Crank it up!! (Party Part Three)

“Is everything Okay?” John asked probably wondering what the heck happened between Emily and Carrie.
“Everything is perfectly fine” She smiled looking towards the dance floor, she hasn’t realised how long it had been since she last danced that minute. Emily watched as they all interacted, Garrett looked really down for some reason,
“Hey are you okay?” She said gently he looked at her,
“Yea I’m fine” He answered gruffly.
“Oh if I have a penny every time someone said that when something was wrong I’d be a billionaire” She smiled but he was not amused.
“Garrett what’s wrong?” she put a hand on his arm,
“You’ll laugh like the other guys” He whispered.
“No I won’t” She assured him,
“My grandmother is really sick, I think she’s dying” He said as a drunken couple stumbled near them, the music was really loud.
“Oh I’m so sorry Garrett I know there are no right things to say but I’m here for you” She smiled,
“Thanks Emily I came here hoping to forget...”
“But you couldn’t which is fine Garrett, but I tell you what remember your grandma as she was not how she currently is okay?”
“Yea...”
“Good now go dance” she pushed him into Talia who immediately pulled him towards the dance floor.
“Hey this is a party!” Pat yelled.
“Thank you Sherlock” Kennedy said sarcastically,
“No that game Talia talked about the one with Gibby and Emily! Oh what’s it called?” Pat said trying to remember, Gibby put a hand over Emily’s mouth so she wouldn’t tell. John looked at them weird,
“Talia!” Jared yelled catching her attention, he motioned for her to come, she reluctantly let go of Garrett and came forward.
“What’s up?”
“What’s that game for those two to play?” Pat said pointing to Em and Gibby.
“Oh! Win the Crowd!” she yelled and both Em and Austin groaned but Emily had to admit she was excited.
“I dare you both to play win the crowd” she smirked knowing they both never backed out of a dare.
“Fine!” they yelled.
“You guys are going to looovvee this! You should have seen them in high school they were like the golden couple!” Talia ramble all oblivious at the way John reacted to the words ‘Golden Couple’.
“Song?” Austin asked,
“Crank it up- by Akon ft David Guetta” Emily smirked as Austin groaned,
“Rules?” Talia said and all the other guys looked between the three as they discussed.
“Gibby is the only one that’s allowed to touch you, Gibby like wise to Emily” Talia said
“The dance only goes for 4 minutes I beg you!”
“Done” Talia nodded.
“My 4 exceptions are John and that guy over there, that one and that one” Emily pointed to guys who looked scaring, drunk or just disturbing. Exceptions meant she wasn’t allowed to dance with them.
“Hey why am I and exception?” John whined and Emily just smiled.
“Okay so low down for you all, win the crowd is a competition on who wins the crowd first so who they cheer for more...” Talia explained,
“Are we doing high school mode or all out?”
“All out!” All the guys except John yelled.
“Okay I’ll go talk to the Dj” Talia yelled excited.
“Ready for this?” Emily grinned at Austin.
“Not really...”
“Prepared to lose Gibbs”
“Not likely Lovisa” He glared playfully,
“Milady” he grabbed her hand and she rolled her eyes as he led her to the dance floor.

John’s POV

John watched as Austin led Emily to the dance floor a weird sensation rolled in his stomach, what did Talia mean by ‘the Golden couple’ were they ever a couple? Emily said they weren’t... And what happened with Carrie, before he knew it the music started. He watched as Emily attractively circled Gibby, the lyrics started;

Emily was swinging her hips showing off her Latino background, he could see she had caught the eyes of almost every male in the room and she was completely oblivious to it, Jealous filled John.

Gibby grabbed Emily and twirled her holding her close, John felt a sensation he didn’t like in his stomach.

Gibby released Emily and she twirled going to another guy while Austin went to another girl, John had to admit it, they were both really good and Emily looked so attractive, her smile so genuine and happy, John felt his heart pound.

Emily moved on from guy to guy, she was winning. Grinning she looked at Talia who mouthed two minutes left, every time a guy would try to grab her she twirled away.

Emily danced with all her heart and she enjoyed every moment of it, she danced with the guy she recognised as Alex Gaskarth and twirled away quickly as he was about to grab her waist. As the song finished she was in Austin’s arms doing their grand finally, the whole crowd cheered loudly and guys surrounded her asking if she was single or ask for her number. Austin laughed and pulled her away towards John who looked at her with wide eyes, all the other guys complemented her saying how Hot she was, John would wear a Scowl every time.
“Hey Cupcake I see you never change...” a sinister voice said behind her and her heart stopped in recognition turning around she felt sick, bile rose in her throat, horrified she said the dreaded name,
“Blake...”
