What About Us?

One.

Sitting on the plan to New York, I thought about exactly what I was doing. The minute he said he needed me, I was there. It was like I had no control over what my heart and brain did. It’s like they took over and automatically they wanted Joe. Which I guess I couldn’t blame them. I hadn’t seen him in a year and a half, it’s like they had to see him. The second I saw his name, I jumped on a plane to New York.

New York of all places. Half way across the bloody country. A 5 hour flight stuck next to an old lady who keeps mentioning her 13 grandchildren. While a loving couple keeps making out in the seats in front of me. Then I think back to then, when we couldn’t stay away from each other. Then we broke up and the easiest thing was to move half way across the country. Maybe not the easiest, but the most logical. Right?
