If Love Is Sweet, What Is This, Draco Malfoy?

I snuck out at 4pm and me and Draco lounged in the Slytherin common room, talking about anything we thought of before the curfew bell rang. It was fun to sneak around, so Draco and I snuck around the building way after midnight, checking out the other secret passageways. It took a while to find out how to get into them and explore them properly, so we had only gotten through two passageways by 2am, and had four left.
“Draco I’m tired now” I said, knocking into him constantly through my sleepiness. “I think I’ll just go to bed” I sighed, before going towards the girl’s corridors. Draco nodded and wished me good night before going to his own dorm. I walked into my room to find all three of my girls were there, including another friend of ours. She was sleeping in my bed. I walked over to my bed to find a note on my dressing table

If you get this note which I am sure that you most likely will not, I just wanted to apologise for having Kat sleep on your bed. She just broke up with her boyfriend and the girls and I had a slumber party with her to make her feel better. Even though she has Faye as her roommate, Pansy is also there. Obviously she wasn’t going to be comforted in her own room. You and Draco have been acting pretty close lately anyway. Most people can see that. So I just figured you would sleep there tonight? I hope I’m right, because I’d feel terrible if you were kicked out of your own room. This is just a precaution because there is possibly no chance that you’re sleeping here, with all the rumours and stories flying around the school about you and Draco (long story) sleep well anyway Maia. See you in morning, that is, if you’re not busy with Draco ;)

I sighed. Did she not know me at all? First, if I was with Draco, I would have told her. And second, I’m not the sort of slag to spend the night in her boyfriend’s bed at school when she had her own bed. Why was it that every time a girl had a guy friend, it had to mean that she was shagging him? I rolled my eyes and walked back out of my bedroom before sitting down outside. I sighed and went back in, picked up a duvet and a pillow before walking down to the common room. I collapsed on the sofa, and then pulled the duvet over me before slotting the pillow under my head. I was about to fall asleep when I saw a familiar face walk into the common room
“Draco?” I asked sleepily as I sat up
“Maia? What are you doing here?” he asked me worriedly
“Oh… long story but the bed in my room is temporarily unavailable so…” I said, motioning to my make shift bed. Draco smiled
“Come and sleep in my room then, silly girl” he said, pulling me up
“What?” I asked, horrified
“Don’t look like that! It’s late and you need a bed. You sleep on my bed and I’ll sleep on the floor ok?” he said, and I shook my head
“Draco what will people think?” I gasped. He smiled
“Well… we weren’t obviously going to rise early in the morning tomorrow, so we can just sleep in and then when we’re sure everyone’s gone, you can sneak out of my room. He said simply
“Draco that’s not right. You’re just my friend!” I exclaimed. Draco flinched slightly but put on a fake smile
“And as a friend I’m lending you a bed. Now are you going to come or will I have to drag you there?” he asked, picking up my pillow and duvet.

I followed him silently and entered his room for the second time. He put my duvet and pillow on a table and then pulled out another set of pillows and a duvet, before setting them on the floor
“Thanks” I sighed, as I slipped into the duvet before feeling Draco pick me right back up and put me on his bed
“When I meant sleep in my room, I meant on the bed. I’m sleeping on the floor” he said, getting into the covers on the floor. I shook my head and stood up
“No Draco. I feel terrible already bothering you. I can’t take your bed as well. I’ll sleep on the floor” I said
“No. You’re the girl. You sleep on the bed”
“That’s so sexist! I’m angry with you now! Stop talking and leave me alone on the floor” I said stubbornly, and saw Draco smirk
“No. You’re a guest. Bed”
“No, you’re the owner. You get on the bed” I shot back. Draco sighed
“Stop being stupid and lie down and go to sleep, please Maia” he said, and I grinned
“Ok” I said, getting on the floor. Draco sighed
“I didn’t mean lie down on the floor” he told me
“Too bad”
“Are you going to get on the bed or will I have to make you?” he threatened
“This conversation could go on for a while. We won’t need to sleep by that time”
“Just sleep on the bed, please. Do it as a favour to me”
“No, I’m not taking your bed from you”
“Maia stop being silly and sleep will you?”
“Fine, come to a compromise then” I said, willing to accept that. He looked at me for a while, thinking. I sighed “You really should think before calling me an idiot. Sleep on the bed with me” I explained. Draco looked stunned
“I can’t do that”
“Why? Do I smell?”
“No. You smell amazing. I mean… it will be awkward for you” he explained. I smiled
“It doesn’t have to be unless you want it to.” I told him gently, before pulling the covers back so he could get in. He looked at me for a while before nodding. He went into the bathroom and freshened up before coming back out in his underwear. I hadn’t really noticed before but he really did look good with just underwear on. Draco smirked when he noticed me checking him out
“Do you find me attractive?” he teased, and I rolled my eyes and lay down as he got into the bed with me. “Can I ask you something?” he asked me, and I nodded “Why do girls have to change into something different just to sleep?” he asked, nodding towards my pyjamas
“Because girls don’t sleep topless seeing as it would reveal too much” I told him. He smirked
“Well personally I wouldn’t mind girls sleeping in underwear” Draco smirked. I rolled my eyes
“What if the girl was hot but had like granny underwear?” I questioned. He looked terrified, and I giggled “See? It’s not always a win, win situation” I told him, and he scowled at me. I grinned at him, and he smiled back before wishing me good night for the second time, and just like that I was lost in a deep sleep, thinking about how much Draco and I had connected just in a day
