Weak Man, Weak Boy.

And a calm heart will break when given a shake.

As the weeks past, the closer and closer the two got. The more and more the two spent with each other, the easier it was for Oliver to fall for Annabelle. Though he never let it show. The beast was still very alive in him, only Annabelle was able to see past it.

“So you’re a proper yank.”

Annabelle nodded her head as she wiped off the dust from the counter. “Born and raised baby,” she said with a grin not noticing the tint in Oliver’s cheek.

“What brought you here?”

She simply shrugged her shoulders spraying the Windex on the flat screen. “A new life,” she said simply. “My mother passed away when I was young, it was just me and my father,” she said wiping away the dirt. “My father got sick and decided he wanted to see the world. We got plane tickets, traveled and then it got worse.”

“Is he dead?”

Oliver immediately regretted the words as he noticed her reflection. He watched her wince at the words before shaking it off. She was used to his harsh words and he had wished she hadn’t.

“Still in the hospital,” she spoke turning around to face him. “That’s why I have these shitty jobs, to pay for the bills.”

“If you need money-“

She looked up and into his eyes. The kindness taking over and that brought a smile to her face. He immediately changed his expression before placing the cocky smile on his lips.

“You could always be a prostitute,” he spoke as the girl rolled her eyes walking away. “I’m a sure a fit girl like you could make a lot of money.”

“The thought did cross my mind.”

Oliver’s eyes widen as he jumped to face the girl that was right behind him. “Have you gone mental?”

“It was a joke.”

“Oh,” he spoke before sitting straight in his seat.

“Was that a hint of caring?”

Oliver shook his head feeling his cheeks heat up. “Oh come off,” he spoke with a laugh. “I was just seeing how much I could pay for a bit of a blow job,” he spoke hearing scoff coming from the girl behind him. “I haven’t really got my dick sucked in a while.”

“You’re disgusting.”

“I’m just a man.”

“Yeah, yeah,” she said with a laugh. “I just need to get laid,” she spoke as his eyes went wide.

“A proper lady should never speak like that.”

“Lucky for me, I’m not a proper lady.”

Oliver grinned in her direction before nodding his head. She gave him a wink before turning around. His eyes went straight to her long legs, watched as she cleaned the floor. His eyes instantly went to her butt, staring with his mouth watering.

“Could you stop looking at my ass?”

He instantly jumped back and stared out the window with his cheeks burning at the mention. “Thank you,” she spoke as a grin spread across his lips.

“How could you possibly have this place a complete mess already?”

“I have talent, I suppose.”

She rolled her eyes before walking into the house. “At least you talent in something,” she spoke with raised eyebrows at the mess out in front of her. “I was just here three days ago,” she spoke throwing her hair up in a bun. “How could you possibly do this?”

“I’m a man.”

“More like a pig,” she spoke with a grin before grabbing her supplies. “Please tell me the bedroom is condom and underwear free, I would really love it if I didn’t have to clean up your mistakes,” she spoke with a roll of her eyes feeling the jealousy rushing to her body as she walked into the bedroom. “Oh look, I don’t see one single condom wrapper.”

“Slow week.”

“You have terrible taste,” she spoke with a roll of her eyes. “What girl with any self-respect would just have sex without any feelings whatsoever?”

“What does that say about me?”

She could feel his body getting closer. “You’re a man; you’re not supposed to have self-respect.”

He let out a laugh before getting closer to the girl with his eyes burning into hers as they stood there offal close to one another. She looked up at him and couldn’t help but to see the nervousness in his face.

“I got a surprise for you.”

She raised an eyebrow in his direction. “Oh yeah?” she asked as he nodded his head nervous.

“Follow me,” he spoke before walking out of the room.

Annabelle felt her heart race out of her chest as she walked out of the room trying her best to follow him. She watched him walk into one of the empty rooms and she followed suite. When she walked into the room, she couldn’t help but to feel her heart race out of her chest. She looked around the room with a bright smile on her face.

She walked over to the book shelf, her hands running down the spines of the books all lined up perfectly, looking like gold in her eyes. She turned to the small chair rested there along with a light hovering over. Finally she turned to Oliver, watching him stand there with his hands in his tight jeans rocking on his heels.

“Is this for me?”

He shrugged his shoulders before giving her a grin. “For your breaks,” he spoke looking everywhere but her eyes. “You always complain about not having anywhere comfortable to read and about the lighting,” he said pointing towards the chair and light.

She was speechless and Oliver took her lack of words as something bad. “If you don’t like it, you could just go out and say it.”

Annabelle let out a laugh before walking towards him a wide smile on her face. She went to wrap her arms around his neck, he instantly flinched at her movements but she didn’t mind. She continued to wrap her arms around his tense body. Her hug was unresponsive on his part as he stood there like some limp noodle.

He was nervous with the girl so close in his arms. He inhaled her sweet scent as he finally lifted his hands up and placed it on her back. He finally pulled her body close to his as they embraced each other. They held on to each other tight, both inhaling the other person’s scent. They held each other close as Oliver let his eyes wonder around the room. He finally took one last breath before closing his eyes and enjoying the feeling of another person, affection was what he lacked. Then something clicked in his head and he pushed himself out of her arms. Annabelle looked up at him with such confusion.

“Now get to cleaning, this counts as one of your long breaks,” he said before exiting out of the room.

Annabelle watched with a wide grin as he walked out of the room. She looked around the room feeling her heart beat and the fluttering sensation bursting in her stomach.

The two men walked through the front door without bothering to knock. Their eyes instantly finding an empty couch and the scent of rain fresh clean, they had never seen the apartment so clean in their lives. They could hear the laughter coming from a room, they had never once heard Oliver laugh or at least not in the vicious way that he usual did. They exchanged looked before walking down the hall, their eyes instantly looking into the room. There stood Oliver and a beautiful young girl, wide smiles on both of their faces. They exchanged looked before one of them cleared their throat. The two bodies jumped before Oliver turned to the two men.

“What have I told you two about knocking?”

“We need to talk.”

Oliver turned to Annabelle before turning back to the man. “Could this wait?”

They both raised their eyebrows before shaking their head. “You can leave now,” they said narrowing their eyes at Annabelle.

That just pissed Oliver off even more. “You don’t speak to her like that.”

“I speak to the hired help however I please.”

Oliver took a step forward only to get a hand placed on his chest. He looked down at the girl who was just simply smiling up at him. Oliver felt his body melt at the sight of her smile. He felt his body calm; Annabelle had that strength over her.

“I’m just going to go,” she said with a smile.

“You don’t have to,” he spoke with gritted teeth.

“Its fine,” she said before turning to the men. “Excuse me,” she spoke pushing her way through the men. “Dicks,” she said sending a smile to Oliver’s lips.

Oliver watched the girl gather up her things before turning to look at him one last time. She gave him a smile before exiting out the door. Oliver turned to the men only to see then laugh.

“What?”

“You’ve got it bad,” he spoke with a roar of laughter.

“She’s beautiful,” he found himself admitting.

“Way too good for you mate,” one of the men yelled causing Oliver’s eyes to pop open wide.

“You’re nothing but an asshole in her eyes and you never will be more,” he spoke as he looked down at the ground feeling sick to his stomach.

“Look,” the other man spoke laughing harder. “He actually thinks the girls like him.

The two let out louder laughs just causing Oliver to look down at his torn shoes. “You think she likes you,” the man spoke with such hurt in his voice. “She’s only here because you pay her, if you didn’t she wouldn’t even think about you twice.”

“Get out.”

“No woman will ever love you,” he spoke with such bitterness enjoying tearing down the man that tore him down many times before. “You’re nothing but a selfish prat,” he said through gritted teeth.

“You’re nothing but a monster.”

Annabelle watched from a distance watching Oliver’s ever move or at least lack of. There he sat, like many times before with a beer in hand and his eyes out through the window. She knitted her eyebrows together but continued to clean around the house. An hour past and there he sat, still in his own world. She took a deep breath before making her way over to him.

“What’s going on?”

He said nothing.

“Oli,” she said softly.

“Don’t call me that,” he spat not even daring to look into her eyes. “Only my friends call me that and you’re nothing but hired help.”

She let out a bitter laugh before rolling her eyes. “I guess you’re on your period today,” she spoke before walking away from him.

The bedroom looked as though no one had even walked inside it. The bed was still made and there was no sign that anything had moved. She looked back at Oliver before back into the bedroom. At least she found comfort in him not sleeping with anyone. Annabelle was falling in love with Oliver and every day she spent with him the surer she was. She saw through the evil and saw the good inside.

“I’m going down to the store,” he shouted from the living room.

Just as she was about to respond the sound of the door slamming was met with her ears causing her whole body to jump. She rolled her eyes with anger before walking out of the room shutting the door behind her.

“Fucking prick,” she said with that same smile on her face.

She grabbed the vacuum pushing it against the carpet as her eyes made its way to the forbidden door, or at least what she named it. She let her wondering eyes go back to the empty living room before turning back to the room. She took a deep breath before placing her hand on the knob. She turned the knob quickly before pushing the door open; this was the closet she had ever been to seeing what was behind the door. She closed her eyes having a small argument with the voice inside her head. She went to close the door with a shake of her head before curiosity took the best of her.

She pushed the door open and took a step inside. The room was dark, no light was shining in. She could feel a cold shiver go over her whole body as she took everything in. She took a step forward to the dressed up against the wall; her eyes staring down at the lined up picture frames, her eyes staring from each picture seeing a pattern in each of them.

And her name was Amanda.

Annabelle reached over taking the picture in her hand. Oliver’s arms were wrapped tightly around the girl as the two smiled brightly into the camera. Those bright green eyes straight back at Annabelle made her stomach turn. The girl was absolutely beautiful and Oliver looked happy, happier than he had ever seen him. She took a deep breath before placing the picture frame down in the same spot it was in.

Annabelle felt defeated, the girl was beautiful and well Annabelle was nothing close to her. She reached down to see a stack of newspapers. Her eyebrows knitted together as she reached down, her eyes reading every word as her heart beat out of her chest.

“What are you bloody doing in here?”

Annabelle felt her body freeze and her body run cold. “I fucking told you one bloody thing!” he yelled ripping the papers from her hands. “What the fuck are you doing in here?!”

She was scared and she felt her body jump up in fear. She didn’t know what to say so she stood there with tears in her eyes. Oliver looked over at the picture frame with such sadness before turning to Annabelle.

“Get the fuck out!”

“Oliver,” she choked out. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Get the fuck out!”

She felt a tear fall down her face as she felt the heat from his rising body heat. The anger was taking over his body and all she saw was the beast.

“Get out!” he roared grabbing her arm. “Get the fuck out!” he yelled pushing the girl out of the room.

But there she stood in tears staring up at him. “Oliver, you’re hurting me.”

His gripped tightened as he continued to drag her towards the door. “Get out!” he yelled pushing her again, this time letting go of his grip.

She flew, straight across the room and on to the floor. The tears were spilling from her face as her body shook I fear.

“Please stop this,” she said through tears. “This isn’t you, you’re not this person.”

He didn’t say anything but let his emotions take the best of him. He reached down grabbing the girl and picking her up on her feet. His fingers digging into her shoulder making the girl wince in pain.

“Listen to me,” he spoke as spit was shutting from his mouth. “I’m a terrible person,” he spoke with such anger. “I’m nothing but a monster,” he said shooting bile.

“Oliver,” she said reaching out to touch his face. “You’re a beautiful person, you’re beautiful.”

He said nothing but pushed her hand off of his face. “I want you out!”

He pushed the girl up against the wall, her head hitting hard against the notch of the door. “You’re hurting me,” she said through tears.

“Don’t you ever fucking listen?!”

He grabbed the girls arm before pulling open the door. He looked deep into her eyes only seeing fear of what he was. He pushed her out the door.

“I don’t want to ever see you again!”

With a slam of the door, the two fell to the floor in a puddle of their tears. Oliver was nothing but a monster, a beast, and he would never be anything more than that.
