Kai is a young Elf in her tribe, being a soldier at just fifteen. Her tribe's leader, Criss, is barely older than her, with a family full of hidden pasts and confusion.
When their tribe's way of life is threatened, they band together with two neighboring tribes to the west and east, working together in an attempt to solve the problem.
