You Do Not See the Man In the Corner
Time to Talk, To Explain, and Ask
Gerard didn't see Aaron for the following four days. Well, it was a Friday now and, Gerard was determined to get some answers. He waited for Aaron in the common room. He'd already written it out:
First, he'd call out her name as she passed by.
Second, if that worked, he'd invite her over to sit by him.
Third, they'd get some things very clear between the two of them.
He heard footsteps in the south passage, the direction he was certain Aaron would be coming from. Sure enough, she appeared. Her eyes were damp, her cheeks poofy and red, and her hair was a stringy mess...but in a cute way.
Gerard called out for her. Aaron turned and faced him. "Come here, please. I...I need to talk to you." he said to her.
Aaron sniffled and tried to dry her cheeks with her sleeves. "Okay." She said, sitting beside him.
As soon as she did, Gerard pulled her in and held her close. She buried her face in his neck, as Gerard wrapped his arms around her. "I'm so sorry..." Aaron sobbed.
"For what?" Gerard asked, trying to sooth her.
"For this" Aaron said, before pulling back and kissing Gerard's soft, red, smooth, pouty lips. Gerard leaned back against the couch, pinned by Aaron's embrace. When she pulled away from his lips, Gerard spoke in a cracky voice. "You had to appologize for that?"
"Yes. Because, as I told you, we can't be friends. I really like you, Gerard. But it's just not safe..." Aaron said. "If anything happened to-"
Gerard cut her off, leaning her back against the armrest of the couch. He held her in his arms, in a gentle embrace, and passionatley kissed her. "I know. I understand. But, you're mine. My creation. Mine forever. And, believe me, I'll never let ANYTHING happen to you."
