Six Feet Under The Stars

Just friends...

I woke up at around 10am,the sun was shining brightly through my window. I groaned then pulled myself out of bed, i had slept for 13 hours and i was still so tired. Crap i thought to myself i was meant to be hanging out with Alex today. I ran to the bathroom and locked the door, i quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth then put on a bit of mascara and foundation i didn't really wear that much makeup, i hated the feeling like i was fake so i tried my best not to wear to much. Once i had finished with my makeup i rushed back into my room, then went into my walk in closet. I pulled a pair of black skinny jeans and put a white tanktop on, i looked in my shoe box for my purple converses but i couldn't see them anywhere they must not be here yet i thought to myself. I slipped a pair of black ballet shoes on. I grabbed my phone slipped it into my pocket then headed downstairs. I was suprised to see Alex sitting on the couch. He was sitting next to my dad watching the t.v, they must of been watching sports because both of them had their eyes glued to the television. They didn't even notice me coming down the stairs, not even when i was standing meters away from them. I coughed loud enough for them to hear me and Alex's eyes snapped onto me. He smiled and got up.

"Hi, Maddie." Alex said.

"Hey, what'cha doing?" I asked.

"Just watching the game with your dad the Ravens are winning." He replied grinning.

"Ah cool, we still hanging out today?"

"Yeah just gonna watch the rest of the game do you mind?"

"No its fine, i'll just go make some breakfast."

Alex sat back down next to my dad. I headed to the kitched, i heard a few woops from Alex i guess the Ravens scored. My mum was sitting on a stool in the kitchen drinking a coffee. She looked up at me and smiled her first happy smile since we got here. I opened the cupboard door and grabbed a loaf of bread, i took two slices out and put it into the toaster. I looked back at my mum she seemed happy that made me really happy, a minute later my toast popped up i didn't like my toast being in long. I went up to the fridge and got a tub of butter out and started spreading my toast then put the butter back in the now full fridge. It looked like somebody had been shopping finally. I sat next to my mum and finished eating my toast, she drained the last of her coffee and walked out of the room. Strange i thought she usually talks to me in the morning well sometimes she isn't really a morning person, she's better when she isn't working though. As i washed up my plate Alex walked in, he stood there for a few minutes i didn't even realize he was there.

"Soo, guess what!" He said excitedly.

"What?" I asked puzzled.

"Ravens won, also it's my birthday in a few weeks you better get me a present." He replied winking.

"Haha, of course i will. How old will you be?" My voice trailled off.

"18! Finally might be having a party you'll come right?"

"Sure i will. You ready to go out now?"

"For sure."

My dad gave me the evil eye on the way out of the house, he is so protective. Surley he realized that Alex is a nice guy, besides we're just friends... I looked at Alex and wondered wether we could ever be more than just friends. No stop it Maddie don't think like that you've only known him two days he only likes you as a friend i muttered to myself. Me and Alex talked the whole way to the park about everything, favorite movies, favorite bands, songs it turned out we had quite a lot in common such as we both loved blink 182 our favorite movie the fifth element both (well nearly) go to the same school Dulanley High School. I was really happy after getting to know Alex more i felt closer to him already, he was definatly my best friend he was the first friend i made in Baltimore i hope i never lose him. Alex told me he had a suprise for me, i was nervous but excited at the same time he took me to Rian's house i remembered it from yesterday. Alex knocked at the door and Rian opened the door. I walked in nervously, they took me down to the basement and i realized i shouldn't of been as worried as i was it looked like i was going to listen to their band finally and i couldn't wait. All i can say is wow they are amazing, honestly the most talented people i know. Woah.
