Indestructabe Part 2: Realizing What I've Done

I woke up with the sun shining in my face and a burning sensation in my shoulder. I opened my eyes and seen Meg laying down beside me and a bandage on my shoulder. I sighed and started to get up but felt someone pushing me back down.
"You need to rest."
"I'll be fine Zacky. Can you take Meg?" I said and he nodded. I watched as he gently picked Meg up but unfortunately she woke. She seen me and wanted down.
"Put me down Uncle Zacky!" He put Meg down and she came back over to me. I sat up and she climbed up on the couch next to me.
"Mommy?"
"Yes sweetheart?" I said smiling.
"Are you going to be alright?" Her eyes were filled with sadness and it broke my heart. I put my arm around her.
"I'm going to be just fine." She smiled up and me and I kissed her forehead.
"Have you eaten?" She shook her head no.
"I'll fix you something honey." I said getting up.
"I thought I said rest."
"Zacky, I can still do things." I said.
"I know but you know how Brian and Matt get."
"I know but dont worry. I'll can take care of them." I said smiling and he shook his head. Meg followed me into the kitchen and I made Meg something simple for breakfast. I watched as she ate and when she finished I cleaned up the bowl and put it back in the cabinet. I took Meg back into the living room and I sat down while she watched TV. My arm started hurting and buring really bad.
"Meg?" I said.
"What?"
"Go get Uncle Zacky...hurry." I said and she got up runing upstairs. Minutes later she came down with Zacky.
"What's wrong?"
"Pain...My arm is fucking burning." I said holding my shoulder. Zacky left and came back with pills and a first aid kit. He sat down next to me and took off the bandage and opened an alcohol pad wiping my wound. It burnt and hurt like a son of a bitch. I winced as he finished cleaning it.
"Did you get the bullet out?" I asked.
"Yeah but Matt had to knock your ass out. You wouldnt stay fucking still long enough. Your screaming was scaring Meg."
"Damn. Where's Andy?" I asked again as he wrapped my arm.
"Upstairs taking a nap. She was up all night watching over you to make sure you were alright." Zacky handed me the pills and I took them. The pain was already going away and I was getting very tired.
"Take Meg upstairs." I said and he nodded.
"Zacky..."
"Yeah?" he said turning back around.
"Thank you." He nodded as he walked up the stairs with Meg. The medicine took affect and I fell off to sleep.
"You need to rest."
