I'd End My Days With You In A Hail Of Bullets...

~Gerard’s Point of View~
“You love her don’t you?” My kid brother asked me after I had revealed to him what happened on that morning of the day that changed our lives.
“Yeah, and I just now realize it…I’m so fuckin stupid Mikey.” I ran a hand through my greasy hair and knew I had to go find her and tell her the truth.
“So what are you going to do about it?”
“I need to go find her and bring her back.”
“She won’t come back as long as Jessica is here.” He’s right, shit. What am I going to do?
“Then we’ll make another safe house.” I ran up the stairs and into Jessica’s room, she was still in the coma. It was as if she was in a sweet slumber of which she did not want to come out of. I held her hand and stroked her cheek like I had countless times before. I remember hearing somewhere that it helps to talk to people in comas, that they can still hear,
“Jessie, how could you do that to me? How could you use me like that and keep me away from the one person that truly cared about me.” I knew she couldn’t answer me but it still hurt that she did this to me; she made me fall head over heels for her and she was just using me to make Kira Jealous. I almost hope you never wake up but then you wouldn’t be able to see or endure what we are going through just to survive. Instead I hope you wake up, get brutally bit and infected then I hope you burn in hell. I got up abruptly and took one last glance before allowing myself to completely rid myself of Jessica, memories and all. I saw the bigger man sitting on the kitchen counter with the little girl as I came downstairs.
“Trent?”
“Yeah?”
“I need you to do me a solid.”
“What’s that?”
“I need you to be head of this place; that means you’re in charge of this safe house; those who enter, and those who dwell within it that are not infected.”
“It’d be an honor. I’ll take care of this place. You’re going to find Kira aren’t you?”
“Yes, and were going to make another safe house and look for more supplies and more survivors. We’ll keep in contact through the radio and we’ll stop by every once in a while to check in on you all. Keep safe.” I offered my hand and we shook hands.
“See you soon.” He said as Ray, Mikey and I climbed into the hum-v.

~Kira’s Point of View~
“Frank!” I could see that Frank was struggling to stand against the zombies that were surrounding us from all sides outside the supermarket we had decided to check out. I stuck another bullet in the head of another infected and ran to help Frank.
“Get in the car!” I yelled to the survivors that we were trying to help; it was a family of five; the mom and dad, and three kids. I turned to see if they had made it to the SUV and saw that the youngest child, he must have been five, had tripped and fallen. I saw the father had tried to get his kid and at only an arm’s length did he get to his son before a zombie pulled him back and bit him. The zombie tore into the man’s neck; blood poured out as a vein was pulled out and apart from the meat of his neck and chunks of his flesh flew out, you could almost see bone in his neck. The man’s eyes rolled back and mouth was agape as if to scream but he only gurgled with the amount of blood that filled his throat. The horror in the little boy’s face and his shrill scream was enough to make me want to give up, curl into a ball and cry. The zombie then tried to go after the little boy,
“Oh shit, Frank! Get the kid!” I yelled because I knew he could run faster than I could. I kept the swarm of zombies back as I saw Frank scoop up the little boy in his arms and run to the SUV and get in with the kid. I knew I was cutting it close; the infected were getting so close, some of them would try to grab me before I shot them between the eyes. My heart was beating the fastest I have ever felt. My gun clicked and I noticed my clip (gun ammunition) ran out and my pockets were empty,
“So this is the end…” I whispered dropping my gun, closing my eyes and feeling a sudden forceful pull on my arm and I braced myself for the pain that was to come…
