Status: Awkward 3 year hiatus is over. Probs lost all my readers. RIP. Comment or something if you want this ongoing :)

365 Days.

334.

I sip on the hot chocolate slowly,
blowing on it now and then so I don’t burn myself.
My eyes rest on Chase for a second,
wishing he would just start talking or something,
it’s far too quiet.

“So what did I miss?”
I ask hesitantly,
breaking the silence.

“Not much,
just a boring game of golf and Jersey Shore.”

Chase stretches in the chair,
making it look very tiny,
almost child-like,
under him.

“Oh…”
I look out the window,
watching a swarm of moths fly around a light.
It was only six in the evening,
but already if was very dark outside.
“Mickel came around yesterday,”
I say quietly.
Behind me,
I hear Chase stiffen slightly.

“When?”

“I don’t know exactly,
but he came,
and he told me to not move,
so that he wouldn’t be told to leave,
because I got more sick.
He wanted to stay
and I didn’t like it,
so I started calling for Magnus…”
I leave out the part of seeing my mother,
that’s personal.

Chase looks confused,
then he chuckles softly,
“No,
Mickel never came,
It was me.
You were hallucinating.
Your fever went really high and you started to see things.
You were thrashing about and all,
screaming and hyperventilating.”

I look over,
“So Mickel never came?”

Chase shakes his head,
“Nope,
I was here the whole time,
I would have seen him if he did.”

For a moment,
I remain silent,
then I dare ask,
“So how long have you been here?”

“Everyday,”
Chase yawns,
speaking casually,
“I come at about six in the morning,
and leave at about ten in the evening.”

“Chase,”
I gasp,
looking at him surprised,
“You don’t have to…”

“I don’t have to?
But Magnus prepares delicious food,
and your TV is nice and big,
your bathrooms are stylish,
your house is modern,
and your room is spacious.
I don’t think I ever wanna leave.”

He laughs.

I blush,
look down into my hot chocolate.
Did he really?
But by noticing the bags under his eyes,
noticing how comfortable,
as if at home,
he looked,
it’s quite possible he was telling the truth…

Here I realize that,
because their is going to be HEAPS of chapters, I'm probably going to have to split the book up in order to not scare new readers. I'll probably go up to about 30 chapters each, and then make a new sequel to it. And have a collection of those or something. I dunno, what do you guys think? :l
