Caught Up In You.

Better Off.

"Where is he goin'?" Tom asked as I began to help him fold the shirts in the box.

"I have no idea." I responded with a shrug. Well, I had an idea, but he might not want me giving Tom that info just yet.

"So, do yeh reallah need this job or is he forcin' this job on yeh?"

I chuckled, "I actually need it."

"Well, then yeh fired!"

"what if I suck?"

"Yeh can't screw up reallah." He said chuckling.

"You never know with me."

"I'm sure yeh will be fine. Plus, Oli and I will be here most of tha time. Me mostly so if yeh need anyfing yeh can always ask."

"Thanks Tom." I said with a grin.

"No problem."

We folded shirts and talked for longer than I thought because when Oli returned I realized it had been a little over an hour.

"Where did yeh go?" Tom asked Oli who looked a little disleveled.

"Oh, um, ta see Tiffany."

Tom gave him a nod and grabbed the now empty box and headed to the back. I looked over at Oli who shoved his hands in his pockets, "How do yeh feel bout a double date?"

"With who?" I asked cautiously.

"Yeh and Matty and meh and Tiff." He said with a wince and I rolled my eyes, "Oli! I thought you were breaking up with her."

"I was. Honest. It's juss, complicated..." he grumbled and I nodded, "Not really, but ok."

He sighed and I finished placing the shirts were they went. I didn't care what he planned to do I just can't stand people who said one thing and do another. It makes no sense!

"So, when?" I finally asked and he spoke, "I dunno. Tomorra?"

"Ok, I guess I'll see if Matty can."

"Yeah...ok..." he mumbled.

I just stared at him and he let out a sigh, "Are yeh ready ta go or yeh gonna stay?"

"Shouldn't you be staying?"

He shrugged and I sat the last shirt down, "I'll stay and finish helping Tom. I'll get Matty to pick me up."

He rubbed the back of his neck as he stared at me, clearly in thought.

"What?" I finally asked and he shrugged, "Nuffin. Forget it. I'll see yeh tomorra."

"Ok..." I mumbled watching him walk out of the store. I sighed and leaned against the counter.

Well, tomorrow night was going to be interesting...

"Did I mention I hate this bitch?" Matty asked as we parked at the restaurant Tiffany had picked out.

I couldn't help but giggle at his remark as we got out, "I know."

"Yeh lucky yeh prettah."

"Oh, how so?"

"Otha wise I'd have said no to this." He said reaching for my hand before we crossed the street.

"Lucky me." I joked and he chuckled as we reached the door. He was a lot less shy around me now which I appreciated, but he still had his moments. I now found them to be quite adorable though.

"Well, here goes nuffin." He said with a grin that showed off his dimples.

I laughed and pushed him in softly and we noticed the perfect couple right as we entered. Their eyes landed on us immediately and I could hear Matty mumbling some not so nice words.

"Matty..." I said trying to keep my laughter down as I pulled him to the table.

"Hope yeh weren't waitin' long." Matt said with the fakest smile ever.

"Nah, juss got here."

"So you are Sophia?" Tiffany asked with a smile making me hate her even more for no real reason.

"Afraid so."

"I'm Tiffany, Oli's girlfriend. Glad to finally meet you."

"You too." I responded reframing from the eye roll i felt creeping up. Did she have to include that whole, 'Oli's girlfriend' thing? ...Like I didn't know.

"You're too pretty to be dating Matt." She stated and he scoffed beside me and I knew at this point he was biting his tongue in order to keep everything calm.

"Nah, he's cute." I said patting his cheek and he glared at me which caused me to laugh.

She smiled, "Well glad someone likes him."

"Tiffany." Oli responded giving her a look which she shrugged off, "I'll be right back." She said getting up and I assume going to the restroom.

"Oh, how I hate her." Matty spoke clearly not caring that Oli heard.

Oli just shrugged and Matty looked at me with a grin, "So...yeh fink I'm cute or was that juss a ploy?"

I laughed, "Oh, you know, just saying it to make you feel better." I joked and he chuckled, "Mhm, ok. Sure."

Tiffany finally got back as our food arrived and it instantly grew quiet. One reason because we were eating and the second being because none of us had anything to talk about.

Matty poked my side causing me to look at him. He gave me a wink and I laughed softly. It was safe to say I had a slight crush on him.

He chuckled and reached over grabbing my hand that was in my lap. I looked over at Oli who was playing with his food instead of eating it. I honestly didn't feel bad that this wasn't going good because he should have known what to expect.

Needless to say by the time it was over I couldn't get out fast enough.

"Nice to meet you." I lied to Tiffany with a smile.

"You too! We should do this again!" She responded, I'm sure just as fake as I was.

"Yeah! Bye." I said waving at the two as Matty began to pull me to his car.

"What a bitch." He mumbled and I laughed, "She is...well..."

"Can yeh be mean?"

"Yes. I just don't really like to be."

He chuckled, "It's ok. I'll be mean enough for tha bof of us."

"So sweet of you."

"Besides that disasta this wasn't so bad been wif yeh." He said with a grin as we reached my side of the car.

I smiled as I leaned against the door, "You're on a role with the sweet talk."

He grinned, "Yeah, well. It's yeh so..." he said with a shrug as he stuck his hands in his pockets.

"You know, I wasn't lying when I said you are cute."

A red tint hit his cheeks, "Fanks love. Yeh propa cute yehself."

"Thanks." I responded with a laugh.

He stepped closer to me and my eyes never left his as he brought his hand carefully to my cheek.

"I like yeh."

"Well, I hope so because I like you too."

He smiled before leaning in and pressing his lips to mine.

"So, yeh don't mind goin' on several more dates wif meh?"

"No." I said through my laughter.

"Good." He whispered wrapping his arms around my waist.

He kissed my forehead softly and before I could speak we heard yelling.

I gave him a strange look and we both looked a few cars down from us to see Tiffany ranting at Oli. We couldn't hear everything, but her hand motions told us enough.

"I can onlah hope ta have a relationship like them." He said sarcastically causing me to laugh.

"Come on, let's go before we get dragged inta that." He said kissing me once more before opening the door for me.

I couldn't help but wonder what was going on and I knew I'd be calling Oli later tonight to find out because, I was nosey and I wanted him to break up with that unsuitable girl.

"Maybe he broke up with her."

"Ha, wishful thinkin'. He probably doesn't wanna lose his model for drop dead cause then he'd have ta pay for one."

"Oh, she models for him?" I asked and he nodded, "But I mean, yeh friends wif him now, and yeh betta lookin' than her, so I don't see why he's keepin' her round." He said flashing me a smile and I rolled my eyes, "Oh whatever."

"It's true."

I shook my head with a grin as I looked out the window. I felt his hand link with mine and I gave it a light squeeze. He was a genuinely good guy and I'd be stupid not to take advantage of it. Oli had a hectic relationship and although, I thought I had feelings for him, I could easily stick around Matty and like him more, and to be honest, I could tell it wouldn't be long until that happened.

"So, yeh gonna see meh tomorra." He said confidently as we reached my door.

I laughed, "Oh, I am?"

"Yeah. Yeh secretly want to." He said with his lopsided grin.

"Fine. You convinced me." I responded crossing my arms with a smile of my own.

"Figured. See yeh tomorra, love." He said leaning into me pressing his lips to mine.

"Goodnight Matty."

"Goodnight Sophia." He responded chuckling before kissing my cheek and I went inside with a smile.

Yeah. He was a keeper.

I fell onto the couch with a sigh as I dropped my purse beside me. Maybe now was the time to call Oli since I was in a good mood.

I grabbed my phone up and found the familiar number, hitting send and pressing it to my ear as it rang.

"Ello?" He mumbled after the fourth ring.

"You got in a fight and you aren't here so..."

"Oh I should be?"

"Yes."

"Not reallah. Don't wanna talk bout it."

"Who said we would?"

"It's a thirty minute drive..."

"Are you saying I should drive there?"

He chuckled at my comment which caused me to smile because I knew I had successfully cracked his sad mood.

"I'll be there in 30 minutes." He responded and I tried not to laugh, "See you then."

I hung up and got ready for bed and by that time Oli was banging on my door.

"28 minutes." He said as I opened the door and I laughed stepping aside.

He tugged on his hair as he walked slowly to the couch and I followed behind him with a sigh.

It's impossible to not like him.

"I know yeh wanna ask." He said throwing his arm on the back of the couch as he sat down.

"Nope."

"What if I wanna tell yeh?"

"Then tell me." I said softly and he sighed, "I broke up wif her."

"After a date? Classy."

He rolled his eyes and spoke, "So what? She was rude ta Matty and I juss..."

"And you just realized that?"

He groaned, "No. Ok? I bloody know, but it's ova. Can we juss move on?"

I shrugged, "Ok."

He sighed and ran his hand down his face, "Let's talk bout somefin else."

"Like what?"

"I dunno..." he mumbled as he laid his head in my lap.

I sighed and looked down at him as I brought my hand to his hair causing his eyes to shut.

I wanted to ask him more questions, but I knew it was a waste of breath. He'd open up when he wanted to, but then again, who knew when that would be...
