‹ Prequel: All for Helena

Helena, Go Where Your Heart Takes You.

Chapter 2.

When I woke up again, it was noon. I groaned, and got out of bed. It was still Tuesday. I went back downstairs to see Helena had gone to school. I half expected for her to still be home. I missed my husband, and I missed my daughter. Like the old Helena. The one who didn’t hate me. I picked up my cell phone and hit the ‘3’ button.

Hello?” Michelle asked.

“Hi Michelle!” I chirped. She laughed.

Frank home yet?” she asked.

“No. On Thursday,” I told her. She hummed.

Don’t you ever worry he’d cheat on you while he’s on tour?” she asked. I laughed.

“No. Never. I know how much he loves me. He’d never ever do that,” I told her.

Yea, I know,” she giggled. “I gotta go! Bye!” she exclaimed and then hung up. I sighed and put my phone down. On cue, Helena, and her friends Greg, Taylor, Zach, and Harrison, walked in.

“Hey Ma,” Helena said, going straight to the fridge.

“Hi. How was school?” I asked. She shrugged and pulled out a juice box. With that, they all left the kitchen. I can’t wait for Frank to come back.
