Soul Shards

Alicia paced up and down infront of the door to the council of lights audience room. She was having second thoughts about asking the council about feeling and why angels dont have souls, maybe it was a bad idea what if they told her off or got angry with her. Alicia just made up her mind and started walking down the hall away from the audience room when the anouncer came out and said that the council was ready for her now. Alicia spun round and walked up to the man.
"I am ready," she said, then muttered to her self "I supose theres no way out now,"

The anouncer lead her into a the small room and to the podium on which she had to stand and then he retreated back to the door. The council elders, and elders were what they were even if they looked like the picture of youth itself, but each elder was as stern as stone.
"Alicia Cherrybloom, you have called the council together because you seek knowledge, is this correct?" said the council meber called Alexander Owens
"It is my elder, I seek the knowledge on what feelings are and why..why we don't have souls," replied Alicia
"Ah my dear child, feelings are what the lesser creatures have, they weaken you," said Mires the oldest of the council
"But my elder, what are they exactly?" asked Alicia
"They are hard to explain, feelings are things that the lesser creatures have and they have many names, for many different feelings, and each feeling has a perpose also each feeling has a counterpart, you shouldn't really worry about them much my dear, for you need a soul to have a feeling and as you know we dont have souls," replied Mires
"That, leads to the other question i asked, why do we not have souls?" questioned Alicia
"Becuase we are the higher beings my dear, we are pure unlike those filthy humans why do you think it is us that protects them and not the otherway around," stated Mires strongly, others on the council nodding in agreement, however some just sat passively watching the debate, not taking either side, though for a council member not to pick a side in a debate then it ment they were generally on the side of the angel on the podium.
"But how can feelings and a soul be so bad? I say this because human-kind has a beautiful feeling and thats love isnt it, when I was walking the lower realms the people who said I love you wanted to nothing more then to be with that person, and don't people that fight for love, don't they fight harder?" said Alicia fighting back
"You defend these humans petty feelings, yes love is beautiful but love has the ugly counterpart of hatered," replied Mires his voice raising as though it was a debate
"Is it not my duty to defend these humans elder? and if this is where the angel council is going then maybe I don't want to be an angel any more," fought back Alicia
"You would give up your immortality to become weak and pathetic like those humans, just so you can feel?" snorted Mires with amusement
"Aye, I would, it shows the selflessness of one and teaches a lesson of humility to are kind," argued Alicia
"Your words are starting to sound like heracy, watch your tounge or you will be bannished for eternity!" said Mires raising his voice
"My words are just your words are the ones that are treaturous, we are taught to gaurd and protect, however you insult the ones we are sworn to protect, you wouldn't care if every last human was wiped out would you, you're a monster!" said Alicia fiercly
"I will not stand for this young upstarts treasonous words, she shall be bannished for eternity, all those in favour say Aye and all those against say nothing!" shouted Mires
Only one angel did not say aye, he was intreagued by Alicia's bravery, he was the youngest of the court, his name was Robbie Blake.
"You have one hour to pack any possetions you want to take and say goodbye to friends and family, then you must leave, oh and don't bother trying to become human you will never succeed there is only one way and it is nigh on impossible," said Mires
"I will be gone within the hour," said Alicia a bright fire blazing in her eyes

Alicia was just saying goodbye to her only friend Jenna, when Robbie walked up to her and hugged her.
"What ... What was that for?" said Alicia shocked
"You're very brave for standing up to Mires like that and it is about time someone put him in his place. Anyways the way you can become human is you need to find the soul shard, It is hidden in the core of the mountain known as Galis, and the only way into the cave down to the shard is on the tip of the mountain, also know when you land next on human soil you will be stripped of your ability to fly and your immortality you will be practically human on the outside but still have no feelings within," replied Robbie "So are you ready to go now?"
"I am, trying to get rid of me already?" said Alicia half laughing
"No, I'm your esscort to the human realms, I need to make sure you get to there and dont fly off somewhere else, this is the decree of the counsil," replied Robbie "So where is your pack, your provisions?"
"This is the only thing i take with me," replied Alicia holding up her arm and showing Robbie the bracelet that was on her wrist
"What ever you feel happy with," said Robbie "Another thing, on your quest too reach the soul shard you cannot go it alone you will need help,"
"I see, and I thank you for your kidness," replied Alicia then she gave Jenna one last hug and flew off towards the humman realms with Robbie escourting her.
