Sequel: Wish You Were Here.

Band on the Run.

Achilles Last Stand.

I felt a strange sensation in my stomach. Was it guilt? I hadn't told the others of my second scholarship, which I would have to choose between the two next year. Nicole and Roger were graduating this year and Syd and I would be staying behind for our final year of school.

But when my mother told me I had another scholarship...from PARIS! I couldn't believe it. My mother had been teaching me how to cook and bake all my life, it finally caught up to me. I could go learn French cuisine in Paris, if I wished.

The other scholarship, much to my parents dislike, was a chance to go to Camberwell Art School, with Syd, to study arts and painting. Him and I spent a lot of time drawing, painting, sculpting...whatever felt great and artistic.

I had to choose between two very amazing things in life and none of my friends knew about it. I was honestly afraid. So very afraid...

"C'mon Cheryl! Let's go!" Syd shouted with enthusiasm.

We both began to run towards Nicole's place. The field behind her house, where we first did shrooms, was still our smoking spot. Our place to hang. Just us four. Or sometimes just Nicole and I.

When we got there, Nicole and Roger were already wrapped up in each other and kissing.

"Oi! Have a little decency, wouldya?" I yelled towards them, making them break apart.

Syd and I sat down next to each other, facing the lovely couple. I wondered if I should tell them before the shrooms trip or not. I figured it would be best if I told them before.

Although, before I knew it, the bag of shrooms was being passed to me and there was no way in hell that I could refuse that. I began taking as much as I could, passing the bag to Nicole. I knew that in a matter of twenty minutes, I'd start giggling like a mad woman.

Nicole and I set up her old tent, that surprisingly could still fit all of us, and began speaking of the future and what would happen after all of us had left our homes.

"I think that Syd and I are gonna start this amazing band." Roger boasted, giggling and nudging Syd.
"That sounds like a mighty fine idea, Mr. Waters." Syd giggled at Roger.

I never realized how they had been spending a lot of time together, playing guitar together. Roger liked playing bass a lot more, though. They seemed to have some kind of musical, unspoken bond between them.

What if they did end up starting an amazing band?
