I wrote those entries eleven years ago. Now that I look back on them, I didn’t fully explain what Eleanor did for me. Even though she was blind, she had a way of comforting me and helping me feel not alone. She did more with her words than with her actions.
I still live in Haiti and I am married now with four of my own kids. Eleanor lives with us and she is my kids adopted grandmother. My kids, Kathleen, Michael, Samuel and Austin all look up to Eleanor for guidance and love. She has the way of helping them.
She has been blind all these years but still manages to help me through my tough times as well. She gives me comforting thoughts and ideas that could help me with my problems. And I want her to stay with my family and me forever.
