EMOTIONS OF LIFE, WITH FOG IN EYES
Waiting for the Rain
It’s the mid-summer noon
The soil of earth
Is by now boiled,
The mighty sun is on its peak
Everyone prays gray clouds to leak
Oh there, there’s a thunder in the air
And it’s a blunder in everyone’s ears,
The gaze shifts from earth to sky
With eyes broader
Rain, oh rain! Come, oh rain!
Fatigued of pleading, now they order
The thunder turns louder and louder
And the lightning becomes brighter and brighter
But in couple of minutes
The sky turns clear,
The clouds that had come from nowhere
Go again somewhere
The earth is lying helpless
Boiled and thirsty,
Again, there’s no sign of rain
All the pleadings and orders are in vain.
