If We Ever Meet Again

Two

“I usually don’t do this,” Ellie admitted softly as she lay stretched out in the bed in her hotel room, her head resting on Jack’s bare chest as his strong arms were wrapped around her much smaller body.

As soon as they boarded the elevator they’d been all over each other and they hadn't stopped before their clothes were shed, a trail of them starting right inside the door of the hotel room, and they were tangled up in each other’s limbs in the large bed…

It was the truth, she usually didn’t do things like this – this being pick up guys in bars and proceed to take them back to her hotel room. She’d done it once before, many years prior, but usually she just let them with her phone number after making out in the bar or wherever they were and disappeared with her friends, sometimes hoping he’d call.

But it would be telling a lie if she said that she regretted it…

Not only had it been good, real good, but laying there, legs tangled up together it just didn’t feel wrong. Not like it had the last time she’d had what could only be described as a one-night-stand.

“Me neither,” Jack replied equally as softly, pulling her closer against himself and gently brushing his lips against the top of her head, ignoring the way the tip of his ears burned like they always did when he wasn’t completely honest.

“Good,” she mumbled. “That we cleared that up I mean,” she laughed slightly, her warm breath tickling his bare chest.

Not replying, Jack simply ran his hand up the curve of her back.

Tilting her head upwards, her clear blue eyes locked with his darker ones and just looking at each other for a moment, they were soon locked at the lips once again, Ellie straddling his hips as his hands moved up her sides, pulling her closer to him…

Sitting in the middle of the bed, her blonde hair spilling around her shoulders and the smooth sheets covering her naked curves as she watched Jack moved around the unfamiliar hotel room, picking up his clothes, Ellie could barely keep from smiling. Her knees pulled up, she rested her arms on them and blushed brightly pink as he caught her eye with his now familiar blue ones.

Ducking her head and burying her face in her arms, she really couldn’t keep from smiling as she looked back up and found him half-dressed as he emerged from the brightly light bathroom. His tie hanging over his broad shoulders and the top buttons on his shirt undone he looked hotter than any man should be allowed to…

“This was fun,” he smiled as he shrugged on his jacket.

“Yeah, it was,” she nodded, watching as he walked around the bed, an unreadable spark in his eye. “What are you doing?”

“Nothing,” he replied simply before reaching out and gently grasping her chin between his thumb and forefinger, tilting her head upwards slightly and brushing his lips against hers in a slow kiss.

“Nothing is a lot better than I remember,” she smirked against his lips, her eyes closed. “Much better…”

A few more kisses and she settled back in the bed as he walked back across the room, the smile across her lips refusing to go away as her blush deepened when he sent her another wide smile, showing off his slight dimples as he did. “I’ll see you around.”

Watching him walk out of the room, a slight strut in his step, she decided that those were the perfect parting words after a one-night-stand.

Sighing softly, she fell back against the pillows, her hair fawning out beneath her head. Staying there for a few moments, she wrapped the smooth sheets tighter around her naked body before shuffling out of bed and grabbing some clothes from her suitcase on her way over to the bathroom.

It was only nine or so in the morning, but she was surprisingly awake and aching slightly, besides, if she knew her friends as well as she thought she did, at least one of them would appear in the room in the matter of minutes.

Turning on the water in the shower she let it heat up before she dropped the sheet onto the tiled floor and stepped into the shower with frosted glass walls.

It didn’t take even ten minutes till the door to the hotel was pulled open and Ellie heard a very familiar voice even above the noise of the shower.

“Bathroom!” she cracked the glass door open just a smidge and called out to her friend who was undoubtedly looking for her.

“So, what happened?” Tessa asked cheerily as she bounded into the steamy bathroom, a wide grin plastered across her lips.

“It’s not exactly brain surgery,” Ellie rolled her eyes at her friend who couldn’t see it. “I picked up a guy in a bar and brought him back to my room, figure it out,” she smiled as she squeezed her eyes shut and rinsed the shampoo from her long hair.

“Was it good?” Tessa asked cheekily, lifting herself up on the counter by the sink. “Cause he looked liked it’d be good.”

“Tess…” Ellie squirmed slightly; this was a road she really didn’t want to go down.

“Don’t go all shy on me now,” Tessa ordered her. “I know everything about you,” she pointed out.

“It was good,” Ellie could feel herself blushing even under the spray of hot water. “It was great actually.”

Waiting for a continuation, Tessa frowned annoyed as nothing came. “You can’t just say that you had amazing sex, which I'm pretty sure I heard by the way, and then just leave me hanging,” she exclaimed, her voice reverberating off the tiles in the small room.

“You heard me?” Ellie cried out as she pulled the door open and stuck her head out, a look of disbelief and humiliation across her face.

“The whole floor heard you,” Tessa rolled her eyes in a teasing matter, “I never knew you were that loud,” she added with a pointed look and a smirk, they had after all been roommate for over a year. “But enough about that, details woman, give me the details,” she insisted grinning.

“Now I'm definitely not sharing,” Ellie stated frankly as she pulled the door shut and finished her shower before reaching out and grabbing a towel from the heated towel rack. Wrapping it tightly around herself she stepped out of the shower, her dripping hair sticking to the skin of her shoulders as she glared at her friend.

“You have to share,” Tessa whined. “It’s in the rules of being best friends,” she pointed out with a hopeful smile.

“Where?” Ellie asked despite knowing better, suppressing the urge to once again roll her eyes at her friend.

“Right between where you have to bail me out of jail and you always come with ice cream when something bad happens,” Tessa smiled innocently.

“Right, there…” Ellie nodded slowly.

“So are you going to spill?” Tessa raised her eyebrow at her friend as she leaned back against the large mirror, clearly showing that she wasn’t going anywhere.

Not replying, Ellie decided to simply ignore her friend as she grabbed another towel and began drying her hair.

“Come on!” Tessa exclaimed, throwing her hands out and leaning her head back against the mirror. “Don’t leave me hanging!”

“It was…” Ellie trailed off as she stopped in the middle of drying her hair, towel still in her hand, something wistful passing over her features as she stared off into space, the previous night flashing through her mind.

“Sometimes a face speaks a thousand words,” Tessa nodded slowly as she watched her friend. “No need to say anything more,” she stated as she jumped off the counter. “It was clearly something to write home about,” she added with a smirk, patting her friend on the shoulder as she walked out of the bathroom. “Champ.”

Looking after her friend, a satisfied smile across her lips, Ellie shook her head slightly. There really were no words to describe the sex they’d had, well beyond fucking great anyway…

Finishing her hair before she quickly slipped on her underwear and forced herself into a pair of tight jeans, she pulled her hair into a messy bun and quickly brushed her teeth. Adding a quick coat of mascara to her naturally long lashes she walked out of the bathroom and picked up a shirt before asking her friend if she was ready to head down for breakfast.

Traveling down in the same elevator as the previous night, she blushed slgightly as beying R-rated images flashed before her eyes.

There was only one thing she could find that was wrong with that kind of sex, that kind of amazing sex, and it was that you might never have it again.

Especially when it was just a one-night-stand…
