We Don't Belong Here

Chapter 2: Dead on Arrival

I knew as soon as I arrived at Maxim, I'm screwed

Looking around I saw kids with prim clothes and their heads held up high. It's sickening how boarding schools can break kids down and turn them into future robots

I looked down at my clothing and I know I would be ratted out for it. Black skinny jeans, white v-neck, leather boots and eyeliner caked on my eyes, Not to mention the fact I had long hair that could rival a girls'

"Andrew, stop mucking around and get inside!" Mom scolded at me

I sighed as she and I entered the massive school building

"Good Morning! We're here to collect Andrew Biersack's timetable and dorm room number" My mother smiled sweetly to the receptionist. I had gotten so good at acting, I can see right through a mask and yet carve a perfect one for myself. My mother's was clearly fake, though her smile seemed genuine, it's the eyes that give everything away

Right now, she was showing impatience and she's moody. Oh dear, I'm just glad I won't be able to hear her bitch about it back at home, I'm stuck in England where it rains pretty much everyday, is cold and is freezing and snowing in December

"Andrew Biersack? Here's your time table and you are in dorm A6, have a fabulous school year!" The receptionist chirped in her thick Cockney accent

I swear, it's kinda fun how you get different accents like Scottish, Irish and Welsh here all jumbled up in one big British cocktail. They were easy to understand, but the Welsh accent had a more melodic tune to it

"Now Andrew, I must be going now. Just remember that I am proud of your abilities in the arts, being accepted in one of the most prestigious performing arts school in the whole world where even the rich have difficulty getting into." She laughed. All students in Maxim's Academy for Brilliant Minds have to be amazing in the performing arts and loaded. The rich thought they can dump their children here and think they will be artists, actors, models and such by the time they get out but no. You have to send a few pieces of your work to them and hope you get accepted here

My mom patted my cheek before strutting out the school building, leaving me with a map and my carry-ons. I sighed and looked at the map, where I got a roughly good idea where my dorm is. I picked up my bags and slowly walked there, taking in the surroundings and the scenery outside

It was green, with loads of trees and those woodland animals you don't find that much in the US, it's almost like a completely different world to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. It's almost like a calm, graceful place where everything just flows like the river Thames

I looked at the doors and saw the one with my number on it, hearing someone inside walking around. I took a deep breath like I do before a play, fixed a smile on my face since first impressions are the best, and knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal a boy with pale skin, blue eyes a lighter shade than mine and long raven black hair spiked up at the back. His mouth turned to a smile and he stuck his hand out.

"Hi! You must be my roommate! I'm Jeremy" He grinned as I walked in. "I'm Andy" I smiled back as he looked at me wide-eyed. "Wow! Dude your voice is really deep!" He said aloud as I chuckled. "It helps with some roles when I act" I smiled as he grinned. "You're in here for acting? Wow that's cool! I'm in here for violin, been playing since I was six" He said proudly and pointed at the two violins on the wall. One was black and the other was its normal wooden colour. "The black one is a German violin, named her Lolita. Other one is Italian, call her Bella" He said as I nodded. Well serious musicians do tend to name their instruments"

We spent the next hour helping me unpack all my shit into drawers, and we talked about ourselves. "I lived in Hollywood with my parents, but I used to live in Chicago before they discovered my talents. Hence why I moved to Hollywood. I had a best friend in Chicago, he moved here and we were tight. He had the same black hair and blue eyes, so people used to say were were twins." I chuckled, playing with my necklace. "Hey what's that?" Jeremy asked, looking at my necklace intently. "It was a gift from him, before he moved to England. Mine says my name, and his says Jinxx with double x. Dude are you okay?" I asked Jeremy as his eyes widened and his jaw snapped open. He stuck his hand in his shirts and pulled out an identical necklace, only this one said Jinxx on it

We stared at each other wordlessly, time ticking past

"Andy?" He asked, and I could see the same face from when we were six

"Jinxxy?" I gulped as he nodded

The both of us fell into hugs, I was happy as fuck being with my best friends once again
