I Myself Am Strange and Unusual

"Good mornin' yeh wanker!" I heard before cold liquid dowsed my body.

"What the hell!" I yelled, jumping up. I wiped the water from my face before looking up to Jona with a bucket in his hands. He smirked and motioned over to Matty who had a triumphant look on his face.

"Don't look at me, mate," Matty laughed motioning to the door where Audrey stood.

She grinned as I looked at her. I rolled my eyes, getting out of bed. "I blame Matteh."

"I didn't do anyfing!" He laughed. "Jona poured the water."

"Jona!" I whined, pulling my shirt off my head.

"Yeh broke into our house last night!" He laughed. "Yeh girlfriend gave us permission to wake yeh up like that anyway."

I rolled my eyes, "my girlfriend also wanted to come here last night anyway."

Matty laughed, "yeh bird 'causes a lot of trouble."

"Yeah," I chuckled. "So she should have had the water dumped on her."

Jona smirked. "No way. Yeh girlfriend is too adorable to do anyfing like that too."

"Adorable my arse. She's an evil little fing."

Matty laughed. "Whatevah mate. We're goin' for breakfast."

Jona smiled, pushing Matty out of the room. "Have fun on your date!" Audrey yelled down the hall to them.

"Evil," I looked over at her.

Audrey grinned and jumped on the wet bed. "Adorable according to them."

"Evil," I repeated, pulling my wet pants down.

"I don't see what I did wrong. I got you naked."

I shot her a look before laughing. "Yeh so strange."

"The strangest."

I nodded before sitting next to her. "Yeh sittin' on a wet bed yeh know."

"I know. So are you."

"But I was already wet."

She shrugged before laying in the wet mess. "I'm wet now too."

"How are yeh feeling?" I asked, reaching out and holding her hand.

Her eyes flashed down to her arm before meeting mine. "Much better."

"Yea?"

She nodded, smiling. "I can't be sad with you. You make everything perfect."

I smiled before leaning in and kissing her. "I'm not perfect."

"No one is, but you're the most perfect one for me. We complete each other, you know?"

I nodded, laying down next to her. "Yeh saved my life."

"I was a paramedic. That's what I do."

"No," I chuckled. "After that. Yeh saved my mind. I really mean it."

Audrey leaned over, kissing my temple. "You save mine."

"We're like a cliché love story, yeh know?"

She laughed, snuggling into my wet side. "Very cliché. I'm okay with that. It helps me know what's next."

"Oh yea?" I smiled, pulling her closer. "Then what's next for us?"

Audrey smiled, kissing my lightly. "Happily ever after, of course."
