Caught Up In You.

Drunken thoughts.

"Is it suppose to hurt now?" I asked Oli as we entered my apartment.

"Yeah, probably will for a few days. Don't forget ta put that stuff on it."

"I won't....well, I'll try not to..."

He rolled his eyes, "I'll remind yeh."

"Thanks." I said with a smile and he chuckled as he sat down.

"Shit. I have to get ready." I said outloud realizing the time.

"Why?"

"Matty is picking me up soon."

"Oh righ'. Date. How many of those can yeh have?"

I laughed, "As many as you want."

"Oh..."

"How you keep girls I'll never know."

He shrugged at my comment, "I mean, I've neva been wif someone that I wouldn't mind takin' out every weekend."

"That's kind of sad..." I responded with a frown.

He shrugged, "I fall out of interest quickly, yet can't break habit. Example, Tiffany."

"Then you haven't found the right person."

"Thanks for pointing that out docta."

I rolled my eyes and patted his head, "One day Oli. One day."

"One day what?"

"You're going to fall in love so hard and I'm going to be the first to laugh."

He rolled his eyes, "Whateva Soph."

I smiled and fell into his lap, "Oli..."

"Yes?"

"Thanks for today."

"No problem, love." He said flashing his smile that still got me.

"So does that happen to girls that are friends?" I asked and he raised a eyebrow, "What?"

"The whole I grow uninterested, habit thing."

"Oh, no. Definitely not." He said with a grin as he brought his hand to my cheek, "Yeh prettah interestin'. Yeh say fings that some times I don't expect so I don't fink yeh will eva grow uninterestin', dear. Plus, I enjoy havin' yeh round."

I grinned before kissing his cheek quickly, "well, I think you're interesting as well."

"Fanks." He said with a smile and I wrapped my arms around his neck, "So, gonna help me decide what to wear?"

"If I don't will yeh be changin' six million times?"

"Probably."

He groaned and placed his arms around me, "Then yes, I will."

"Ow, ow!" I said as he accidently hit where my tattoo was.

He instantly removed his hand once the words left my mouth, "Fuck. I'm sorrah. I forgot." He said sympathetically.

I whined and let my forehead hit his collar bone.

"I'm propa sorrah, love." He whispered gently running his fingers under my shirt and to the bandage causing my heart to began pounding from the way his fingertips felt against my skin.

"Let meh check it love."

"Are you sure you don't just want to see me shirtless?" I joked and he chuckled, "Well, it is a plus." He said as I raised up my shirt.

He studied the bandage as his fingers running over it and I couldn't help but watch him as his eyebrows narrowed together.

Could he be any more perfect? I hated myself for feeling this way!

"It's fine."He whispered sliding his hand further down my side and his lips hit my bandage. Although I couldn't feel his lips, just knowing they were there was enough to send me into a panic.

I knew I was breathing heavier than before, but I couldn't help it. He pulled my shirt down for me and once his eyes met mine he kept his stare a bit longer than I assumed he would.

He finally cleared his throat and ran his hand through his hair, "Um, uh, go change so I can pick yeh bloody outfit and I can go meet Tom."

I quickly nodded and took off for my room. I don't know what just happened but I had to take a moment to catch my breath once I was alone. Once I gathered myself I quickly shook the thoughts from my head and went to my closet.

"But what if it's cold?" He asked as I came out in the second dress and I groaned, "You didn't like the long sleeve dress!"

"Why must it be a dress?!"

I sighed and went back to my room putting on jeans, boots and a off the shoulder top. When I walked back out he smiled, "Yeh look propa lovely."

"Thanks." I whispered and he gave me a small smile, "I best beh goin'. Have fun tonigh' love." He said shoving his hands in his pockets.

I nodded and he gave m a wink before leaving. I was now having mixed feelings about everything. Mostly my feelings for him.

Matty got there about thirty minutes after Oli left which I was thankful for because I didn't have that much time to dwell on my thoughts.

"Hey love."He said as soon as I opened the door and a smile immediately hit my lips.

"Yeh ready?" He asked leaning against the door frame with a smile of his own.

I nodded and grabbed my jacket quickly before walking out the door.

"Where are we going? Oli said you are pretty cheesy." I joked and he reached for my hand as he laughed, "Oh he did?"

"Yes and he took me to get a tattoo."

"Today?" He asked giving me a look as we reached his car.

I nodded in response and he smiled, "Well, let meh see it."

"It's bandaged up."

"Well, I must see it soon then." He said with a smile as he opened the door for me.

"You will."

He kissed my cheek before I got in and once he got in I couldn't help but ask him again where we were going which caused him to laugh.

"Yeh need ta learn ta be patient, Soph. Although, it's nuffin serious."

"You're no fun."

"yeh righ'. So bloody borin'." He stated linking his hand with mine.

"Music, drinks, fun." He said once we arrived at a pub where they occasionally have local bands play. I wouldn't object to this by any means.

I held on to his hand as he pulled me into the packed place. We found a table near the back and once I sat down he dropped my hand, "I'll be back. Gonna get us some drinks."

I nodded and watched him walk off to the bar which wasn't far from where we were seated. I looked around the small space and before I knew it he was back.

"Here love."

"Thanks." I replied with a smile.

He nodded as he sat beside me, "We actuallah have like 30 minutes." He said looking at his phone.

"No big deal."

He smiled and leaned closer to me, "Righ'. No big deal. Means I can kiss yeh a bit."

"Whoever said you couldn't any other time?"

He smiled and shrugged, "I didn't know if yeh would mind."

"Well, I don't."

"Alrigh'. Noted." He said chuckling before pulling me to him and pressing his lips to mine.

"Ok, I've got ta rememba we are in a public place." He said after several more kisses.

I laughed as he pulled back with a grin before grabbing up his drink. I liked spending time with Matt. He was sweet, funny, easy to talk to. It was like hanging out with someone you have known forever.

After several drinks and two bands had already played I was a bit buzzed to put it lightly.

"Be back." I said with a grin and he nodded as I got up and headed to the crowded bar.

"Yeah, can I get another um..."

"Cranberry and vodka." I heard and turned around to see a smiling Oli.

"Oli!"

"Sophia." He said laughing, "Yeh propa wasted."

"Am not." I said frowning and he reached behind me placing money on the bar and grabbing up my drink.

"When did you get here?"

"Juss now. Lee, and Jona are round here somewhere. Didn't know yeh would be here. Are yeh wif Matty?" He asked taking a sip of my drink before placing it in my hand.

"Yeah, come sit with us." I said grabbing his hand and he chuckled as he allowed me to pull him to the table.

"Well, I see you all find each other no matter what." I stated seeing Jona and Lee sitting with Matt.

"Hey lil bird, I see yeh and him find each otha no matta what." Jona said flashing me a smile.

I shrugged and Oli made me sit down.

"Was this yeh plan, mate? Ta get tha bird wasted?" Lee joked with Matty and he rolled his eyes, "She's not wasted."

"Just, a little." I said putting my fingers a inch apart and everyone laughed.

"There's some songs that no band should ever try and redo." I said randomly and Oli looked at me amused, "Oh? Like what?"

"Like Living on a prayer. Who the hell do you think you are?! It's Bon fucking Jovi! Just don't!" I said throwing my hands up as they all laughed.

"Good point." Lee stated with a nod.

"Or don't stop believing by Journey. It's a classic for a reason. Why slaughter it?"

Jona nodded in agreement and I sighed, "Just annoying."

"I fink I'm fond of yeh drunk." Oli said causing me to look at him, "Why?"

"Juss interestin' ta see what yeh reallah fink bout." He said with a smirk as he leaned back in his seat.

"Drink time." Lee said standing from the table and Matty stood with him, "I'll go. Yeh good?" He asked and I nodded as they left me, Jona and Oli.

"My birds here. Be righ' back." Jona stated heading for the door.

"Wanna know what I really think about you Oliver?" I asked boldly and he laughed, "Sure. Humor meh."

"Well, it's pretty much the same sober."

"Which is what?" He asked now facing me.

I shrugged, "You're a good person Oli and well, pretty fucking hot if I must admit."

He instantly started laughing, "Yeh cursin' seriously makes meh laugh, I dunno why."

"Sorryyy."

He chuckled and leaned closer to me, brushing a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"So...yeh fink I'm fockin' hot?" He said causing me to giggle from the way he spoke.

"Is there a girl that doesn't like you Oliver? You're cocky for a reason."

He rolled his eyes, "I don't fink that."

"Yet it's the lousy truth."

"If that was true, Soph, I'd have who I wanted." He said seriously as he ran his fingers gently down my jaw.

I rolled my eyes, "If you told whoever it is you wanted, that you wanted to be with them I'm sure they'd jump at the idea."

"I fink yeh wrong." He said his eybrows narrowing together.

"You clearly haven't tried so how do you know?" I asked although it clearly was the alcohol that made me curious because sober me probably wouldn't want to know who he was wanting to be with.

"It's complicated, love."

"It better not be Tiffany."

He chuckled softly, "No. Far from it."

I nodded and covered my mouth to yawn.

"Yeh tired. Let's go. Come home wif meh." He said softly as he stroked my hair. It seemed more inviting then it normally would. I simply nodded and he gave me a soft smile.

"But I came with Matty." I finally said once I found my voice.

"Oh, I'll talk ta him. No worries." He said getting up from his seat and grabbing my hand to pull me up.

He pulled me to his chest and I lazily wrapped my arms around his torso. I always felt safe when I was with Oli and I loved that feeling. Loved it even more when I was drunk for some reason.

"You smell so good. You always smell good." I mumbled into his shirt and he chuckled, "Fanks, I guess."

"Mhm." I mumbled closing my eyes realizing how tired and drowsy I now was.

"Is she ok?" I heard Matt ask and I couldn't even move to look at him.

"Yeah, I'm gonna take her home."

"No, I will. She came with me and..."

"Matty, yeh wasted mate. Yeh shouldn't drive, plus I'm ready ta go so it's fine." Oli said his arms tightening around me.

He sighed and before I knew it I was being pulled to Matty.

"Hey." He said softly with a grin as he cupped my face.

"Hi."

He chuckled, "Sorrah I got yeh wasted."

"You didn't make me drink."

"Yeah, but now I can't even take yeh home."

I shrugged with a grin, "There's always tomorrow."

"Yeh somefin else, Sophia." He whispered before kissing me softly.

"So, you'll be seeing me tomorrow."

He chuckled, "I wouldn't miss it for tha world, love. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

He smiled and kissed me once more before Oli dragged me away.

"I like Matty." I said once we hit the cold night air and a ringing was now in my ear from going from loud music to silence.

"Mhm." Oli mumbled as he held on to my hand and we walked to his car.

"Do you not?"

"Course I do. Get in love." He said opening the door for me.

"Do you think he likes me?" I asked and Oli sighed as he started the car. I couldn't tell if he was getting annoyed or what because I honestly was too drunk to figure things like that out.

"Don't be stupid, Sophia. Of course he likes you. Who wouldn't?"

I shrugged and watched him as he focused on the road.

"Well, not you." I stated and he stifled a laugh, "Whateva, Soph." He responded, his grasp tightening on the steering wheel.

I sighed and leaned back in the seat closing my eyes as I did so. Drunk or not, it didn't help push my feelings for him away. If anything, I was fighting more to keep them buried so I needed to shut up before I regretted anything.

The ride to his house seemed to last only seconds and the next thing I knew he was carrying me inside.

"Oli." I said as he laid me on his bed and began taking my boots off.

"What is it, love?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what?" He asked as he sat down next to me and I looked up at him, "For making you leave."

"Yeh didn't make meh leave. I wanted to." He said softly as he brushed the back of his hand against my cheek.

"Ok." I whispered as I closed my eyes, "Sweet dreams my love." I heard him say before I drifted to sleep.
