I glance down, hardly surprised to see her again. A petite, human-looking creature with ash-colored, feathered wings and ample, ebony eyes; she smiles at me, revealing shark-like teeth. Her tiny hand rests on my knee, and she rubs her cheek on my hand sitting idly on my leg.
