Cover Story Now in Stores

CD making

"Ready?" Pete asked through the Mic. I nodded. The music started. This is so cool. Being in a recording studio is awesome. We finally have our chance to show people what we got!

"Telling Layla's story spoken
'Bout how all her bones are broken
Hammers fall on all the pieces
Two months in the cover creases

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

All my complaints shrink to nothing
I'm ashamed of all my somethings
She's glad for one day of comfort
Only because she has suffered

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures

Fully alive
More than most
Ready to smile and love life
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures
"

"Good. Lets go into the next song, then you can come back and we'll revise," Pete said. He pushed a button that made the next song start in the head phones I was wearing.

"I am such a sucker
And I'm always the last to know
My insides are copper
And I'd kill to make them gold
Conversation got me here: another night alone in the city
So make my bed the grave and shovel dirt onto my sheets

Every friend we ever had in common
I will sever the tie, sever the tie with you
You can thank your lucky stars
That everything I wish for will never come true

When you go, I will forget everything about you

I've seen sinking ships go down with more grace than you

Turn this up I'll tune you out
Another night alone in the city, yeah
Fake it like you matter-that's a lie we can both keep, OH

When you go, I will forget everything about you

I will forget when you go
I will forget everything about you when you go
I will forget everything about you
"

I pulled the head phones off and walked through the door connecting the mix area and the studio. "Dude, if you were any better, you'd own like...all of Wisconsin!" Autumn said hugging me. I hugged back, a little confused.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Paige, Pete sat in that chair and didn't touch a button the entire time you were recording," Dev said.

"So? What is that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"It means you didn't need any tuning for anything!" Andy elaborated.

"Seriously?" I asked. Pete nodded. "Whoa," was all I could muster.

"Dude, that was awesome!" Matt shouted.

"Kay, lemme ask you something. Where the hell were you five years ago?" Pete asked excitedly.

"Ugh, Middle school!" I answered seriously. Everyone started laughing. I walked back into the studio and put the head phones back on. The music started again. Another song.

"Swoon this is the same old blood rush with a new touch
I am safe, quaint and eloquent
But my bottom lip along with the top one too
Is chapped and it's all thanks to you

We all wet our lips to prepare for the kiss
But it never came
And we all wet our lips to prepare for the kiss
It was but a game

You have a moan all of your own
And I can feel it down to the bone
You have a moan all of your own
And I can feel it down to the bone
(The bone, the bone)

You trained these lips when they were champs
And now they're itchin' for a comeback
So come back
It's a shame that your claim to fame
Hangs on someone else's name
So come back
Such a task and this is such a blast
And such a task
And such a task and this is such a blast
And all that jazz

You have a moan all of your own
And I can feel it down to the bone
You have a moan all of your own
And I can feel it down to the bone

You have a dangerous face and illegal taste
And that strap is fallen on that shoulder blade
Be patient
Behave
You have a dangerous face and illegal taste
And that strap is fallen on that shoulder blade
Be patient
Behave

You have a dangerous face and illegal taste
And that strap is fallen on that shoulder blade
Be patient
Behave

You trained these lips when they were champs
And now they're itchin' for a comeback

You have a moan all of your own
And I can feel it down to the bone
You have a moan all of your own
And I can feel it down to the bone
"

So far, so good.

~A Few Hours Later~

Back at home, everyone decided they were tired. Okay, odd. No one in this house is ever tired. Whatever. I walked into my room and looked at my Fall Out Boy posters.

Pete Wentz thinks I'm amazing!
