The Fallen Angels

The First Task -Juliet's P.O.V.-

A few weeks later, a couple of days before the first task, almost everyone around school was wearing badges that said 'Potter Stinks' 'Cedric Diggory' with Cedric's face on it. I frowned knowing they weren't helping Harry face the fact that he had the first task in a few days.

"Ugh! The nerve of some people," huffed Hermione.

"Are you talking about the badges?"

Hermione threw her arms up, "Of course I'm talking about the badges! They are unnecessary and childish."

"I agree completely," I sighed as we reached the common room.

She sighed, plopping down on the couch, "I wonder how Harry is dealing with all this."

"Why don't you ask him," I said nodding to Harry as he walked through the portrait hole.

Hermione jumped up, "Harry." He didn't look at us as he took a seat between me and where Hermione was sitting before. Hermione slowly sank back down on to the couch, next to Harry. "Harry?"

"Dragons," he murmured.

I frowned, "Sorry?"

"Dragons. The first task is to face a dragon," he said, looking over at me.

"You're joking right?" I smiled half-heartedly. He shook his head. "This is mad," I whispered staying up, starting to pace.

"What are you going to do, Harry?" asked Hermione.

He sighed, "I talked with Moody and he helped me come with the idea of summoning my broom during the task. After that I just have to fight the dragon..."

"Oh, yes, very good plan, because dragons are just so easy to fight with," I said waving my hands in the air.

"There's not much else we can do," Harry shot back at me, "The first task is in two days."

I plopped back down on the couch, "Yeah, I know." I rubbed my hands over my face. "This is just completely insane," I grumbled.

Hermione placed a hand on my back, "We're just trying to help you Harry. This is just as stressful to us as it is to you."

Harry jumped up, "You two don't have to fight a dragon!"

I looked up at Harry, "Do you know what charm you're going to use to summon your broom?" Harry shook his head.

"I can head to the library and look one up," Hermione said standing up.

I waved her off, pulling out my wand, "Watch me." I looked over at one f the books lying on the table. I flicked my wand, "Accio spell book." The book lifted off of the pile, soaring right towards us. I caught it, turning back to Harry and Hermione smiling. "You try," I nodded to the two of them.

"Accio school bag." Hermione's large bag lifted off the floor and collided into her arms.

"Accio Firebolt," Harry said waving his wand. We heard a few crashes from upstairs before the door flew open and down the stairs came Harry's Firebolt. He smiled, "This is brilliant!"

I bowed, "Thank you. Thank you." Hermione and Harry laughed at me. My stomach rumbled and I quickly turned, hiding my face as my fangs extended.

"Juliet," questioned Harry. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," I breathed. "I'll be right back." I quickly ran up the steps to the girls' dormitory, locking the door behind me. I ran over to my cabinet, pulling out my cooler. I grabbed the top bag, biting into the cold plastic, not caring that it was ice cold. I drained the first bag quickly, my hunger was still there. I grabbed a second bag, warming it a bit, before I began to drink. I only got about halfway through the bag when my stomach felt full and sloshy. I resealed the bag, placing everything back, locking it up tight. I licked the blood from my lips, sitting back on my heels, I stared at the cabinet. My appetite was growing. I couldn't see it leading to anything but disaster.

The day of the task I dressed quickly and headed down to the common room. As I made my way down the steps, I stumbled on the last one, running head first into someone else. We both landed with an 'oaf' on the floor, looking up from the person's chest, I saw it was Harry. Blushing, I quickly got up, cursing myself for being a clumsy vampire.

"Sorry," I muttered shyly, holding my hand out to him.

Harry only laughed, "It's alright." He took my hand, letting me help him up. "You headed down to breakfast?"

"Oh. Well, I was going to wait for Hermione," I stuttered.

He rolled his eyes, "She's been down there for a half hour, come on."

Smiling I followed Harry out the portrait hole and down the marble steps. "Are you excited for today," I asked him.

Harry frowned, "I wouldn't use the word excited," he mumbled as we reached the bottom.

I grabbed his hand, kissing his cheek, "You'll do great." I let go and skipped down the rows of tables to Hermione, plopping down next to her. "Good morning," I smiled.

"Good morning," she smiled back.

I watched as Harry took a seat across forms with a red face. I giggled, he glanced up at me, quickly looking back down, blushing even even more, I couldn't help but laugh at him. Within an instant my fangs fell down from my gums, quickly I turned away. Taking the small bag from my pocket, I slipped the few remaining pills, I felt slightly anxious, I had sent my mother a letter a few days ago to send me more, but they still haven't arrived yet. I popped them into the mouth, my fangs slowly retreating back into my gums. I turned, seeing Hermione's conceded face, and Harry's curious one. I mumbled a sorry before returning to my breakfast.

Harry and I trekked over the rocky terrain a little later. Hermione apologized profusely but went off the find Ron, making sure he was still going to come to the first task. I saw Harry wringing his hands the closer we got to the stadium. I touched his arm, getting him to look over at me.

"Calm down. It'll be okay," I smiled up at him. He nodded, but his gaze was distant still. "Harry," I insisted, peering up at him. "Dumbledore won't let you get hurt. You'll be okay." Harry gave me a more reassuring nod but still seemed dazed. Sighing, I linked my arm with his, resting my head on his shoulder as we continued our way to the stadium.

I noticed Draco and Abby walking closer to us, and I couldn't help but noticed Draco's sneer. I frowned as they came closer, Abby smiling, she reached out, hugging Harry.

"Good luck," she murmured.

"Thanks, Abby," he muttered back.

I glanced at Draco again, his sneer still on his face. "What's your problem, Malfoy," I snapped at him.

Abby turned to look at Draco, frowning. Draco's sneer dropped seeing her disapproving face. He shuffled his feet, glaring at me again. "Nothing, half-breed." My eyes quickly snapped to Abby.

"Draco," she snapped. "I told you, you can't believe everything your father writes to you." I let out a little sigh of relief, knowing she didn't say anything to him about it. He only shuffled his feet again, averting his eyes from hers, a silent apology. She looked at Harry and I apologetically, "I'll see you at the stadium, Juliet. I'll talk to you after, Harry. Be careful." Taking Draco's arm, she pulled him away, he sent a glare back at me, before following after Abby.

"Half-breed?" questioned Harry.

I shook my head, "My father's a squib. Maybe that's what he meant." Frowning, Harry nodded, clearly not believing me. "I'm going to find Hermione and Ron, I'll bring Hermione by the tent before you go out, alright?" He nodded, trudging up the the hillside.

I wandered off trying to find Hermione and Ron in the straggler groups of students. Finally I found the two of them arguing with each other. I quickly made my way over to them, "Hermione, I need your help."

She frowned, "What's wrong?"

I glanced at Ron before I gently pulled her away, "I think Malfoy knows."

"What?!" Hissed Hermione. "Did Abby...?"

"Did Abby what?" Ron snapped from behind us. We both turned to see him with his arms crossed, in over-protective brother mode.

"Abby didn't do anything," I said assuringly. "I-" I smacked my hand to my forehead. "This is difficult to explain." Ron only raised an eyebrow at me. I sighed, "Ron, you ever hear of vampires?" He gave me a look as if to say 'duh'. "Now, I am being absolutely serious, Ronald Weasley. I am trusting you with something very important, you mess up and you'll have me to answer to, got it?" He swallowed, unfolding his arms, but nodded. I side stepped closer to Ron, turning away from the majority of the crowds. "My father's a Squib. He's were I get my magic from. My mother..." I trailed off, trying to find the words. "My mother is where I get the other half from. Ron, I'm half vampire."

Ron chuckled nervously while Hermione glanced around, making sure no one was listening. "You're joking." I shook my head, giving him the most serious look I could. "Oh," was all he could muster.

"How do you know that Draco knows if Abby didn't tell him," Hermione asked, reverting back to our previous conversation as we started to move towards the stadium.

"Abby knows?!" gasped Ron.

I rolled my eyes, "Of course. Remember when she said she saw visions about me over the summer. Obviously she knows." Ron let out a soft 'oh'. "And I think it was his father. Abby said something about how he 'shouldn't believe everything his father writes to him'."

"Well of course it's his father," muttered Hermione.

"Just exactly who all knows about this," Ron butted in again.

"Just you two, Abby, and Draco. Plus the teachers I guess," I shrugged.

"Harry doesn't know?" asked Ron.

I shook my head, "No one is supposed to know. Not yet anyway."

"Maybe Abby will be able to convince him his fathers wrong," suggested Hermione.

Ron let out a snort, "Right. Because Malfoy never listens to his father."

I stopped near the champions tent, "I promised Harry I'd talk to him before the task..."

"I'll come with you<" Hermione said instantly. We both turned to Ron. "We'll meet you up in the stands."

"Ron," I called as he turned away, "Please give Harry another chance. This task...He didn't put his name in the Goblet." Ron turned away again, his shoulders hunched over. Hermione and I snuck over to the tents as we could hear Dumbledore over the crowd.

"Your attention, please. This is a great day for all of us." A dragon roared. "Each of the three tasks involves a very considerable danger. Please keep your seats at all times." Hermione got close to the tent, trying to get Harry's attention. "This will minimize any risks you may be exposed to."

"Harry? Is that you?" she whispered.

"Yeah," he whispered back behind the cloth of the tent.

"How are you feeling," I whispered from behind Hermione. He said nothing.

"The key is to concentrate. After that, you just have to..." Hermione trailed off.

"Battle a dragon," Harry finished for her.

Hermione and I both burst through the tent entrance, pulling Harry into a hug. A flash could be heard form behind us, the three of us pulled away from each other, but I kept my arm looped through Harry's.

"Young love," gasped the horrid Rita Skeeter. "Oh, Mr. Potter is quite the ladies man I see. How..." She walked into the tent, clapping her hands together. "Stirring," she pointed to her ugly green quill, commanding it to write for her. She turned back to us, "If everything goes unfortunately today, you three may even make the front page." She eyed me, then gasped, "You're Kevin Capulet's daughter." She purred, "Very juicy subject, your parents are."

I stepped forward, "You write anything about me or my parents in that God for sake column you call journalism and I will have your job, Skeeter."

"Ohh, feisty are we?" she smiled at her quill. "You don't scare me."

I gave her an evil grin, "Need I remind you who my mother is, Rita? I'm sure that is she found out about you harassing her daughter and her friends, she wouldn't take the news lightly." My fangs extended down, causing Rita to jump back. I blinked, my face going back to normal. "Good."

"You have no business here," growled Krum. "This tent is for champions, and friends."

Rita turned to him, taking her quill in hand, "No matter." she grabbed her quill across Krum's cheek, "We've got what we wanted." Rita's photographer took a picture of Krum, before they both retreated quickly into the corner as the headmasters, and Barty Crouch entered the tent.

"Good day, champions. Gather 'round please," cried Dumbledore, the champions circled up, pulling Hermione and I into it as well. "Now, you've waited, you've wandered, and at last the moment has arrived. A moment only four of you can fully appreciate." Dumbledore looked around the circle, finally noticing Hermione and I. "What are you doing here, Miss Granger, Miss Capulet?"

"Oh, um, sorry, we'll just...go." She grabbed my arm, pulling me away, I gave Harry's hand one last squeeze as we left. "Come on," she muttered, "Let's go find Ron."

Hermione and I climbed up the bleachers, finding our seats just as Cedric came out to battle the first dragon. I was nervous throughout the first three battles, keeping a frown on my face the whole time. Cedric, Krum, and Fleur had all made it out with their golden eggs. All that was left was Harry and the Hungarian Horntail.

"Three of our champions have now faced their dragon and so each one of them will proceed to the next task. And now our fourth and final contestant," Dumbledore shouted.

"Harry! Harry! Harry!" could be heard all around the stands. I looked over the rocky terrain in the small arena and watched as Harry emerged from the small cave to the tents. the Horntail was visible to us but not to Harry. I watched in agony as Harry stepped out into the sunlight and was almost speared to death by the dragon's tail. The dragon flaunted her tail a few more times, then turned to breath fire at Harry. Harry shed away from the dancing flames, feebly trying to climb up the rocks. The dragon floated closer to Harry and threw her tail down.

"Harry!" I screamed at him, leaning over the banister. The tail missed Harry by inches, the clash causing Harry to slide down the rocks. The dragon caught him with her wing, throwing him over to the other side of the arena. Harry picked himself up, running behind a few towering rocks as the dragon blew fire at him once more.

"Your wand, Harry!" cried Hermione. "Your wand!"

"Accio Firebolt!" Harry cried from where he was hiding. The dragon flew closer, causing Harry to quickly run over to a large rock, hiding behind it. I saw him peek out, looking up to his broom that was flying overhead. The dragon blew fire again, Harry pulled back. As soon as the dragon had stopped Harry looked out again, jumping onto his nearing broom stick, avoiding the oncoming flames.

"Yes!" Hermione and I screamed.

Harry flew down close to the egg but turned away from it as flames blew over it. The dragon took off after Harry, only to be restricted by its chains. In one smooth motion of its leg the dragon broke its chain leash, flying after Harry. Harry flew up through the teacher's part of the stand and the Horntail followed after him, dragging her tail over the canvas and tearing up part of the stands.

"Yeah!" Ron, and the Twins shouted together.

"Well done, dragon!" shouted the Twins.

I scanned the sky over head but both Harry and the dragon were gone. I then reached out with my ears. The wind was a major factor to my hearing, and because I wasn't full vampire so I couldn't block it out. But I could tell that Harry and the dragon were over by the castle. It sounded like the dragon was climbing across the roofs of Gryffindor Tower. I muttered this to Hermione and Ron as I listened to Harry fall from a great distance before regaining control of his broom. I shuttered as I listen to the dragon catch up to Harry. I heard a loud crash, I knew that the dragon had flown into the stone bridge. But I could no longer hear Harry over the wind. I stood up, gazing over the horizon wondering where he was. The dragon's screams could be heard as it fell into the canyon below.

"Can you hear Harry," whispered Hermione.

I shook my head. The stands were quite with anticipation. I held the railing in the death grip, so hard that the wood was starting to splinter under my hands. Hermione quickly pulled my hands away, holding my hands in hers, waiting for Harry. Finally Harry's broom mounted figure flew over the rocks, into view.

"Yes!" Hermione screamed clapping her hands. I sighed with relief. Harry flew down over the stands, grabbing the golden egg, holding it up for everyone to see. I sat back, smiling, watching Harry dismount his broom, before being ushered back into the tent by Dumbledore.
