Lamb in the Spring

She looked like a painting. Something called Lamb in the Spring or First Petal or something equally cute and ethreal. Her hair was pulled back, which Chase had never seen before, and she looked like a doe--dewy and breathless.
He caught her eye and admired the fast, wide smile that graced her face. He strolled over to her, more nervous than he looked, and he looked pretty nervous. He looked about five, rosy and anxious, going outside to retrieve the mail without permission.
"Hi," she said.
"Hi," he said.
And then it was quiet, so he grabbed her hand.
