Familiar Breath of My Old Lies
Chapter Thirty-Eight
After therapy, Brian and I went back to the apartment. It was pretty quiet for us as we always talk.
“Brian, what’s wrong?” I asked.
He shrugged, “Nothing….”
“You sure?”
“Yeah…”
“When do you want me to move out there with you?” I asked.
“Whenever you get too… I mean, the therapist said you were going to be going for another two weeks….so maybe after that….”
“Okay…”
“By the way, I have to go back soon, you know that right?” Brian asked.
“Yeah, I know. I knew it would come up sooner or later….”
“I love you Delilah, you know that, right?”
“Yeah, I know, I love you too.”
The next few days went by fast and Brian left to go back to California. I would see him soon anyway. He was going to come back to help me move my stuff. Kelsey was going to keep the apartment and just get a new room mate.
I had started packing random things I wouldn’t need right now so there wouldn’t be so much stuff later on.
I had my last session with the therapist today. He things it’s a great idea for me to move away from here. I really do need a change, but I’m going to miss cheerleading. It’s all I’ve ever known.
