Field of Shadows

"Matt! My sister-in-laws are here." I yelled from downstairs.

I turned back to Mia, Brittany, Allison, Debbie, and Esther.

"How have you all been?" I asked.

"I've been good." Mia said, laughing and shrugging. "The kids are getting old. Especially Brianna."

"Is everything going okay with her?" I asked.

"She is getting to be like I'm better than you and stuck up." Mia said, sighing. "I get frustrated with her and she runs to her dad."

"That's not good." I said.

The girls and I continued talking for a while, then moved into the kitchen.

"Let's start cooking."

I made the mashed potatoes.

Esther made the sweet potatoes.

Mia made the cranberry sauce.

Brittany made the gravy.

Allison made the stuffing.

Debbie made the green bean casserole.

And what was left over I made it.

We all finished and the guys and kids arrived.

"Anna." They all yelled and gave me the biggest bear hug ever.

"I've missed you little sis." Donny said, squeezing me.

"You don't call anymore." Mitch said, punching my arm.

"Don't punch me." I said, punching him back.

"I should kick your ass for not calling us." Robbie said.

"Shut up." I said, glaring at him. "Before I kick your ass."

"I still love you twin." John said, hugging and kissing my forehead. "Now. The real reason we are here."

All the guys turned to look at me.

"Where is he?" They said together.

"Oh my god. Relax." I said. "He should be down here. Hold on."

I went upstairs and into our room.

"Matt. Come on." I said, looking at my sitting boyfriend. "Everyone is waiting for you."

"Babe. What if they don't like me?" Matt asked.

"Oh come on." I said, walking over to him and grabbing his arm, pulling him up. "You will be just fine baby. I promise."

"Okay." Matt said, kissing me and taking my hand.

We went down stairs and everyone starred at us.

"Oh. My. God." Brianna screamed. "You're M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold."

"Yeah." Matt said. "I am."

"Guys this is Matt." I said. "Matt this is, Donny, Mia, Brianna, Marcus, Julie, Samantha, Mitch, Brittany, Eric, Savannah, Caleb, Allison, Robbie, Debbie, John, and Esther."

"It's nice to meet you all." Matt said.

"So Matt. What are your intentions with my sister?" John asked.

"John!!" I said.

"What?"

"You are just like dad." I said, laughing. "Wait. Where is dad?"

"I don't know." John said.

"I'm right here." Dad said, coming down.

"I found him." I said, laughing and hugging him.

"Are we ready to eat?" Marcus asked. "I'm hungry."

"Yes we are." I said.

We went to the dining room and we all sat down.

Matt sat on my right, John on my left.

"Let's say grace." My dad said.

We all joined hands and my dad said grace.

After we all started eating and all my brothers asked Matt questions.

It went really well actually.

I expected my brothers to be really mean to Matt.

But they weren't.

They must like him.

We all finished eating and everyone helped cleaning up.

When you have more people, you get things done faster.

Which is a good thing.

We finished and everyone sat down in the living room.

I sat on Matt's lap since there wasn't enough seats.

"Anna, can I steal you for a minute?" Esther said, grabbing my arm.

We went into the kitchen.

"What's up?" I asked.

"No one else knows, because I wanted to tell you first." Esther said.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm pregnant." She said.

I let out a small scream and hugged her.

"No way." I said. "That's so awesome! I'm happy for you and John."

Esther and I go way back.

We've known each other since high school and since she started dating John.

I like Esther.

A lot.

She is like the sister I've never had.

"That is such great news Esther." I said.

"I'm telling John tonight, but I just wanted to you first." She said, hugging me again. "So Matt is a cutie."

I started blushing.

"I know he is." I said. "He is just so special to me."

"John said he really likes him. Which surprises me." Esther said, laughing.

"Wow." I said. "That is so weird to hear you say that. I expected him to be the more stand offish one."

"Look at them now." Esther said, looking in the living room.

Matt and John were laughing and talking.

"I'm so glad they are talking." I said, smiling. "That makes me feel really good."

"We better go back." Esther said. "They might get worried."

I laughed and we went back to the living room.

My family, Matt, and I continued talking for a while, until it was late and everyone had to go.

John and I planned to go to lunch tomorrow before he has to go to work.

Once everyone left Matt and I went upstairs and I collapsed on the bed.

"I feel you baby." Matt said, laying next to me.

"John likes you." I said.

"Really?" Matt asked.

"Yeah. Like a lot." I said.

"That's your twin right?" I nodded my head. "Your other brothers said they like me too."

"I told you may family would love you." I said.

"I love you." Matt said.

"I love you too." I said, scooting over into Matt's arms and kissing his lips.
