Field of Shadows

I parked the car in the MGM Grand Hotel.

A huge tour bus is parked next to us.

I got out and as did my friends.

"Damn Anna!" Bruce yelled. "You speed."

"I do not!" I said.

"Yes you do!!" Daniel said.

"No." I said. "I was only going 90."

"More like 120." Mikaela mumbled.

"Ugh, no!" I said. "That was only to pass that guy."

"Uhh huh. Sure." Derek said.

"Let's quit arguing and go check in." Bruce said.

"Yeah. No sense in arguing!" Blake mumbled.

"Agreed." I said, handing my keys to the valet man.

We grabbed our bags and went into the hotel.

For being September it wasn't as packed as I expected it to be.

That was a shock.

I walked up to the front desk.

"Hello. Welcome to the MGM Grand. I am Felicity. How may I help you?"

"Hi. I have a reservation for Anna-Sophia McCauley." I said.

Felicity looked at her computer and started typing some stuff in.

"May I see your id?"

I got in my purse and pulled out my id.

"Thank you." She said

I waited for her to finished.

"Alright. Everything seems to check out fine. Rooms 0125 and 0126. Here is 3 card keys. Enjoy your stay."

"Thank you."

I took the card keys and went to my friends.

"Let's go." I said.

We went to the elevators and looked for where our floor was.

We got on an elevator.

"Wait, hold the door!" A guy yelled.

I pressed the hold open button and 5 guys got on.

We all squeezed in.

Not gonna lie.

These guys were pretty fine.

All tattoos and muscles.

"Hey thanks!" The one that shouted said to me.

"You're welcome." I said, smiling.

"I'm surprised that 11 people with luggage fit in here." Derek said.

"Right." The shortest of the 5 said.

Blonde and black hair, brown eyes. One sleeve.

"It's hot!" Mikaela said.

"That's because I'm here." The tallest one said.

Black hair, blue eyes. Sleeves.

All of us laughed.

The hottest one kept looking at me.

Tall, sleeves, muscles, green eyes, dimples.

S-E-X-Y as fuck.

Time to make a move.

"I'm Anna." I said, sticking my hand out.

"Matt." He said.

"I'm Jimmy!" The tallest one said.

"Johnny." Short one.

"Daniel."

"Derek."

"Brian." Longed haired one.

"Zacky." Snake bites.

"Bruce."

"Blake."

"Mikaela."

"Nice to meet you guys." I said, smiling.

"You too." Brian said.

"So, are you here on vacation or something else?" Matt asked.

"Kinda sorta." I said. "You?"

"Same."

"That's cool. Where are you guys from?"

"Huntington Beach." Jimmy said.

"No fucking way." Daniel said. "Us too."

"Seriously?" Zacky asked.

"Yeah man." Derek said.

"We were born and raised there." Brian said.

"Huh. Such a small world." Bruce said.

Everyone was silent after that.

I could still feel Matt's eyes on me.

The elevator finally stopped and we all got off.

We walked from the elevator lobby into the hotel.

Matt and the boys went one way, while we went the other.

"Well it was nice meeting you guys." Mikaela said.

"Yeah. You too!" They all said in unison.

We all went our separate ways.

"Anna?"

I turned around and Matt was coming up to me.

"Yeah?" I asked. "You guys go ahead."

My friends nodded and continued on.

Leaving Matt and I alone.

"Umm, do you think I could have your number?" Matt asked.

"Uhh, sure." I said. "Do you have a paper or something?"

"Yeah. Here's my phone." Matt said, taking out his phone. An iPhone.

I took the phone and put my number in.

"Here you go." I said, handing him the phone.

"Alrighty then. I'll call you or something and we'll have a drink." He said, smiling.

"Yeah. Sounds great." I smiled back.

"Bye Anna."

"Bye Matt." I said, turning around.

I went to our room and smiled.

This is going to be a fun trip.
