When I woke up the next morning, I still felt sick to the gut, and was shivering. I had to apply extra foundation to make my skin seem less pale, and then walked down to the great hall with Selena. The other two had understood what happened wanted to be kept a secret between me and Selena, so they didn’t bother us to tell them. Once we got to the great hall, Selena and I sat down on the edge, ignoring Malfoy completely. We went through our breakfast slowly, and went through our timetables.
I had ancient runes first and then charms and then two free periods if I counted break as a free period. I had charms again after that, and then divination and then the rest of the day was free. I didn’t feel like going to charms, especially seeing as if I went to the first charms lesson then I’d have to go to the second one today because we’d continue with the 1st lesson’s work, and there was no point in going for the 1st lesson and not to second because I wouldn’t have finished the work, so I made my way to ancient runes with Selena
Selena took her seat next to me and we whizzed through ancient runes, with me not taking any of it in, before I walked to the school grounds while everyone else went to charms. I figured that it would be better if we went to the common room so that there would be a lesser risk of us getting caught, so I trekked my way through the crowds of students hurrying to their lessons, and then got to the common room. When I got there, Draco was sitting on a chair near the fire, and looked up as he saw me. I tensed, not knowing where to go to get away from him, and he came towards me quickly before I could come up with a plan.
“Maia” he breathed, his hand coming up to my face, and I flinched. Draco looked ashamed “I realised you weren’t kissing him back yesterday… I’m so sorry I put you through that” Draco whispered. My eyes reflected terror as I looked at him
“I’m so scared of you” I whispered, shivering slightly. Draco looked taken aback
“What?” he gasped
“What you did to Blaise… I’m so much weaker than him… if you upset with me as well-” I explained
“No I would never do that to you! You know that! I love you Maia! I wouldn’t ever even think of hurting you!” he reasoned. I shook my head and ran away from him. I wanted to get away from him. Far, far away.
