I had been avoiding John all weekend, and I didn't talk to him on Monday morning either

"Joules, Are we okay?" John asked timidly.

" we're fine, John." I stated " That just cant happen again, I value our friendship too much, to fuck it up."

"Okay." John smiled weakly and drove.

"can I come over later? I am completely confused by the Geometry Homework." John asked as i opened the door

" don't get lost genius." I smiled

"I don't know joules all these houses look the same and all the doors look alike." John joked

"Hey?" John stood at my door i looked up from my laptop

"Hey, you can come in." John sat down next to me on my bed.

"what the fuck is sine?" john asked in frustration

"opposite divided by hypotenuse." I smiled looking at him the way his forehead moved when he was angered by something was cute and the confusion in his eyes was funny too.

garrett walked in with his book too. he eyed John for a second and john didn't look up
"Can borrow you notes?" i pointed to a pink binder which garrett picked up and sat next to john studying it carefully.

"is there a test tomorrow?" Trey asked looking into my room.

"No." john muttered looking up.

"says the kid who's pushing ineligible."" Garrett laughed

"bro that's not funny, my dad will kill me if i don't play this year" john said to Garrett

"are you children done?" I asked laughing at their bickering.

"I'm older." they both whined.

"whatever, can i listen to the radio?" they nodded.
