Kiyo Nakamoto

Eli: Hey, uh, Kiyomi, I don’t mean to kill the moment but remember when you stabbed Kaji in the chest and his heart came out?

Kiyomi: (Looks at Eli) Yeah, what about it?

Eli: Well I can still see his heart on the other side of the field and to me it looks like its still beating. Wow, even after Kaji died his heart still remains beating. He must be extremely healthy!

Jiro: Or maybe it means he’s still alive. (Draws sword) Only by stabbing his heart can we make sure he’s gone for good. Allow me to do the honors.

Sasha: Please conceal your blade, Jiro. I’m not sensing anything evil from within that heart. I’m sensing pure kindness. Its possible Kaji’s purity continues to live within that heart.

Eli: Oh yeah. After Kenji absorbed Kaji’s body, he did say that everything kind within him has been released from his body and sealed away. I guess he was talking about the heart.

Sasha: With the heart, we can maybe bring Kaji amongst the living again. But if we do that, he won’t have his abilities anymore.

Jiro: (Grins) Kaji is a master of many weapons so I’d like a rematch with him someday. I say bring him back.

Kiyomi: No. Kaji taught me a very valuable lesson: Once a person is gone, they should stay gone. Despite what we’ve just discovered, Kaji wouldn’t want us to bring him back. Kaji’s happy where he is, and we shouldn’t change that. Sasha, I trust you to take good care of his heart.

Sasha: Forgive me, but it is not my place. Kaji was your love; not mine. You take good care of his heart.

Kiyomi: During that nuclear explosion my idiot brother created, none of us have any supplies or money. I don’t have anything to hold the heart in.

Sasha: What if I seal away his positive energy from the heart inside of you?

Kiyomi: Can you really do that?

Sasha: No… I’m just storming (Chuckles).

Kiyomi: Maybe we should just leave it there.

(Joseph stands behind everyone still bleeding and badly injured.)

Joseph: I’ll take it.

(Everyone looks over at Joseph.)

Joseph: I’ll take good care of his heart… Please heal me… (Falls to the ground)

Sabrina: Joseph did try to kill Kiyo and Kelsey, but deep down, he’s a good person. I think you should heal him, Sasha, but if you feel you do not want to, I understand.

Sasha: I have no problem restoring his body to its original state.

Kiyomi: Alright, so now what we need to do is find the nearest town and get some supplies and start our adventure to the Dark Castle.

(Everything is white. Kiyo and Kaji stand together face-to face.)

Kaji: Kiyo… Now that I’m dead, my fate is written in stone. I am going to hell.

Kiyo: You are a good person, Kaji. I promise I won’t let you stay in hell. I will someday find you and bring you up to the land of the angels.

Kaji: Before my soul moves on, I must talk to you about what happened to your surrogate grandfather.

Kiyo: That’s right. The whole reason why I decided to start my journey was to find you and ask you about why you killed him and left his body hanging on a pole. I also journeyed here because in the note you left on his body it said that if I didn’t find my way to you, you would kill everyone in my village.

Kaji: Allow me to tell you the truth behind that, Kiyo… At the time when I killed your grandpa, I did it out of pure selfishness. The truth is I did kill him so that you would come to me, but I had to do it. I’ve been working for your sensei Rayna for awhile now, and Rayna has been working with Angelika, Phantom, and Osmodeus.

Kiyo: (Surprised) What?!

Kaji: Don’t think of Rayna as a bad person, Kiyo. Originally the plague I created with my energy spread and killed everyone in the world. I singlehandedly destroyed all life in this world. Osmodeus predicted this and Together, Rayna, Angel, and I worked together to manipulate the lives of you and your friends. We changed the future and planned everything out up to the moment you killed me. Killing your grandpa was a part of the plan to lure you here. Osmodeus killing Minglei was a part of the plan to lure Eli to Seigen town to meet you, and me telling Kiyomi to murder your entire village was a part of the plan as well. I knew Kiyomi would never kill those people, and by not following my orders, she knew I would send Aiko to assassinate her for that. Then she would decide to kill me in order to protect her own life. But she would not attempt to before finding you first and getting you to help fight me. Aiko was in fact sent to blind and kill Kiyomi, but I planned for that not to happen. I knew they couldn’t kill each other and I was planning for the two of them to get in an epic fight and injure each other. By them injuring each other, Kiyomi would be slowed down and Eli would eventually find her. Then once in Seigen Town, those two would find you, Kiyo. Next, the plan was to scare Aiko and make her think I wanted her dead, but Nissa her assassin leader, took over the situation and wanted to kill Aiko himself. Everything still worked out as planned cause in the end, Aiko joined your group. I had nothing to do with the recruitment of Jiro; that was all Angel’s doing. Once you 5 were together in one group, you were all supposed to fight me and in the end you would be the one to kill me, Kiyo. I’m sorry about your grandfather, but I needed to kill him so you would begin your quest to find me.

Kiyo: So everything my friends and I have been through was all planned…?

Kaji: Not everything, but most of it was.

Kiyo: I can’t believe this…

Kaji: But it is the truth, Kiyo. And in the end… we were able to change the future and free the world from the plague. Rayna only worked with the enemy to keep life safe and provide the world a future. Rayna is on the good side.

Kiyo: (Grins) Rayna’s always been sketchy. But what’s your excuse; What side are you on? Are you good or evil?

Kaji: I am who I am. I only care about making the world a place of peace, but I will not hesitate to do evil things to provide that peace; even if it means murdering the innocent. People with Cursed blood Kotoda powers I truly hate down to my core. Their power is destructive and I will not hesitate to kill each and every one of those wielding the power; even you, Kiyo…

Kiyo: (Smiles) Come on; I thought we were friends now that I moped the floor with you.

Kaji: (Smiles) We are… But as long as you fight for the good of mankind, I have no bad feelings toward you. Good luck, Kiyo. May your travels bring you to greater heights in life’s lessons.

Kiyo: I don’t know any fancy words of wisdom so I’m just gonna leave you with a bye!

Kaji: (Smiles) Goodbye. (Fades away)

(Kokoyashi Village)

(Kiyo wakes up and stretches on the floor of a small wooden room. He looks around the empty room that seems somewhat familiar to him. He removes his white cover then stands up to yawn and stretch again. Only his face is seen the entire time. He opens the sliding door and sees his fake grandmother Mei eating a bowl of rice and eggs with Jinrei. They all seem happy to see each other.)

Mei: (Smiles with joy) So, you’ve finally woken up sleepyhead.

Kiyo: Every time I get into a rough battle or intense training session, I always sleep for days at a time (Chuckles). I don’t know why that is (Scratches head).

Mei: It’s hard for me to keep a straight face right now, dear; maybe you should go outside and meet with your friends.

Kiyo: Yeah, maybe I should. (Walks toward the front door) Why is there a breeze in here?

(Kiyo leaves the house and closes the door. Mei and Jinrei’s faces turn red then the two of them burst out laughing uncontrollable after 3 seconds of holding it in. Kiyo walks outside and stands at the front door. Eli and Aiko are both kicking a soccer ball around in front of the house enjoying themselves.)

Kiyo: Hey guy!

(Eli and Aiko look over to Kiyo and their eyes grow huge and pale. A sweat drop falls from each of their heads.)

Kiyo: You two look like you’ve seen a ghost. I wasn’t out for that long was I?

Aiko: (Eyes turn to stars) It’s just like I imagined! They’re so cute on you.

Kiyo: What is…?

(Kiyo looks down and realizes his wearing nothing but pink women’s underwear with a heart symbol in the middle. He doesn’t seem to be bothered by it at all!

Kiyo: Oh wow, when did I become a girl? (Stretches underwear to looks inside) Nope, still a guy. (Releases underwear)

Eli: (Covers eyes) Kiyo, please! There are children present!

Kiyo: You’re 11; you’re not a child anymore.

Eli: (Uncovers eyes) Well, I don’t want to see that, so for my sake, would you please put some clothes on?!

Aiko: (Happy) Oh come now, Elijah; he’s fine just the way he is.

Eli: Hey wait a minute… Aiko, aren’t those your underwear? Did you put those on him?!

(Aiko punches Eli in the head and he falls to the ground.)

Aiko: Just because you’re cute doesn’t mean I won’t hurt you!

Kiyo: It’s okay, Aiko, I’m not angry about it or anything. I’m actually pretty happy because I know you cared enough to let me borrow some of your clothes after mine were destroyed during the fight with Kaji. You’re so sweet.

Aiko: (Nervously pokes fingers together and blushes) Right… That’s why I did it…

Kiyo: So what should I do now that my clothing is destroyed? AH! (Nervous) My headband! Where’s my headband?! That’s my most sacred possession I have! Where is it!

Aiko: Don’t worry, Kiyo, I saved it for you. I know how much it means to you so I made sure to keep it safe. I have it right here in my pocket.

Kiyo: Aiko, you’re wearing a tunic; you don’t have pockets.

Aiko: oh that’s right… Sorry, I have no clue where it is then.

(The door behind Kiyo opens and Jiro presents the headband to Kiyo.)

Jiro: I have it.

Kiyo: (Turns around) Gee, thanks, Jiro, I owe you one.

Jiro: How about you put some clothes on and we call it even?

Kiyo: Alright, deal! (Runs inside the house)

(Jiro walks into the house as well and sits down at the small table with Jinrei and Mei. Everyone seems to be quietly enjoying the rice and eggs.)

Jiro: I greatly appreciate you letting me borrow this robe, miss.

Mei: Please just call me Mei. Any family member of Kiyo’s is a family member of mine.

Jiro: Family member?

Mei: Oh yes. Last night, Kiyo was talking in his sleep for hours about how much he cares about his group and how he hopes that someday everyone would consider him family as much as he considers you all family.

Jiro: (Stares at bowl of food) I see…

Mei: Something troubling you, young one?

Jiro: Yes, Ma’am. I don’t know who I am or who I want to be. My entire life I’ve been an irresponsible teenager who’s always been alone in this world but has always ran away from girls willingly throwing themselves at me. I have a mixed personality and I don’t know who I am. I don’t know if I’m just some scared little boy, or a brave warrior wanting to revive his old clan and become king.

Jinrei: Jiro, understand that in this world, you must be tough. When the time presents itself, always remain strong and never show fear, but never forget who you are deep down inside. Deep down you are a frightened boy who’s afraid to let others get close to you, but that’s just who you are. Just be yourself always, and when the time comes to when you have to be strong, show no fear and fight till your last breath.

Jiro: I’m not sure I understand you…

Jinrei: Just be who you’ve always been before you meet Kiyo’s group.

Jiro: You’re not very helpful right now, so I guess I’ll figure it out on my own. (Stands up and walks away) Thanks anyway.

(The Holy Sanctuary)

(There is a giant sanctuary made of pure concrete. The sanctuary is extremely huge. Huge double doors are used to enter. At the end of the room about 100 steps away is the big royal chair. About 8 feet away one each side of the chair are two giant openings to outside world. As soon as one enters the royal sanctuary the right side and left side have a wide open space. In the center of each side there are stairs that lead up to the next floor. One the sides of the stairs are pillars that hold the sanctuary in place. Looking up there are at least 12 floors. There are torches around the entire Sanctuary and everywhere else around the building, but none of them are lit. The double doors open. And the one walking in appears to be Rayna. Rayna closes the doors and looks straight ahead. A bald elderly man sits in the royal chair wearing an orange monk robe. His right leg rests on his left knee and his right fist is against his cheek. Rayna walks over to the man then bows down to him on one knee. He seems to have a deep demonic voice. And he has a very strict and frightening attitude.)

Rayna: I am truly honored to personally be called upon by the arch guardian of the world.

Tenjin: So far, I am greatly disappointed by your bowing to my stature.

Rayna: Well you are the true high king of the world, sir. I only feel it’s proper to-

Tenjin: Silence! Another word and I will kill you. I was told you were one of the fiercest amongst the people. You bow to no one and you fear no one of superior rank. I was obviously told a lie, and therefore, I’d greatly appreciate you leaving my presents quietly. If you decide to rebel against my demands to leave, I will rip your tongue out and keep it in a special box for a reminder of how disgraceful and pathetic you are.

(Rayna stands up and looks at Tenjin with a fierce look in her eyes.)

Rayna: I only bowed to show you some respect as the high king. Obviously that was a mistake.

Tenjin: Your true colors begin to show, but I’m afraid it’s too late. You’ve already disappointed me. Now leave or die.

Rayna: How about I kill you instead?

(In less than half a second, Tenjin is standing behind Rayna with his fist stabbed through Rayna’s chest and her heart in his hand. Tenjin looks down and sees that Rayna stabbed him in his chest with a pure black sword of dark energy. Tenjin then disappears. Rayna looks at the royal chair and Tenjin is still sitting in the same position as before with a blank expression on his face. Rayna’s heartless body turns into black ash and falls to the ground. A sword of pure black darkness is then stabbed through the back of the chair and out of Tenjin’s heart.)

Tenjin: Very nice. You’ve seen through me and have passed my test.

(Rayna is lying down behind the chair with her back leaned up against it and her palm stabbed through the chair.)

Tenjin: But enough with the dramatic introductions. The chair I’m sitting on his pressed all the way against the wall; leaving no space for you to stab me from behind. This is a dream, and I’d very much rather we talk in reality.

(Tenjin looks straight ahead and Rayna is still walking toward Tenjin on the red carpet. She takes 12 more steps till she gets to about 4 feet away from his chair. The two of them stare in silence for a few seconds.)

Rayna: (Cracks a smile) I had to make sure the skills of Earth’s high king weren’t getting old and dying like the rest of him.

Tenjin: My age has nothing to do with my skills. I still have as much stamina as I did when in my youth.

Rayna: Everything you just experienced was just a dream. But now you’re talking to the real me. Tell me, High King Tenjin, do I still disappoint you?

Tenjin: The real you lives up to your reputation. The real you doesn’t acknowledge the superior rankings of others and bow down to them. The real you is fierce and that is exactly what gives you my approval.

Rayna: Enough with the pep talk, old man; why am I here?

Tenjin: I trust you’re aware of Jelik rising to the surface.

Rayna: Like I said before: Kiyo’s strong enough to contain Jelik’s evil within him. You have nothing to fear.

Tenjin: The safety of the world rests on my shoulders, but sealing two halves of Jelik’s soul inside of Kiyo and Kiyomi was your decision. If anything goes wrong and Jelik is freed, then end of the world will be your responsibility.

Rayna: It’s not like we had a choice at the time. Kiyo was the only one strong enough to hold Jelik back once he was sealed inside.

Tenjin: I am not interested in excuses. (Rests arms on lap) Jelik was a real living, breathing human before you decided to seal him away into some dragon fossils. Then once that plan failed to contain Jelik and the fossil resurrected into a live dragon, you killed the mortal dragon body. Jelik’s soul still lived on however, and took on the appearance of that dragon’s body. Then you separated Jelik’s personal soul from the dragon form and sealed that dragon form within Kiyo and used forbidden spiritual energy to split Jelik’s soul in half and seal one into Kiyo and the other into Kiyomi. When something this complicated is involved, you do have a choice.

Rayna: At the time, it seemed like the only right thing to do.

Tenjin: I am Earth’s guardian. If you would have come to me before starting this mess, I could’ve dealt with it on my own terms.

Rayna: Yeah, you say that now old man.

Tenjin: I am telling you to take some responsibility for your actions and keep an eye on Kiyo Nakamoto.

Rayna: (Crosses arms) I already have a son to look after, so no thanks. And hey, you’re the guarding of Earth, so why don’t you do your job and destroy the evil in the world?

Tenjin: Because life is filled with both good and evil. It is not my place to change the natural balance. As guardian, I only get involved in significant threats to the world.

Rayna: Yeah, like Kaji?

Tenjin: If the time came when Kaji’s poison spread and began to kill the world, I would’ve acted and stopped it.

Rayna: Somehow I doubt that. Listen, I have full trust in Kiyo. I’m sure he’ll be able to handle himself and tame the evil inside of him. If something goes wrong, I promise to personally fix it.

Tenjin: Good. Now please leave. My assistants will kindly escort you out.

Rayna: No thanks, I’m not a child; I’ll show myself out. (Turns around)

Tenjin: Wait! Before you go, I request a different task from you.

(Rayna remains silent with her back turned to Tenjin.)

Tenjin: Since you wish to disobey my orders to keep an eye on Kiyo, I want you to bring him to me. Tell him to find his way to my sanctuary for special training. I will teach him how to master control of his evil energy.

Rayna: By doing that, the evil will no longer be sealed away. It will become one and fuse with Kiyo’s soul.

Tenjin: If all training goes well, Kiyo’s good and evil will become one, but Kiyo should still be able to make his own choices and continue to make good decisions.

Rayna: Kiyo is my student; no one else’s.

Tenjin: You bring Kiyo to me, or I’ll kill you and drag him here myself.

Rayna: Fine… I’ll tell him to seek you out for training. But finding this sanctuary will not be easy. It rests on the peak of the world tallest mountains above the clouds.

Tenjin: (Tosses a scroll into her side pocket) This scroll contains a map to my quarters. Give this to him and tell him to find me.

Rayna: Once I tell him those words, I’m leaving him to do the rest on his own.

Tenjin: That is… acceptable.

(Mei’s garden)

(Eli is standing in Mei’s beautiful garden located in the center of the house. He stares in her beautiful clear pond checking out his new clothing. He’s wearing a long sleeved all white buttoned over shirt, all black pants and white house shoes with white socks. As Eli continues to check himself out, a giant fish jumps out of the water and bites him in the nose. The fish attempts to sucks his face of; Eli desperately tries to pull the fish off. The fish continues to latch on with no sign of releasing. Eli begins rolling all over the grass trying to pull it off. Jiro lies down on the wooden stairs watching Eli with a blank expression. Kiyomi opens the door beside Jiro and enters the garden. She closes the door then sits next to Jiro on the top step.)

Kiyomi: You know, you and I aren’t so different. We both struggle to accept the truth and let go of our pasts. The innocent people I’ve killed are gone now and I need to accept that. Well actually, Kaji helped me accept that. I’ve learned to let go of the past and learn to keep living life. (Looks at Jiro) You need to accept that your clan is dead and focus on your future. (Puts hand on his shoulder) I know you’ve been alone your whole life, but you have us now. We’re your friends.

(Jiro looks over at Kiyomi and Kiyomi gives him a big smile. He then looks away toward the ground.)

Jiro: That really means a lot to me, Kiyomi. But being a king is a passion I’ve always had in my heart. Using the Gem of Croy to wish back the dead members of my clan is all I look forward to in my future. You may not agree with it, but it’s what I want. I don’t care how angry you get at me or how much you hate me; this is what I want for my future.

(Jiro quickly stands up and turns around to leave. Kiyomi grabs onto his hand to stop him. Jiro looks down at her. Kiyomi smiles, and then stands up to give Jiro a big hug. Jiro stands a bit confused and his feelings are conflicted. Kiyomi closes her eyes and hugs tighter. After about 5 seconds, Jiro begins to hesitantly move his hand up. He begins to shake.)

Kiyomi: It’s okay, Jiro. You don’t have to pretend to be tough anymore. We’re like family now; you can show your true self to me.

(Jiro gives into his feelings and hugs Kiyomi with arm. He closes his eyes and just releases all of his troubles.)

Kiyomi: And I don’t hate you for wanting to bring your clan back from the dead and becoming their king. Family always accepts family no matter what. I may not think the same way you do or agree with your decision, but I’ll always be here to support you; we all will…

Jiro: Thank you…

(A random fish smacks Jiro in the face and ruins the moment.)

Eli: (Excited) Yes! I finally got it off!

Jiro: (Stops hugging Kiyomi) ELI!

Eli: (Nervously walks over to Jiro while talking to him) Oh, sorry about that, Jiro, I didn’t see there. I didn’t mean to ruin the moment for you two.

(Eli stands in front of Jiro and picks up the flopping fish from off the ground.)

Jiro: It’s all good, Eli, just please try not to let it happen again; Kiyomi and I were having a moment.

(Kiyomi stands quiet and crosses her arms.)

Eli: (Teasing) Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t know I was interrupting your smooch-time.

Jiro: (Face turns red and stammers) What?! No! It’s not like that, really! Kiyomi, tell him it wasn’t like that please!

Kiyomi: This has nothing to do to with me, so I’m staying out of it. (Turns around and walks back inside.)

Jiro: This has everything to do with you!

Eli: (Gets closer and whispers to Jiro) Hey, jiro… if you wanted a kiss so badly, I could hook you up with somebody. I know someone’s who’s just dying for a kiss…

Jiro: (Bends down and gets closer to Eli) And who might that be?

Eli: Mrs. Fish!

(Eli quickly presses the big fish against Jiro’s lips. The fish then opens its mouth and tries to suck Jiro’s face. Eli falls to the ground on his back laughing loudly non-stop. Jiro stands with his arms crossed and groans. He squints his eyes and his face turns blue.)

Jiro: (Thinking) Gee, who should I slice first; the fish, or the boy…?

(Inside the house)

(Mei walks into Kiyo’s room. He stands in front of her scratching his head with Aiko’s underwear still on.)

Mei: Uhm…

Kiyo: Sorry, Mei; Jiro gave me something to put on, but I don’t remember where I placed it.

(Aiko is hidden in the closet peaking into Kiyo’s room with his robe right next to her.)

Mei: Well no worries; we all misplace things at some point in our lives. You it happens to more often though.

Kiyo: Hey, whatcha got on your arm there?

Mei: These are your new clothes, young Kiyo. (Shows Kiyo the clothing)

Kiyo: Sorry but no. An all orange one-piece suit that the hero wears constantly seems pretty cliché to me, Grandma Mei. I wanna try something different.

Mei: Well…

Kiyo: Well what?

Mei: There is one other thing you can try on. This is a custom-made costume I made for when you grew up and became a warrior like your sensei Rayna.

(Mei and Kiyo casually leave the room. Aiko quickly pounces out of the closet and begins rolling and smelling all over Kiyo’s blankets and pillow. After ten seconds she stops and Nini falls from the ceiling. Nini slams into the ground but then gets up quickly. Aiko and Nini stare at each other for 3 seconds. Nini quickly runs out of the room and Aiko continues to roll around in Kiyo’s covers. Mei enters her room and opens up a glass case.)

Mei: If you want, I could give you this suit now. It can be your signature costume.

Kiyo: Heck yeah, I’ll take it!

(Kiyo puts on his new costume. He continues to wear his red headband with the metal plate in the middle that displays a symbol of fire. His shirt is long sleeved but he tucks them in at the top to make them look short sleeved. The shoulders and sleeves are black, but the shirt itself is red. On the back of the shirt is a Kanji symbol. His pants are black and his shoes are dark blue. The bottom of Kiyo’s pants has blue flame designs on them.)

Kiyo: Hmm, I like it, but it’s missing imagination.

Mei: Well, you can change this suit anytime you wish. This suit is designed to change its own shape and design by orders of the one wearing it. If the suit is to ever get damaged, it can repair itself as well.

Kiyo: I see… and how did you pull that one off?

Mei: It’s a special type of spiritual energy I used, dear.

Kiyo: Thanks, Mei, I really appreciate this. But maybe I should try a different shirt. Instead of my shirt being all red with black sleeves, how about I make it all orange with white sleeve?

(The costume changes colors.)

Kiyo: (Smiles) Awesome!

Mei: (Smiles) Any other changed you’d like to make?

Kiyo: Hmm… How about a cloak to go over it? Like maybe an all black robe with a white dragon symbol on the back and the inside color of the robe can be white too. Yeah! Then I’ll keep the robe open at all times until I enter in battle. Then I’ll just button it closed.

(An open robe appears over Kiyo’s costume.)

Kiyo: (Excited) Wow this thing is pretty magical!

Mei: (Smiles) That’s the power of spirit magic, dear.

Kiyo: Hmm…

Mei: Huh? What’s wrong dear; you don’t like it? You could always change it again.

Kiyo: That’s exactly the problem. This costume obviously has some kind of spiritual energy bounded on it. If I wanted to, I could use this costume to shift into anything, even a sword if I wanted to. I just think that’s a bit unrealistic and just not right. Maybe you should remove the energy that’s a part of it.

Mei: I understand, Kiyo. Once I remove the energy, your costume will remain the same design as it is now, and it will no longer be self-repairable.

Kiyo: I kinda like the self repair thing though. Is there any way you can keep that?

Mei: I’m afraid it’s a packaged deal, dear; I apologize.

Kiyo: (Smiles) It’s alright; I understand.

(Garden)

(Jiro finally gets the fish off and throws it back in the pond.)

Jiro: (Sighs) You think that fish would’ve died already from lack of water.

(Jinrei enters the garden.)

Jinrei: Jiro! Your new clothes are ready for you.

(Jiro wears black boots, black leather pants, and a sleeveless black leather shirt that zips up in the middle. He wears black fingerless gloves, his hair is short and dirty blonde, and his eyes are a very gorgeous green. His sword remains by his side.)

Jiro: It’s a lot cleaner than my last suit was.

Jinrei: (Smiles with joy) How wonderful of you to say that; I worked on this design myself.

(In front of the house)

(Kiyomi sits in front of the house looking up at the sky. Mizuki is flying around in circles. Kiyomi is wearing her white T-shirt with her long green skirt that crosses at the top from right to left and is pinned together at the top left side. She still wears Eli’s light blue jacket that he gave to her the first time they met. Mizuki screams three times then flies away. Kiyomi gets a serious face on.)

Kiyomi: (Thinking) Someone’s coming. I better inform everyone.

(Aiko walks out to the front of the house with Kiyomi. Aiko has short brown hair, beautiful brown eyes, and a purple tunic. Her sword is on her left side, her throwing knives are on her black knife holder that’s strapped around her left thigh, her dagger is in its case strapped to her lower back on a brown belt, and she wears white bandages around both her wrists. Kiyomi stands up to walk back toward the front door of the house. As she passes Aiko, she whispers something in Aiko’s ear.)

Kiyo: (Whispers) We have an unwanted visitor; check ‘em out.

(An old man across the village wipes the sweat off his forehead from working on something. He looks over at Aiko and she seems to be looking up at the sky. The man closes his eyes for a second to wipe the sweat off again. He looks back toward Aiko and she’s nowhere to be found. The man scratches his head. Aiko is hidden in a tree watching the unwanted visitor in the forest outside the village. The unwanted visitor is Rayna. Rayna casually walks on the trail toward the peaceful village. Aiko’s eyes squint and in a quick second, Rayna throws a shard of pure light toward the tree Aiko was just in. The shard stabs through and birds fly out of the tree in fear. Aiko is standing behind a different tree on the other side of the trail. Rayna continue to keep movie toward the village. Aiko disappears. In Mei’s room, Nini is running all over Kiyo’s body and he’s laughing and trying to catch her. Kiyomi walks in with a serious attitude.)

Kiyomi: We have company, Kiyo. Mizuki sent me a signal.

Kiyo: Alright then, round everybody up. But whatever you do, do not engage in battle with whoever this is. Everyone travelled 4 days straight without stopping for a rest and you hardly ate anything. No one has the strength to fight right now.

Kiyomi: You’re the leader.

(After about 30 seconds, every member of Kiyo’s team is outside standing at the front of Mei’s house cautiously waiting for the unwelcomed visitor to arrive.)

Kiyo: Hey, by the way, where are Sabrina, Joseph, and Sasha?

Kiyomi: Joseph was healed by Sasha, but we left his body there on the ground, Sabrina decided to wait for Joseph to wake up so the two of them can continue to the Dark Castle, and Sasha is still looking for a new city to crown herself princess. She said she may rebuild Light City. Kaji’s dead, so his city can be rebuild and she can rule over it now to take his place.

Kiyo: Cool.

(Rayna walks into the village and stands at the gate. Team Kiyo stands side-by-side glaring at Rayna. They face off. Kiyo get extremely excited.)

Kiyo: RAYNA SENSEI!

(Kiyo dashes at Rayna full speed. As soon as Kiyo goes to hug Rayna, she jams her fist in his face. He falls to the ground.)

Kiyo: (Dizzy) It’s nice to see you too…

Rayna: So this is your team, huh? What a pathetic-looking bunch. I bet I could take all of you out by myself.

(Nini licks Kiyo’s face to wake him up. He quickly stands up.)

Kiyo: You’re not one to drop by for a visit, so I’m guessing you’re here for an important reason, Sensei?

Rayna: Good; you can still read me. Now I have a lot to say so maybe we should discuss this over a meal.

Kiyo: ALRIGHT FOOD!

Rayna: (Punches Kiyo in the head) Stop yelling in my ear!

Kiyo: (Whisper in pain) Sorry…

(It is now night time. Kiyo, Kiyomi, Eli, Aiko, Jiro, Mizuki, Nini, Jinrei, Mei, and Rayna are all eating a big feast in Mei’s kitchen. The room is quiet and everybody seems to be a bit depressed about something. But Kiyo remains the most upset.)

Rayna: So that’s the truth. Kiyo I’m sorry you had to learn this way, but in my defense, I never even wanted you to find out.

Kiyo: This whole time, I thought you saving me from Phantom was our first encounter. Now I find out you’ve known me since before I was even born. You were the one who sealed the evil inside of me and on top of that… you sealed a dragon inside me… I have half the mind to just unleash my evil upon you right now! I’ve learned how to contact him. I’ve learned how to contact Jelik and let him take over me… What you did to me was unforgivable, Rayna. (Spits out fire as he says this sentence) UNFORGIVABLE!

Rayna: Stop complaining and acting like a baby about it! What’s done is done and the only thing you can do about it is unleash that evil inside you, lose control, and bring the human race to extinction! And I highly doubt you have the dexterity to do that!

(Kiyo dramatically stands up.)

Kiyo: I know what else I can do! I can challenge you to a fight to the death right now!

(Rayna dramatically stands up.)

Rayna: You do not wanna go there with me, you little brat! You’re crossing a line!

Kiyo: Like student; like sensei; I guess now both of us have crossed a line and went too far.

Rayna: Watch it…

Kiyo: What are you gonna tell me another earth-shattering secret; like you’re mother? Are you my mother?

Rayna: I’m not saying no, but I’m not saying yes either.

(Both glare in each others’ eyes with anger.)

Eli: (Whispers) Before these two destroy the dinner table, may I have more rice?

Kiyo: (Calms down) I’m sorry, Eli. I’m sorry everyone… I didn’t mean to bring such negativity to the dinner table. (Sits down) Mei, this food is really delicious.

Mei: Actually, Jinrei cooked it. He’s so handy in the kitchen.

Jinrei: (Blushes) Oh, you’re too kind.

Rayna: jinrei, before I left the guardian’s quarters, he let me taste his food. I told him to his face that he and his assistants are terrible cooks. I spit the food out on the floor and he kicked me out. I admit you’re food is delicious. So maybe you should be the chef for him.

Jinrei: Oh my, wow! The official chef for Earth’s protector… Do you really think I’m that good?

(Rayna puts her brown trench jacket on and opens the front door. She keeps her back turned to everyone the entire time she talks.)

Rayna: I hate repeating myself. Kiyo… I apologize for what your father and I did to you. I really am. And I’m saying sorry to you too, Kiyomi. But understand Jelik’s power. He could end this world all by himself at will. Your body was the only thing that could contain him. You should be happy that your infant body was strong enough to seal away a force powerful enough to end existence. I’m leaving. Tenjin expects you at his mansion in a month. I expect you all to be on your way by tomorrow afternoon. The scroll he entrusted me to give to you is right beside the cushion I was sitting at. Take good care of it, cause it is the map to where you have to go. Goodbye.

(Rayna leaves and closes the door. Everybody quickly huddles together in a circle impatiently and with great anticipation. Eli quickly opens up the map.)

Aiko: Awe its empty. That’s no fun.

Kiyo: Maybe it’s one of those maps you put above fire to see its secrets.

Jiro: That would make sense. If Tenjin is the guardian, he wouldn’t want to be found so easily.

(Kiyo creates a small fire and puts it under the scroll. The entire scroll catches on fire instantly and the paper disintegrates within seconds. The fire continues to burn the wood. Kiyo uses his mind to put the fire out, and then the wood of the scroll just falls to ashes.)

Eli: Ah man, they fell in my bowl of Teriyaki Chicken.

Kiyomi: Okay, so now we lost the so called “map;” now what do we do?

Kiyo: Wow, sorry you guys; I didn’t know that was going to happen. Maybe we should… Hmm… Maybe we should just adventure around awhile. I mean we lost the map now, so there’s no way to find the guardian. Let’s just continue on in our adventures around the world to find the Gem of Croy.

Jiro: Sounds like a plan to me.

Aiko: Alright!

Kiyo: Or actually… Maybe I should go tell Rayna about the situation…

(A woman wearing an all white cloak with a red ruby tied in the top center of it stands hidden behind a tree in the darkness of the night. She’s holding a scroll. She has a beautiful yet devious voice.)

Mysterious Woman: Oh how I’ve searched and searched for you my beautiful crowned jewel. I posses in my gorgeous hands the real scroll. This scroll will finally reveal to me the whereabouts of Tenjin’s hidden sanctuary. Once I kill him, I will take his place as the one who watches over the world. (Moan) I can picture it now… Everything in this world will be mine. And once I’m guardian, not even that skinless corpse Osmodeus can stop me! I will be queen of everybody and they will have to bow down to me!

(The woman looks straight ahead and Kiyo stands in front of her with his arms crossed.)

Kiyo: So, that’s your plan, huh? Sorry, but I can’t let that happen. My entire team has you surrounded.

Mysterious Woman: So you knew I took the scroll. You planned to see where I’d go with it.

Kiyo: No, actually I just came out here to talk to my Sensei, but then I heard you blabbering. My team isn’t really behind you either; I just said that to be intimidating.

Mysterious Woman: Are you stupid?

Kiyo: Yes… but I couldn’t tell you exactly how stupid on a scale of one to ten…

(The woman throws a huge blue ball of energy at Kiyo. He jumps up to a tree to dodge it.)

Kiyo: (Thinking) How could she possible throw out an attack so huge in less than a second?! It would take me at least 2 minutes to build up that much power. I’m obviously out of my league here; I need to get back to the others.

(Kiyo jumps from branch-to-branch to get away from the woman. The woman opens up the scroll and puts it down on the ground.)

Mysterious Woman: I need to do this quick before that idiot comes back and foils my plans.

(Kiyo gets to the front of the house and everyone, except Mei, rushes outside in panic.)

Kiyomi: Kiyo, what happened; we heard a loud noise?!

Kiyo: Some woman stole the real scroll and is planning to use it to locate and kill Tenjin and take over the world.

Kiyomi: We need to stop her then, so let’s go!

Kiyo: She’s way too powerful, Kiyomi!

Kiyomi: Since when do we run from fights, Kiyo?!

Kiyo: Err, alright!

(Everyone walks up to where the woman is at. The scroll on the ground has turned itself into a blue spinning portal. The wind is heavy; sticks and leaves are being sucked into the portal.)

Mysterious Woman: (Indulging) Yes! Vexianne, you’ve outdone yourself this time. The spell that old lady taught me actually worked! I can teleport myself to any location on this map! It’s too bad I can only use the spell once.

Kiyomi: Hey! Stop this right now!

Vexi: (Turns to Kiyomi in anger) I will not let you ruin my plans!

(Three more hooded people jump out of the trees and stand in front of Vexi.)

Vexi: The portal is ready! Time for our plan to come into affect!

(Vex lets out a very evil menacing giggle. The portal gets bigger and absorbs the three hooded people and Vexina.)

Kiyomi: We can’t let her get away! This is our only lead to Tenjin!

(Kiyo, Kiyomi, Eli, Jiro, Aiko, Mizuki, Nini, and Jinrei all jump into the portal. They all appear in the sanctuary and land on the ground. Rayna then falls out of the portal after them and lands on top of Eli.)

Rayna: Thanks for breaking my fall, kid.

Eli: (Hurt) Yeah…

(Everybody stands up. They all look over and see Tenjin sitting in his chair with his same everyday normal position.)

Kiyo: Are you Tenjin?

Tenjin: I am. You must be Kiyo Nakamoto.

Kiyo: (Smiles) I am.

Tenjin: Vexianna and her three evil followers are within the forest under my sanctuary. It will take them days to find this place. In that time, you will all be under intense training.

Kiyo: Alright, sounds like fun.

Eli: Hey, wait! Why did that Vex woman and her followers teleport someplace else?

Tenjin: Because this is a holy place, child. Her evil is not welcomed here unless the evil repelling barrier is removed.

Eli: I see, so the evil barrier teleported her someplace else.

Tenjin: Yes. You are not welcome here either, Rayna!

Rayna: But I brought you a new cook. His name is Jinrei and he is a true master at what he does.

Jinrei: (Nervous) Well I mean I do my best, but I wouldn’t say I’m a master!

Tenjin: Not good enough! What other offering have you brought for me to welcome you once again into my home?

Rayna: You know how powerful Vexi is. I will go out and deal with her myself, high king Tenjin.

Tenjin: I doubt even you are powerful enough to defeat her. But if you attempt to fight her and you come back alive, you will once again be welcomed.

Rayna: (Grins) Yes, sir.

Tenjin: Kiyo Nakamoto, your journey will be like no other! Your quest will be more epic and your trials will be more deadly! Go with Rayna to help her defeat Vexina.

Kiyo: I’m Kiyo Nakamoto, and I will be gone for awhile. When I return to you, everything changes and an epic new journey will rise!
