You're My One and Only

You're my one and only. You're the only one that I need. You're my whole world, the whole meaning for my existence. You give sustenance to the breath that falls from my lips. You provide the electric pulse that drives my heartbeat, and in return my heart beats only for you. You give me a reason to really smile, a thing I normally would be pressed to find. I can't live without you.

I don't understand why you've grown to mean so much to me. After all, you're only human. How can one person mean so much to another? I can't explain it, but I know it's true. You mean more to me than you could ever understand. To me, you are the sun, the stars, the dark expanse of the night sky. You are the smell of fresh flowers at the birth of spring, and the crunch of fallen leaves in the autumn. You are my seasons, my day and my night.

Through all of this, I am trying to convey one message: I love you. You're my one and only, baby. You're the only one that I need.
