"Can you stake my heart?" I asked her sadly, handing her the wooden stake.
Lise shook her head, shoving the infernal thing back towards me.
"I'm not going to! I love you."
I could feel the blood rimming my eyes.
"Do it for me." I pleaded.
Lise shook her head fiercely, " No. Whose going to protect me from them ?!" She screamed.
I sniffed, "I'll never let them hurt you, not tonight."
The blood was running out of my eyes uncontrollably.
"Can you stake me before the sun goes down?"
And so I felt a sharp pain in my chest, making my eyes close.
"Vampires will never hurt you. I promise." I whisper.
