Hotel California

I felt like someone was moving me, let me rephrase that… like someone was moving beside me. I was still half asleep. I moved too, stretching a little.

I opened my eyes and I just saw Mikey’s shirt. My head was on top of his chest. He was still sleeping. I felt every breath he took. I heard his heart beat. It was the most relaxing thing I ever felt.

Mikey look so beautiful, with his hair hiding half his face… so calm. I smiled and hugged him to me. Feeling happy just to have a moment of peace beside him.
Suddenly someone knocked hard on my door.

"Alexandra is ten o’clock you better get up" mom yelled at my door.
Mikey opened his eyes suddenly and saw that I was watching him.
"What are you doing?"
"Just admiring the view" I said smiling. "Good day"
"Good morning" he grinned too. "Comfy?"
"Very" i hugged him tighter. "You don’t mind do you?"
"not really. I’m pretty comfortable too. But your mother might break down the door if don’t go down"
"Let her do it, I want to see her face when she sees us like this"
We laughed and I buried my face in his chest.
"I want to sleep! I’m tired"
"I don’t know, maybe it has to do with getting home at 4 am"
"Shut up. It was your idea"
"I’ m not complaining"
"Then let’s sleep for a while more?"
"Let’s get a coffee, ill make it"
"Yes! I want coffee"

That coffee was the only reason I got up from my bed. We went down to the kitchen and Mikey made coffee for the two of us.

"Simply delicious"
"Thanks" said Mikey smiling "hey I’m going to take this pajama off. And get my clothes on. Ill be right back"

Mikey left the kitchen and I went into the living room to finish my coffee. Mom had already left. The only thing my mom liked from my dads death, was that check she received monthly, that she ran to spend with her friends.

I sat down in own of the sofa burying my feet under me. I was really comfortable. I heard my cell phone go off in my bedroom. I ran to answer it and I opened the door and saw Mikey jump from the scare gave him.

"Dammit I’m sorry"

I got out and closed the door. For seconds my head didn’t really grasp what I just saw. And when it did… I blushed. I had seen Mikey naked. Not completely but still. And he looked good without a shirt, if you ask me.

"Can I come in?" I asked knocking on the door.
"Yeah come in"

I went inside and I found Mikey sitting on the bed tying up his shoes.

"Hey, sorry for not knocking before coming in. I wanted to get my cell phone"
"I know, its okay, its not like you saw me naked or anything"

We laughed and I took my cell phone.
"Tom"
"What could he possibly want this early?"
"Well if you consider the Fact That its nearly mid day, well maybe anything."
I looked for his number and I called him.
"Hello?"
"Yeah hey, it’s Alex"
"Hi Alex"
"Yes I’m sorry I couldn’t reach my phone in time. What did you want? "
"Its okay, I just wanted to know if you where ready to go"
"Ready?"
"Yes, to go out today… did you forget?"
"Oh right. I’m sorry I forgot. Well if you give me like half an hour to take a shower and all that jazz, you can come over"
"Alright, ill see you in a while then. Bye"
"Bye"

"What happened?"
"I just forgot we where going out today"
"Like a date?"
"Nah I don’t think so, maybe only because of my birthday"
"That means I have to go"
"No don’t go, stay until he gets here… please?"
"Okay then"
"Ok, ill just go take a shower. Feel free to do whatever" I smiled while I took some of my clothes to change.
"all right. Ill just play here"

Awe… like a little kid. So adorable.
I took my shower and changed into fresh clothes. I went back to my room and when I opened the door Mikey looked at me and smiled.

"You look cute without makeup too"
"Thanks" I answered blushing a little "what are you doing?"
"Trying to beat slash, but it’s kinda hard"
"Sounds interesting" i started to brush my hair "you need to teach me how to play. I suck. "
"i already told you, you need to practice. " Mikey said while he battled with slash, and i was trying to battle with myself, trying to cover the dark rings under my eyes with makeup.
When I finally did Mikey yelled.
"I did it" he had finally won over slash.

Before I was done getting ready the bell rang.
"Ill go open" said Mikey.
He went outside my room to open the door and minutes later he came back.
"Its tom" he said with a little sad tone.
"Can you tell him ill be right down"
"Sure"
I finished up and went down.
I saw them both sitting down in different couches. None of them speaking. Talk about cutting tension with a knife.

So I had to break the ice.

"Hey tom" I said trying to smile.
"Hey Alex, you ready?"
"Yeah, sure"
"Well" interrupted Mikey "i think i have to go, see you later"
Mikey took all his stuff and started to walk to the door, but seeing as he didn’t really said goodbye I ran after him.

"Not so fast" I smiled and hugged him "thanks for everything Mikey… last night was great (double meaning anyone?) Well, all of yesterday was great. Thanks for giving me the best birthday of my life"
"Its okay. You know I World anything for you" he whispered in my ear. "I know you World do the same"
"I love you" I kissed his cheek.
"I love you too" he hugged me again. "Later"

Mikey left and I went back to tom.

"I see you had a great time yesterday"
"Yeah it was great"
"Well. One of my purposes today is to have fun. Maybe it’s the day after your birthday and I’ m not Mikey but ill try. "
"You’re dumb" I said smiling "let’s go"

I left my mom a note, not really telling her where I was going, just telling her I was coming back tonight.

We spend a great afternoon. We went to the movies and to the little cafeteria we liked. And now we were having some sweet and typical coffee.

"Did your mom really ask that?"
"Yes. She asked if I had a girlfriend again or something. Because I’m never home. If she knew that it’s because I don’t want to be there"
"Yeah. Like I was your mysterious girlfriend" I said laughing.
"Why couldn’t you be my girlfriend? Would it be wrong? What if we tried? "
"Tom, I told you before. I don’t want to ruin this friendship. Just look at us, we where having fun before touching this topic…" I said but I was interrupted by someone behind us. Who just coughed.
