"Happy birthday Mikey!" I said when I saw Mikey at school, hugging him tight hanging from his neck "I love you" I smiled and let go of his neck.
"Thanks, and you know I love you too Alex" he blushed a little and asked, "What do you have there?"
In my hands I had a gift bag.
"It’s your present dumb ass. Here open it! " I gave him the bag and he opened it.
"Oh my god! Thank you Alex!" He hugged me again.

Yeah, that morning I had gone by McDonalds and got him a happy meal and a McDonald’s coffee… and a play land ball. I had evaded the mad employee and stole a ball! Sue me.
"It’s the sweetest thing anyone has given me Alex"
"I know you would like it"
"Like it? I love it"
"I like making you happy. Hey ill be right back"
"But we have class"
"I know but I have to go"
To the bathroom. Eeeek!

In my hurried journey to the bathroom, I had like 5 minutes left before the bell rang to my first class, I bumped into… Tom. Lucky me.

"Hey Alex"
"Hello Tom, hey can we like talk later?"
"Yeah, but I have to talk to you now"
"But Tom" I said a little annoyed; I was eyeing the bathroom door… so close yet oh-so-far. "Is it really important?”
"Yeah, a lot"
"Then come here! "

I took his arm and ran to the bathroom.
"Alex, it’s the girl’s bathroom!"
"I know I can’t keep it any longer" I walked into one of the stalls leaving Tom outside of it of course.
"Okay talk. "
"Well" I guess he was trying to find the right words.
"I'm listening. "
"The thing is that I was thinking about the other day, when I kissed you, and I think I rushed it… that I pressured you and I think its best if we kinda forgot about it. Like you said, we shouldn’t ruin our friendship that you know grew in such short time so… "His frase was cut short by the sound of the toilet flushing. He kept quiet and moments later I opened the stall door.
I walked out and washed my hands, without uttering a single word, I took some paper towels and started drying my hands, I looked at him.
"Yeah I think it’s for best, for both our sakes. "
"Friends?" he extended his hand towards me.
"Yeah" I took his hand and suddenly the bell rang.
"I have class!" I said and ran out the girl’s bathroom leaving him in there. Awkward much?

The classes were over and unfortunately I still hadn’t seen Tom, I needed to apologize for the bathroom incident.
Mikey and I were walking to his house. It was a Friday so we had plans to celebrate his birthday the whole day which included a sleepover at his house. But before that needed to go home to get my stuff.
"Mikey you go ahead I need to go home and get something but ill be right there"
"Okay, just hurry up"

I rushed home and I took my stuff and when I was ready to go back to Mikey a car parked in from of my house. It was Tom. Was that kid stalking me or what?

"Hey Alex"
"Tom" I said in a rush "Sorry about the bathroom thingy. Didn’t mean to leave you there"
"Ah its okay I didn’t really stick around to get caught"
"So, what are you doing here?”
"I hmm... bought something for Mikey, but I didn’t want to give it to him so could you do it? Please? "
"All right, but you should try to get close to him"
"I know. But I'm not sure he wants that. So meanwhile I need that favor"
"Okay ill tell him it’s yours"
"Where you just leaving? Do you need a ride? "
"Yeah! That’d be great, I have so many shit here it would take me hours to get to Mickey’s"

We got in the car and Tom drove to mikey’s house. He stopped the car and we said goodbye.
"Thanks Tom"
"no thanks to you for helping me with this. You’re the best"
I was going to kiss his cheek but he was fast and kissed my lips instead.
"You deserved that"
"I thought it was clear that we wouldn’t…"
"I know I know, I couldn’t help it"
"All right lover boy, I have to go bye"
"Bye"

I got out the car and Tom drove away. I deserved that! Yeaaah right. Cheater.
Mikey and I were eating in his room. We had ordered pizza and I made a cake. His favorite dark chocolate.
"It was great Alex. I think you love me a lot to have been able to make a cake without burning down your house. And it actually tastes good.
"I don’t know if you take that as an insult or as a compliment, but I’m damn proud that you liked it.”
Resides that I had given him a card and made him a stuffed toy. It was a black bunny, and his name was Michael like his daddy.

That whole afternoon was perfect we watched movies, we talked like mad parrots on crack and in the end we feel asleep, both of us in his bed hugging and in the middle… baby Michael.
I know cute scene like a little perfect family. Except none of us were bunnies so baby Michael was adopted but WHATEVER.

And to tell you the truth, sleeping with Mikey wasn’t half bad, it was getting interesting.
