Omega end up just fine?" I asked.

Both Roman and Knight glanced at each other before in unison they said, "Let's go."

"That's what I thought." I said as I ran out of the suite. Roman and Knight followed behind me.

As we were running down the hall, Sky came out of his suite and stopped us, "What's going on?" he questioned.

"Nick's gone!" I called as I kept running.

"So what? He'll come back!" Annabelle called back.

"If someone in the Kingdom thinks he's a threat they'll kill him." Sky explained.

That must have worked and Moose and John must have been listening because then I heard four more sets of feet following behind us.

Twenty minutes later we had searched every inch of the palace grounds and still hadn't found Nick.

I couldn't help but start thinking the worst, "What if something bad happened to him?" I questioned.

"How about we split up and search for him outside the palace walls?" Sky questioned.

I quickly nodded and everyone else agreed to it.

"Alright uhhm... Annabelle and John go with Roman, Moose go with Knight, and Karri, you come with me." Sky said, splitting us up in groups and making sure none of the groups were going to fight with who they were paired with.

Soon we were out the palace gates and split up.

Annabelle, John and Roman went uptown.

Moose and Knight went downtown.

And Sky and I went midtown.
